| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [53:40] | Waanna saAAyahu sawfa yura |  وأن سعيه سوف يرىوَأَنَّ سَعْيَهُ سَوْفَ يُرَى | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہ کہ اُس کی ہر کوشش عنقریب دکھا دی جائے گی (یعنی ظاہر کر دی جائے گی) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight:
| ||||||
| Words | |وأن - And that| سعيه - his striving| سوف - will soon| يرى - be seen.| | ||||||
| 2. [53:41] | Thumma yujzahu aljazaa al-awfa | ثم يجزاه الجزاء الأوفى ثُمَّ يُجْزَاهُ الْجَزَاءَ الْأَوْفَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر اُسے (اُس کی ہر کوشش کا) پورا پورا بدلہ دیا جائے گا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete;
| ||||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| يجزاه - he will be recompensed for it| الجزاء - the recompense| الأوفى - the fullest.| | ||||||
| 3. [53:28] | Wama lahum bihi min AAilmin inyattabiAAoona illa alththanna wa-innaalththanna la yughnee mina alhaqqishay-an | وما لهم به من علم إن يتبعون إلا الظن وإن الظن لا يغني من الحق شيئا وَمَا لَهُم بِهِ مِنْ عِلْمٍ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَإِنَّ الظَّنَّ لَا يُغْنِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ شَيْئًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور انہیں اِس کا کچھ بھی علم نہیں ہے، وہ صرف گمان کے پیچھے چلتے ہیں، اور بیشک گمان یقین کے مقابلے میں کسی کام نہیں آتا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But they have no knowledge therein. They follow nothing but conjecture; and conjecture avails nothing against Truth.

| Words | |وما - And not| لهم - for them| به - about it| من - any| علم - knowledge.| إن - Not| يتبعون - they follow| إلا - but| الظن - assumption.| وإن - And indeed,| الظن - the assumption| لا - (does) not| يغني - avail| من - against| الحق - the truth| شيئا - anything.| | ||||||
| 4. [53:29] | FaaAArid AAan man tawalla AAanthikrina walam yurid illa alhayataalddunya | فأعرض عن من تولى عن ذكرنا ولم يرد إلا الحياة الدنيا فَأَعْرِضْ عَن مَّن تَوَلَّى عَن ذِكْرِنَا وَلَمْ يُرِدْ إِلَّا الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو آپ اپنی توجّہ اس سے ہٹا لیں جو ہماری یاد سے رُوگردانی کرتا ہے اور سوائے دنیوی زندگی کے اور کوئی مقصد نہیں رکھتا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Therefore shun those who turn away from Our Message and desire nothing but the life of this world.

| Words | |فأعرض - So turn away| عن - from| من - (him) who| تولى - turns away| عن - from| ذكرنا - Our Reminder| ولم - and not| يرد - he desires| إلا - except| الحياة - the life| الدنيا - (of) the world.| | ||||||

[53:30] | Thalika mablaghuhum mina alAAilmiinna rabbaka huwa aAAlamu biman dalla AAan sabeelihiwahuwa aAAlamu bimani ihtada | ذلك مبلغهم من العلم إن ربك هو أعلم بمن ضل عن سبيله وهو أعلم بمن اهتدى ذَلِكَ مَبْلَغُهُم مِّنَ الْعِلْمِ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ اهْتَدَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اُن لوگوں کے علم کی رسائی کی یہی حد ہے، بیشک آپ کا رب اس شخص کو (بھی) خوب جانتا ہے جو اُس کی راہ سے بھٹک گیا ہے اور اس شخص کو (بھی) خوب جانتا ہے جِس نے ہدایت پا لی ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | That is as far as knowledge will reach them. Verily thy Lord knoweth best those who stray from His Path, and He knoweth best those who receive guidance.

| Words | |ذلك - That| مبلغهم - (is) their sum| من - of| العلم - knowledge.| إن - Indeed,| ربك - your Lord| هو - (is) He (Who)| أعلم - knows best| بمن - (he) who| ضل - strays| عن - from| سبيله - His Path,| وهو - and He| أعلم - knows best| بمن - (he) who| اهتدى - is guided.| | ||||||

[53:31] | Walillahi ma fee alssamawatiwama fee al-ardi liyajziya allatheena asaoobima AAamiloo wayajziya allatheena ahsanoobialhusna | ولله ما في السماوات وما في الأرض ليجزي الذين أساءوا بما عملوا ويجزي الذين أحسنوا بالحسنى وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ لِيَجْزِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسَاؤُوا بِمَا عَمِلُوا وَيَجْزِيَ الَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا بِالْحُسْنَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اﷲ ہی کے لئے ہے جو کچھ آسمانوں اور جو کچھ زمین میں ہے تاکہ جن لوگوں نے برائیاں کیں انہیں اُن کے اعمال کا بدلہ دے اور جن لوگوں نے نیکیاں کیں انہیں اچھا اجر عطا فرمائے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Yea, to Allah belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth: so that He rewards those who do evil, according to their deeds, and He rewards those who do good, with what is best.

| Words | |ولله - And for Allah| ما - (is) whatever| في - (is) in| السماوات - the heavens| وما - and whatever| في - (is) in| الأرض - the earth| ليجزي - that He may recompense| الذين - those who| أساءوا - do evil| بما - with what| عملوا - they have done| ويجزي - and recompense| الذين - those who| أحسنوا - do good| بالحسنى - with the best.| | ||||||
| 7. [53:35] | aAAindahu AAilmu alghaybi fahuwa yara | أعنده علم الغيب فهو يرى أَعِندَهُ عِلْمُ الْغَيْبِ فَهُوَ يَرَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا اس کے پاس غیب کا علم ہے کہ وہ دیکھ رہا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see?
| ||||||
| Words | |أعنده - Is with him| علم - (the) knowledge| الغيب - (of) the unseen,| فهو - so he| يرى - sees?| | ||||||
| 8. [53:36] | Am lam yunabba/ bima fee suhufimoosa | أم لم ينبأ بما في صحف موسى أَمْ لَمْ يُنَبَّأْ بِمَا فِي صُحُفِ مُوسَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا اُسے اُن (باتوں) کی خبر نہیں دی گئی جو موسٰی (علیہ السلام) کے صحیفوں میں (مذکور) تھیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses-

| Words | |أم - Or| لم - not| ينبأ - he was informed| بما - with what| في - (was) in| صحف - (the) Scriptures| موسى - (of) Musa,| | ||||||
| 9. [53:42] | Waanna ila rabbika almuntaha | وأن إلى ربك المنتهى وَأَنَّ إِلَى رَبِّكَ الْمُنتَهَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہ کہ (بالآخر سب کو) آپ کے رب ہی کی طرف پہنچنا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | That to thy Lord is the final Goal;
| ||||||
| Words | |وأن - And that| إلى - to| ربك - your Lord| المنتهى - (is) the final goal.| | ||||||
| 10. [53:43] | Waannahu huwa adhaka waabka | وأنه هو أضحك وأبكى وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَضْحَكَ وَأَبْكَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہ کہ وہی (خوشی دے کر) ہنساتا ہے اور (غم دے کر) رُلاتا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears;
| ||||||
| Words | |وأنه - And that He| هو - [He]| أضحك - makes (one) laugh| وأبكى - and makes (one) weep.| | ||||||
| 11. [53:44] | Waannahu huwa amata waahya | وأنه هو أمات وأحيا وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَمَاتَ وَأَحْيَا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہ کہ وہی مارتا ہے اور جِلاتا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | That it is He Who granteth Death and Life;
| ||||||
| Words | |وأنه - And that He| هو - [He]| أمات - causes death| وأحيا - and gives life.| | ||||||
| 12. [53:32] | Allatheena yajtaniboona kaba-iraal-ithmi waalfawahisha illa allamama innarabbaka wasiAAu almaghfirati huwa aAAlamu bikum ithanshaakum mina al-ardi wa-ith antum ajinnatun feebutooni ommahatikum fala tuzakkoo anfusakumhuwa aAAlamu bimani ittaqa | الذين يجتنبون كبائر الإثم والفواحش إلا اللمم إن ربك واسع المغفرة هو أعلم بكم إذ أنشأكم من الأرض وإذ أنتم أجنة في بطون أمهاتكم فلا تزكوا أنفسكم هو أعلم بمن اتقى الَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَائِرَ الْإِثْمِ وَالْفَوَاحِشَ إِلَّا اللَّمَمَ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ وَاسِعُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِكُمْ إِذْ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ الْأَرْضِ وَإِذْ أَنتُمْ أَجِنَّةٌ فِي بُطُونِ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ فَلَا تُزَكُّوا أَنفُسَكُمْ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ اتَّقَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جو لوگ چھوٹے گناہوں (اور لغزشوں) کے سوا بڑے گناہوں اور بے حیائی کے کاموں سے پرہیز کرتے ہیں، بیشک آپ کا رب بخشش کی بڑی گنجائش رکھنے والا ہے، وہ تمہیں خوب جانتا ہے جب اس نے تمہاری زندگی کی ابتداء اور نشو و نما زمین (یعنی مٹی) سے کی تھی اور جبکہ تم اپنی ماؤں کے پیٹ میں جَنیِن (یعنی حمل) کی صورت میں تھے، پس تم اپنے آپ کو بڑا پاک و صاف مَت جتایا کرو، وہ خوب جانتا ہے کہ (اصل) پرہیزگار کون ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Those who avoid great sins and shameful deeds, only (falling into) small faults,- verily thy Lord is ample in forgiveness. He knows you well when He brings you out of the earth, And when ye are hidden in your mothers' wombs. Therefore justify not yourselves: He knows best who it is that guards against evil.

| Words | |الذين - Those who| يجتنبون - avoid| كبائر - great| الإثم - sins| والفواحش - and the immoralities| إلا - except| اللمم - the small faults;| إن - indeed,| ربك - your Lord| واسع - (is) vast| المغفرة - (in) forgiveness.| هو - He| أعلم - (is) most knowing about you| بكم - (is) most knowing about you| إذ - when| أنشأكم - He produced you| من - from| الأرض - the earth| وإذ - and when| أنتم - you (were)| أجنة - fetuses| في - in| بطون - (the) wombs| أمهاتكم - (of) your mothers.| فلا - So (do) not| تزكوا - ascribe purity| أنفسكم - (to) yourselves.| هو - He| أعلم - knows best| بمن - (he) who| اتقى - fears.| | ||||||
| 13. [53:46] | Min nutfatin itha tumna | من نطفة إذا تمنى مِن نُّطْفَةٍ إِذَا تُمْنَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | نطفہ (ایک تولیدی قطرہ) سے جبکہ وہ (رحمِ مادہ میں) ٹپکایا جاتا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | From a seed when lodged (in its place);
| ||||||
| Words | |من - From| نطفة - a semen-drop| إذا - when| تمنى - it is emitted.| | ||||||
| 14. [53:47] | Waanna AAalayhi alnnash-ata al-okhra | وأن عليه النشأة الأخرى وَأَنَّ عَلَيْهِ النَّشْأَةَ الْأُخْرَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہ کہ (مرنے کے بعد) دوبارہ زندہ کرنا (بھی) اسی پر ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead);
| ||||||
| Words | |وأن - And that| عليه - upon Him| النشأة - (is) the bringing forth| الأخرى - another.| | ||||||
| 15. [53:48] | Waannahu huwa aghna waaqna | وأنه هو أغنى وأقنى وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَغْنَى وَأَقْنَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہ کہ وہی (بقدرِ ضرورت دے کر) غنی کر دیتا ہے اور وہی (ضرورت سے زائد دے کر) خزانے بھر دیتا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction;
| ||||||
| Words | |وأنه - And that He| هو - [He]| أغنى - enriches| وأقنى - and suffices.| | ||||||
| 16. [53:38] | Alla taziru waziratun wizraokhra | ألا تزر وازرة وزر أخرى أَلَّا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کہ کوئی بوجھ اٹھانے والا کسی دوسرے (کے گناہوں) کا بوجھ نہیں اٹھائے گا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another;
| ||||||
| Words | |ألا - That not| تزر - will bear| وازرة - a bearer of burdens| وزر - (the) burden| أخرى - (of) another,| | ||||||
| 17. [53:39] | Waan laysa lil-insani illa masaAAa | وأن ليس للإنسان إلا ما سعى وَأَن لَّيْسَ لِلْإِنسَانِ إِلَّا مَا سَعَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہ کہ انسان کو (عدل میں) وہی کچھ ملے گا جس کی اُس نے کوشش کی ہوگی (رہا فضل اس پر کسی کا حق نہیں وہ محض اﷲ کی عطاء و رضا ہے جس پر جتنا چاہے کر دے) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | That man can have nothing but what he strives for;
| ||||||
| Words | |وأن - And that| ليس - is not| للإنسان - for man| إلا - except| ما - what| سعى - he strives (for),| | ||||||
| 18. [53:45] | Waannahu khalaqa alzzawjayni alththakarawaal-ontha | وأنه خلق الزوجين الذكر والأنثى وَأَنَّهُ خَلَقَ الزَّوْجَيْنِ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنثَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہ کہ اُسی نے نَر اور مادہ دو قِسموں کو پیدا کیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | That He did create in pairs,- male and female,
| ||||||
| Words | |وأنه - And that He| خلق - created| الزوجين - the pairs,| الذكر - the male| والأنثى - and the female| | ||||||
| 19. [53:49] | Waannahu huwa rabbu alshshiAAra | وأنه هو رب الشعرى وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ رَبُّ الشِّعْرَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہ کہ وہی شِعرٰی (ستارے) کا رب ہے (جس کی دورِ جاہلیت میں پوجا کی جاتی تھی) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star);
| ||||||
| Words | |وأنه - And that He| هو - [He]| رب - (is the) Lord| الشعرى - (of) Sirius| | ||||||
| 20. [53:50] | Waannahu ahlaka AAadan al-oola | وأنه أهلك عادا الأولى وَأَنَّهُ أَهْلَكَ عَادًا الْأُولَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہ کہ اسی نے پہلی (قومِ) عاد کو ہلاک کیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people),
| ||||||
| Words | |وأنه - And that He| أهلك - destroyed| عادا - Aad| الأولى - the first,| | ||||||
| 21. [53:51] | Wathamooda fama abqa | وثمود فما أبقى وَثَمُودَاْ فَمَا أَبْقَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (قومِ) ثمود کو (بھی)، پھر (ان میں سے کسی کو) باقی نہ چھوڑا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life.
| ||||||
| Words | |وثمود - And Thamud,| فما - so not| أبقى - He spared,| | ||||||
| 22. [53:53] | Waalmu/tafikata ahwa | والمؤتفكة أهوى وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَةَ أَهْوَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (قومِ لُوط کی) الٹی ہوئی بستیوں کو (اوپر اٹھا کر) اُسی نے نیچے دے پٹکا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah).
| ||||||
| Words | |والمؤتفكة - And the overturned cities| أهوى - He overthrew| | ||||||
| 23. [53:54] | Faghashshaha ma ghashsha | فغشاها ما غشى فَغَشَّاهَا مَا غَشَّى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس اُن کو ڈھانپ لیا جس نے ڈھانپ لیا (یعنی پھر اُن پر پتھروں کی بارش کر دی گئی) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up.
| ||||||
| Words | |فغشاها - So covered them| ما - what| غشى - covered.| | ||||||
| 24. [53:55] | Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbika tatamara | فبأي آلاء ربك تتمارى فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكَ تَتَمَارَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو (اے انسان!) تو اپنے پروردگار کی کن کن نعمتوں میں شک کرے گا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about?
| ||||||
| Words | |فبأي - Then which (of)| آلاء - the Favors| ربك - (of) your Lord,| تتمارى - will you doubt?| | ||||||
| 25. [53:57] | Azifati al-azifatu | أزفت الآزفة أَزِفَتْ الْآزِفَةُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | آنے والی (قیامت کی گھڑی) قریب آپہنچی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh:

| Words | |أزفت - Has approached| الآزفة - the Approaching Day.| | ||||||
| 26. [53:59] | Afamin hatha alhadeethitaAAjaboona | أفمن هذا الحديث تعجبون أَفَمِنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ تَعْجَبُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس کیا تم اس کلام سے تعجب کرتے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Do ye then wonder at this recital?
| ||||||
| Words | |أفمن - Then of| هذا - this| الحديث - statement| تعجبون - you wonder?| | ||||||
| 27. [53:52] | Waqawma noohin min qablu innahum kanoohum athlama waatgha | وقوم نوح من قبل إنهم كانوا هم أظلم وأطغى وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا هُمْ أَظْلَمَ وَأَطْغَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اس سے پہلے قومِ نوح کو (بھی ہلاک کیا)، بیشک وہ بڑے ہی ظالم اور بڑے ہی سرکش تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors,

| Words | |وقوم - And (the) people| نوح - (of) Nuh| من - before.| قبل - before.| إنهم - Indeed, they| كانوا - they were| هم - they were| أظلم - more unjust| وأطغى - and more rebellious.| | ||||||
| 28. [53:56] | Hatha natheerun mina alnnuthurial-oola | هذا نذير من النذر الأولى هَذَا نَذِيرٌ مِّنَ النُّذُرِ الْأُولَى | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | یہ (رسولِ اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم بھی) اگلے ڈر سنانے والوں میں سے ایک ڈر سنانے والے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old!
| ||||||
| Words | |هذا - This| نذير - (is) a warner,| من - from| النذر - the warners| الأولى - the former.| | ||||||
| 29. [53:58] | Laysa laha min dooni Allahi kashifatun | ليس لها من دون الله كاشفة لَيْسَ لَهَا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ كَاشِفَةٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اﷲ کے سوا اِسے کوئی ظاہر (اور قائم) کرنے والا نہیں ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare.
| ||||||
| Words | |ليس - Not is| لها - for it| من - besides| دون - besides| الله - Allah| كاشفة - any remover.| | ||||||
| 30. [53:60] | Watadhakoona wala tabkoona | وتضحكون ولا تبكون وَتَضْحَكُونَ وَلَا تَبْكُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور تم ہنستے ہو اور روتے نہیں ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And will ye laugh and not weep,-
| ||||||
| Words | |وتضحكون - And you laugh| ولا - and (do) not| تبكون - weep,| | ||||||
