| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [15:48] | La yamassuhum feeha nasabunwama hum minha bimukhrajeena |  لا يمسهم فيها نصب وما هم منها بمخرجينلاَ يَمَسُّهُمْ فِيهَا نَصَبٌ وَمَا هُم مِّنْهَا بِمُخْرَجِينَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | انہیں وہاں کوئی تکلیف نہ پہنچے گی اور نہ ہی وہ وہاں سے نکالے جائیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | There no sense of fatigue shall touch them, nor shall they (ever) be asked to leave.
| ||||||
| Words | |لا - Not| يمسهم - will touch them| فيها - therein| نصب - fatigue,| وما - and not| هم - they| منها - from it| بمخرجين - will be removed.| | ||||||
| 2. [15:49] | Nabbi/ AAibadee annee anaalghafooru alrraheemu | نبئ عبادي أني أنا الغفور الرحيم نَبِّىءْ عِبَادِي أَنِّي أَنَا الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (اے حبیب!) آپ میرے بندوں کو بتا دیجئے کہ میں ہی بیشک بڑا بخشنے والا نہایت مہربان ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Tell My servants that I am indeed the Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful;

| 3. [15:50] | Waanna AAathabee huwa alAAathabual-aleemu | وأن عذابي هو العذاب الأليم وَ أَنَّ عَذَابِي هُوَ الْعَذَابُ الْأَلِيمُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (اس بات سے بھی آگاہ کر دیجئے) کہ میرا ہی عذاب بڑا دردناک عذاب ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And that My Penalty will be indeed the most grievous Penalty.

| Words | |وأن - And that| عذابي - My punishment,| هو - it| العذاب - (is) the punishment| الأليم - the most painful.| | ||||||
| 4. [15:52] | Ith dakhaloo AAalayhi faqaloosalaman qala inna minkum wajiloona | إذ دخلوا عليه فقالوا سلاما قال إنا منكم وجلون إِذْ دَخَلُواْ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُواْ سَلاَمًا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمْ وَجِلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جب وہ ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) کے پاس آئے تو انہوں نے (آپ کو) سلام کہا۔ ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) نے کہا کہ ہم آپ سے کچھ ڈر محسوس کر رہے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | When they entered his presence and said, "Peace!" He said, "We feel afraid of you!"

| Words | |إذ - When| دخلوا - they entered| عليه - upon him| فقالوا - and said,| سلاما - "Peace."| قال - He said,| إنا - "Indeed, we| منكم - (are) of you| وجلون - afraid."| | ||||||
| 5. [15:53] | Qaloo la tawjal innanubashshiruka bighulamin AAaleemin | قالوا لا توجل إنا نبشرك بغلام عليم قَالُواْ لاَ تَوْجَلْ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلامٍ عَلِيمٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (مہمان فرشتوں نے) کہا: آپ خائف نہ ہوں ہم آپ کو ایک دانش مند لڑکے (کی پیدائش) کی خوشخبری سناتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "Fear not! We give thee glad tidings of a son endowed with wisdom."

| Words | |قالوا - They said,| لا - "(Do) not| توجل - be afraid,| إنا - indeed, we| نبشرك - [we] bring glad tidings to you| بغلام - of a boy| عليم - learned."| | ||||||
| 6. [15:54] | Qala abashshartumoonee AAalaan massaniya alkibaru fabima tubashshirooni | قال أبشرتموني على أن مسني الكبر فبم تبشرون قَالَ أَبَشَّرْتُمُونِي عَلَى أَن مَّسَّنِيَ الْكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: تم مجھے اس حال میں خوشخبری سنا رہے ہو جبکہ مجھے بڑھاپا لاحق ہو چکا ہے سو اب تم کس چیز کی خوشخبری سناتے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He said: "Do ye give me glad tidings that old age has seized me? Of what, then, is your good news?"

| Words | |قال - He said,| أبشرتموني - "Do you give me glad tidings| على - "Do you give me glad tidings| أن - although| مسني - has overtaken me| الكبر - old age?| فبم - Then about what| تبشرون - you give glad tidings?"| | ||||||
| 7. [15:55] | Qaloo bashsharnaka bialhaqqifala takun mina alqaniteena | قالوا بشرناك بالحق فلا تكن من القانطين قَالُواْ بَشَّرْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ فَلاَ تَكُن مِّنَ الْقَانِطِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | انہوں نے کہا: ہم آپ کو سچی بشارت دے رہے ہیں سو آپ نا امید نہ ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "We give thee glad tidings in truth: be not then in despair!"

| Words | |قالوا - They said,| بشرناك - "We give you glad tidings| بالحق - in truth,| فلا - so (do) not| تكن - be| من - of| القانطين - the despairing."| | ||||||
| 8. [15:56] | Qala waman yaqnatu min rahmatirabbihi illa alddalloona | قال ومن يقنط من رحمة ربه إلا الضالون قَالَ وَمَن يَقْنَطُ مِن رَّحْمَةِ رَبِّهِ إِلاَّ الضَّآلُّونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: اپنے رب کی رحمت سے گمراہوں کے سوا اور کون مایوس ہو سکتا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He said: "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, but such as go astray?"

| Words | |قال - He said,| ومن - "And who| يقنط - despairs| من - of| رحمة - (the) Mercy| ربه - (of) his Lord| إلا - except| الضالون - those who are astray."| | ||||||
| 9. [15:57] | Qala fama khatbukumayyuha almursaloona | قال فما خطبكم أيها المرسلون قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) نے دریافت کیا: اے (اللہ کے) بھیجے ہوئے فرشتو! (اس بشارت کے علاوہ) اور تمہارا کیا کام ہے (جس کے لئے آئے ہو) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Abraham said: "What then is the business on which ye (have come), O ye messengers (of Allah)?"

| Words | |قال - He said,| فما - "Then what| خطبكم - (is) your business,| أيها - O messengers?"| المرسلون - O messengers?"| | ||||||
| 10. [15:58] | Qaloo inna orsilna ilaqawmin mujrimeena | قالوا إنا أرسلنا إلى قوم مجرمين قَالُواْ إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَى قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | انہوں نے کہا: ہم ایک مجرم قوم کی طرف بھیجے گئے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin,
| ||||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| إنا - "Indeed, we| أرسلنا - [we] have been sent| إلى - to| قوم - a people -| مجرمين - criminals,| | ||||||
| 11. [15:59] | Illa ala lootin innalamunajjoohum ajmaAAeena | إلا آل لوط إنا لمنجوهم أجمعين إِلاَّ آلَ لُوطٍ إِنَّا لَمُنَجُّوهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سوائے لوط (علیہ السلام) کے گھرانے کے، بیشک ہم ان سب کو ضرور بچا لیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Excepting the adherents of Lut: them we are certainly (charged) to save (from harm),- All -

| Words | |إلا - Except| آل - the family| لوط - of Lut;| إنا - indeed, we| لمنجوهم - surely will save them| أجمعين - all| | ||||||
| 12. [15:60] | Illa imraatahu qaddarna innahalamina alghabireena | إلا امرأته قدرنا إنها لمن الغابرين إِلاَّ امْرَأَتَهُ قَدَّرْنَا إِنَّهَا لَمِنَ الْغَابِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بجز ان کی بیوی کے، ہم (یہ) طے کر چکے ہیں کہ وہ ضرور (عذاب کے لئے) پیچھے رہ جانے والوں میں سے ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Except his wife, who, We have ascertained, will be among those who will lag behind."

| Words | |إلا - Except| امرأته - his wife."| قدرنا - We have decreed| إنها - that she| لمن - (is) surely of| الغابرين - those who remain behind.| | ||||||
| 13. [15:61] | Falamma jaa ala lootinalmursaloona | فلما جاء آل لوط المرسلون فَلَمَّا جَاءَ آلَ لُوطٍ الْمُرْسَلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر جب لوط (علیہ السلام) کے خاندان کے پاس وہ فرستادہ (فرشتے) آئے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | At length when the messengers arrived among the adherents of Lut,
| ||||||
| Words | |فلما - And when| جاء - came| آل - (to the) family| لوط - (of) Lut| المرسلون - the messengers,| | ||||||
| 14. [15:63] | Qaloo bal ji/naka bimakanoo feehi yamtaroona | قالوا بل جئناك بما كانوا فيه يمترون قَالُواْ بَلْ جِئْنَاكَ بِمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَمْتَرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | انہوں نے کہا: (ایسا نہیں) بلکہ ہم آپ کے پاس وہ (عذاب) لے کر آئے ہیں جس میں یہ لوگ شک کرتے رہے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "Yea, we have come to thee to accomplish that of which they doubt.
| ||||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| بل - "Nay,| جئناك - we have come to you| بما - with what| كانوا - they were| فيه - in it| يمترون - disputing,| | ||||||
| 15. [15:65] | Faasri bi-ahlika biqitAAin minaallayli waittabiAA adbarahum wala yaltafitminkum ahadun waimdoo haythutu/maroona | فأسر بأهلك بقطع من الليل واتبع أدبارهم ولا يلتفت منكم أحد وامضوا حيث تؤمرون فَأَسْرِ بِأَهْلِكَ بِقِطْعٍ مِّنَ اللَّيْلِ وَاتَّبِعْ أَدْبَارَهُمْ وَلاَ يَلْتَفِتْ مِنكُمْ أَحَدٌ وَامْضُواْ حَيْثُ تُؤْمَرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس آپ اپنے اہلِ خانہ کو رات کے کسی حصہ میں لے کر نکل جائیے اور آپ خود ان کے پیچھے پیچھے چلئے اور آپ میں سے کوئی مڑ کر (بھی) پیچھے نہ دیکھے اور آپ کو جہاں جانے کا حکم دیا گیا ہے (وہاں) چلے جائیے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Then travel by night with thy household, when a portion of the night (yet remains), and do thou bring up the rear: let no one amongst you look back, but pass on whither ye are ordered."

| 16. [15:66] | Waqadayna ilayhi thalikaal-amra anna dabira haola-i maqtooAAunmusbiheena | وقضينا إليه ذلك الأمر أن دابر هؤلاء مقطوع مصبحين وَقَضَيْنَا إِلَيْهِ ذَلِكَ الْأَمْرَ أَنَّ دَابِرَ هَؤُلاَءِ مَقْطُوعٌ مُّصْبِحِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے لوط (علیہ السلام) کو اس فیصلہ سے بذریعہ وحی آگاہ کر دیا کہ بیشک اُن کے صبح کرتے ہی اُن لوگوں کی جڑ کٹ جائے گی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And We made known this decree to him, that the last remnants of those (sinners) should be cut off by the morning.

| Words | |وقضينا - And We conveyed| إليه - to him| ذلك - [that]| الأمر - the matter| أن - that| دابر - (the) root| هؤلاء - (of) these| مقطوع - would be cut off| مصبحين - (by) early morning.| | ||||||
| 17. [15:68] | Qala inna haola-i dayfeefala tafdahooni | قال إن هؤلاء ضيفي فلا تفضحون قَالَ إِنَّ هَؤُلاَءِ ضَيْفِي فَلاَ تَفْضَحُونِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | لوط (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: بیشک یہ لوگ میرے مہمان ہیں پس تم مجھے (اِن کے بارے میں) شرم سار نہ کرو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Lut said: "These are my guests: disgrace me not:
| ||||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| إن - "Indeed,| هؤلاء - these| ضيفي - (are) my guests,| فلا - so (do) not| تفضحون - shame me.| | ||||||
| 18. [15:70] | Qaloo awa lam nanhaka AAani alAAalameena | قالوا أولم ننهك عن العالمين قَالُوا أَوَلَمْ نَنْهَكَ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ (بد مست لوگ) بولے: (اے لوط!) کیا ہم نے تمہیں دنیا بھر کے لوگوں (کی حمایت) سے منع نہیں کیا تھا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "Did we not forbid thee (to speak) for all and sundry?"
| ||||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| أولم - "Did not| ننهك - we forbid you| عن - from| العالمين - the world?"| | ||||||
| 19. [15:71] | Qala haola-i banateein kuntum faAAileena | قال هؤلاء بناتي إن كنتم فاعلين قَالَ هَؤُلاَءِ بَنَاتِي إِن كُنتُمْ فَاعِلِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | لوط (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: یہ میری (قوم کی) بیٹیاں ہیں اگر تم کچھ کرنا چاہتے ہو (تو بجائے بدکرداری کے ان سے نکاح کر لو) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He said: "There are my daughters (to marry), if ye must act (so)."
| ||||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| هؤلاء - "These| بناتي - (are) my daughters| إن - if| كنتم - you would be| فاعلين - doers."| | ||||||
| 20. [15:72] | LaAAamruka innahum lafee sakratihimyaAAmahoona | لعمرك إنهم لفي سكرتهم يعمهون لَعَمْرُكَ إِنَّهُمْ لَفِي سَكْرَتِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (اے حبیبِ مکرّم!) آپ کی عمرِ مبارک کی قَسم، بیشک یہ لوگ (بھی قومِ لوط کی طرح) اپنی بدمستی میں سرگرداں پھر رہے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Verily, by thy life (O Prophet), in their wild intoxication, they wander in distraction, to and fro.

| Words | |لعمرك - By your life| إنهم - indeed, they| لفي - were in| سكرتهم - their intoxication,| يعمهون - wandering blindly.| | ||||||
| 21. [15:74] | FajaAAalna AAaliyaha safilahawaamtarna AAalayhim hijaratan minsijjeelin | فجعلنا عاليها سافلها وأمطرنا عليهم حجارة من سجيل فَجَعَلْنَا عَالِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن سِجِّيلٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو ہم نے ان کی بستی کو زِیر و زَبر کر دیا اور ہم نے ان پر پتھر کی طرح سخت مٹی کے کنکر برسائے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay.
| ||||||
| Words | |فجعلنا - And We made| عاليها - its highest (part)| سافلها - its lowest,| وأمطرنا - and We rained| عليهم - upon them| حجارة - stones| من - of| سجيل - baked clay.| | ||||||
| 22. [15:75] | Inna fee thalika laayatinlilmutawassimeena | إن في ذلك لآيات للمتوسمين إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّلْمُتَوَسِّمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک اس (واقعہ) میں اہلِ فراست کے لئے نشانیاں ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Behold! in this are Signs for those who by tokens do understand.
| ||||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| في - in| ذلك - that| لآيات - (are) the Signs| للمتوسمين - for those who discern.| | ||||||
| 23. [15:77] | Inna fee thalika laayatanlilmu/mineena | إن في ذلك لآية للمؤمنين إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً لِّلْمُؤمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک اس (واقعۂ قومِ لوط) میں اہلِ ایمان کے لئے نشانی (عبرت) ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Behold! in this is a sign for those who believed.
| ||||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| في - in| ذلك - that| لآية - surely (is) a Sign| للمؤمنين - for the believers.| | ||||||
| 24. [15:78] | Wa-in kana as-habual-aykati lathalimeena | وإن كان أصحاب الأيكة لظالمين وَإِن كَانَ أَصْحَابُ الْأَيْكَةِ لَظَالِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک باشندگانِ اَیکہ (یعنی گھنی جھاڑیوں کے رہنے والے) بھی بڑے ظالم تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And the Companions of the Wood were also wrong-doers;
| ||||||
| Words | |وإن - And were| كان - And were| أصحاب - (the) companions| الأيكة - (of) the wood| لظالمين - surely wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 25. [15:79] | Faintaqamna minhum wa-innahumalabi-imamin mubeenin | فانتقمنا منهم وإنهما لبإمام مبين فَانتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَبِإِمَامٍ مُّبِينٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس ہم نے ان سے (بھی) انتقام لیا، اور یہ دونوں (بستیاں) کھلے راستہ پر (موجود) ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So We exacted retribution from them. They were both on an open highway, plain to see.
| ||||||
| Words | |فانتقمنا - So We took retribution| منهم - from them,| وإنهما - and indeed, they both| لبإمام - (were) on a highway| مبين - clear.| | ||||||
| 26. [15:80] | Walaqad kaththaba as-habualhijri almursaleena | ولقد كذب أصحاب الحجر المرسلين وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ أَصْحَابُ الْحِجْرِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک وادئ حجر کے باشندوں نے بھی رسولوں کو جھٹلایا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The Companions of the Rocky Tract also rejected the messengers:

| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| كذب - denied| أصحاب - (the) companions| الحجر - (of) the Rocky Tract,| المرسلين - the Messengers.| | ||||||
| 27. [15:81] | Waataynahum ayatinafakanoo AAanha muAArideena | وآتيناهم آياتنا فكانوا عنها معرضين وَآتَيْنَاهُمْ آيَاتِنَا فَكَانُواْ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے انہیں (بھی) اپنی نشانیاں دیں مگر وہ ان سے رُوگردانی کرتے رہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We sent them Our Signs, but they persisted in turning away from them.
| ||||||
| Words | |وآتيناهم - And We gave them| آياتنا - Our Signs,| فكانوا - but they were| عنها - from them| معرضين - turning away.| | ||||||
| 28. [15:82] | Wakanoo yanhitoona mina aljibalibuyootan amineena | وكانوا ينحتون من الجبال بيوتا آمنين وَكَانُواْ يَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا آمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور وہ لوگ بے خوف و خطر پہاڑوں میں گھر تراشتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure.
| ||||||
| Words | |وكانوا - And they used (to)| ينحتون - carve| من - from| الجبال - the mountains,| بيوتا - houses,| آمنين - secure.| | ||||||
| 29. [15:84] | Fama aghna AAanhum ma kanooyaksiboona | فما أغنى عنهم ما كانوا يكسبون فَمَا أَغْنَى عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَكْسِبُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو جو (مال) وہ کمایا کرتے تھے وہ ان سے (اللہ کے عذاب) کو دفع نہ کر سکا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)!

| Words | |فما - And not| أغنى - availed| عنهم - them| ما - what| كانوا - they used (to)| يكسبون - earn.| | ||||||
| 30. [15:85] | Wama khalaqna alssamawatiwaal-arda wama baynahuma illabialhaqqi wa-inna alssaAAata laatiyatunfaisfahi alssafhaaljameela | وما خلقنا السماوات والأرض وما بينهما إلا بالحق وإن الساعة لآتية فاصفح الصفح الجميل وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا إِلاَّ بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّ السَّاعَةَ لَآتِيَةٌ فَاصْفَحِ الصَّفْحَ الْجَمِيلَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو اور جو کچھ ان دونوں کے درمیان ہے عبث پیدا نہیں کیا، اور یقیناً قیامت کی گھڑی آنے والی ہے، سو (اے اخلاقِ مجسّم!) آپ بڑے حسن و خوبی کے ساتھ درگزر کرتے رہئے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness.

| Words | |وما - And not| خلقنا - We created| السماوات - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth| وما - and whatever| بينهما - (is) between them| إلا - except| بالحق - in truth.| وإن - And indeed,| الساعة - the Hour| لآتية - (is) surely coming.| فاصفح - So overlook| الصفح - (with) forgiveness| الجميل - gracious.| | ||||||
