| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [23:27] | Faawhayna ilayhi ani isnaAAialfulka bi-aAAyunina wawahyina fa-ithajaa amruna wafara alttannooru faoslukfeeha min kullin zawjayni ithnayni waahlaka illaman sabaqa AAalayhi alqawlu minhum wala tukhatibneefee allatheena thalamoo innahum mughraqoona |  فأوحينا إليه أن اصنع الفلك بأعيننا ووحينا فإذا جاء أمرنا وفار التنور فاسلك فيها من كل زوجين اثنين وأهلك إلا من سبق عليه القول منهم ولا تخاطبني في الذين ظلموا إنهم مغرقونفَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْهِ أَنِ اصْنَعِ الْفُلْكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَوَحْيِنَا فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ التَّنُّورُ فَاسْلُكْ فِيهَا مِن كُلٍّ زَوْجَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلَّا مَن سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ الْقَوْلُ مِنْهُمْ وَلَا تُخَاطِبْنِي فِي الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا إِنَّهُم مُّغْرَقُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ہم نے ان کی طرف وحی بھیجی کہ تم ہماری نگرانی میں اور ہمارے حکم کے مطابق ایک کشتی بناؤ سو جب ہمارا حکمِ (عذاب) آجائے اور تنور (بھر کر پانی) ابلنے لگے تو تم اس میں ہر قسم کے جانوروں میں سے دو دو جوڑے (نر و مادہ) بٹھا لینا اور اپنے گھر والوں کو بھی (اس میں سوار کر لینا) سوائے ان میں سے اس شخص کے جس پر فرمانِ (عذاب) پہلے ہی صادر ہو چکا ہے، اور مجھ سے ان لوگوں کے بارے میں کچھ عرض بھی نہ کرنا جنہوں نے (تمہارے انکار و استہزاء کی صورت میں) ظلم کیا ہے، وہ (بہر طور) ڈبو دیئے جائیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So We inspired him (with this message): "Construct the Ark within Our sight and under Our guidance: then when comes Our Command, and the fountains of the earth gush forth, take thou on board pairs of every species, male and female, and thy family- except those of them against whom the Word has already gone forth: And address Me not in favour of the wrong-doers; for they shall be drowned (in the Flood).

| Words | |فأوحينا - So We inspired| إليه - to him,| أن - "That| اصنع - construct| الفلك - the ship| بأعيننا - under Our eyes,| ووحينا - and Our inspiration,| فإذا - then when| جاء - comes| أمرنا - Our Command| وفار - and gushes forth| التنور - the oven,| فاسلك - then put| فيها - into it| من - of| كل - every (kind)| زوجين - (of) mates| اثنين - two| وأهلك - and your family,| إلا - except| من - those| سبق - (has) preceded| عليه - against whom| القول - the Word| منهم - thereof.| ولا - And (do) not| تخاطبني - address Me| في - concerning| الذين - those who| ظلموا - wronged,| إنهم - indeed, they| مغرقون - (are) the ones to be drowned.| | ||||||
| 2. [23:29] | Waqul rabbi anzilnee munzalan mubarakanwaanta khayru almunzileena | وقل رب أنزلني منزلا مباركا وأنت خير المنزلين وَقُل رَّبِّ أَنزِلْنِي مُنْزَلًا مُّبَارَكًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْمُنْزِلِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور عرض کرنا: اے میرے رب! مجھے با برکت منزل پر اتار اور تو سب سے بہتر اتارنے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And say: "O my Lord! enable me to disembark with thy blessing: for Thou art the Best to enable (us) to disembark."

| Words | |وقل - And say,| رب - "My Lord,| أنزلني - cause me to land| منزلا - (at) a landing place| مباركا - blessed,| وأنت - and You| خير - (are) the Best| المنزلين - (of) those who cause to land.'"| | ||||||
| 3. [23:30] | Inna fee thalika laayatinwa-in kunna lamubtaleena | إن في ذلك لآيات وإن كنا لمبتلين إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ وَإِن كُنَّا لَمُبْتَلِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک اس (واقعہ) میں (بہت سی) نشانیاں ہیں اور یقیناً ہم آزمائش کرنے والے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Verily in this there are Signs (for men to understand); (thus) do We try (men).

| Words | |إن - Indeed,| في - in| ذلك - that| لآيات - surely (are) Signs,| وإن - and indeed,| كنا - We are| لمبتلين - surely testing.| | ||||||
| 4. [23:31] | Thumma ansha/na min baAAdihim qarnan akhareena | ثم أنشأنا من بعدهم قرنا آخرين ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا آخَرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ہم نے ان کے بعد دوسری قوم کو پیدا فرمایا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then We raised after them another generation.

| Words | |ثم - Then| أنشأنا - We produced| من - after them| بعدهم - after them| قرنا - a generation| آخرين - another.| | ||||||
| 5. [23:32] | Faarsalna feehim rasoolan minhum anioAAbudoo Allaha ma lakum min ilahin ghayruhuafala tattaqoona | فأرسلنا فيهم رسولا منهم أن اعبدوا الله ما لكم من إله غيره أفلا تتقون فَأَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِمْ رَسُولًا مِنْهُمْ أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَهٍ غَيْرُهُ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو ہم نے ان میں (بھی) انہی میں سے رسول بھیجا کہ تم اللہ کی عبادت کرو اور اس کے سوا تمہارا کوئی معبود نہیں ہے، تو کیا تم نہیں ڈرتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And We sent to them a messenger from among themselves, (saying), "Worship Allah! ye have no other god but Him. Will ye not fear (Him)?"

[23:33] | Waqala almalao min qawmihi allatheenakafaroo wakaththaboo biliqa-i al-akhiratiwaatrafnahum fee alhayati alddunyama hatha illa basharun mithlukum ya/kulumimma ta/kuloona minhu wayashrabu mimma tashraboona | وقال الملأ من قومه الذين كفروا وكذبوا بلقاء الآخرة وأترفناهم في الحياة الدنيا ما هذا إلا بشر مثلكم يأكل مما تأكلون منه ويشرب مما تشربون وَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ مِن قَوْمِهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِلِقَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ وَأَتْرَفْنَاهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا مَا هَذَا إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ يَأْكُلُ مِمَّا تَأْكُلُونَ مِنْهُ وَيَشْرَبُ مِمَّا تَشْرَبُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ان کی قوم کے (بھی وہی) سردار (اور وڈیرے) بول اٹھے جو کفر کر رہے تھے اور آخرت کی ملاقات کو جھٹلاتے تھے اور ہم نے انہیں دنیوی زندگی میں (مال و دولت کی کثرت کے باعث) آسودگی (بھی) دے رکھی تھی (لوگوں سے کہنے لگے) کہ یہ شخص تو محض تمہارے ہی جیسا ایک بشر ہے، وہی چیزیں کھاتا ہے جو تم کھاتے ہو اور وہی کچھ پیتا ہے جو تم پیتے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And the chiefs of his people, who disbelieved and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, and on whom We had bestowed the good things of this life, said: "He is no more than a man like yourselves: he eats of that of which ye eat, and drinks of what ye drink.

| Words | |وقال - And said| الملأ - the chiefs| من - of| قومه - his people| الذين - who| كفروا - disbelieved| وكذبوا - and denied| بلقاء - (the) meeting| الآخرة - (of) the Hereafter,| وأترفناهم - while We had given them luxury| في - in| الحياة - the life| الدنيا - (of) the world,| ما - "Not| هذا - (is) this| إلا - but| بشر - a man| مثلكم - like you.| يأكل - He eats| مما - of what| تأكلون - you eat| منه - [from it],| ويشرب - and he drinks| مما - of what| تشربون - you drink.| | ||||||
| 7. [23:34] | Wala-in ataAAtum basharan mithlakuminnakum ithan lakhasiroona | ولئن أطعتم بشرا مثلكم إنكم إذا لخاسرون وَلَئِنْ أَطَعْتُم بَشَرًا مِثْلَكُمْ إِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَّخَاسِرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اگر تم نے اپنے ہی جیسے ایک بشر کی اطاعت کر لی تو پھر تم ضرور خسارہ اٹھانے والے ہو گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "If ye obey a man like yourselves, behold, it is certain ye will be lost.
| ||||||
| Words | |ولئن - And surely if| أطعتم - you obey| بشرا - a man| مثلكم - like you,| إنكم - indeed, you| إذا - then| لخاسرون - surely (will be) losers.| | ||||||
| 8. [23:35] | AyaAAidukum annakum itha mittumwakuntum turaban waAAithaman annakummukhrajoona | أيعدكم أنكم إذا متم وكنتم ترابا وعظاما أنكم مخرجون أَيَعِدُكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ إِذَا مِتُّمْ وَكُنتُمْ تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَنَّكُم مُّخْرَجُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا یہ (شخص) تم سے یہ وعدہ کر رہا ہے کہ جب تم مر جاؤ گے اور تم مٹی اور (بوسیدہ) ہڈیاں ہو جاؤ گے تو تم (دوبارہ زندہ ہو کر) نکالے جاؤ گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Does he promise that when ye die and become dust and bones, ye shall be brought forth (again)?

| Words | |أيعدكم - Does he promise you -| أنكم - that you| إذا - when| متم - you are dead| وكنتم - and you become| ترابا - dust| وعظاما - and bones| أنكم - that you| مخرجون - (will be) brought forth?| | ||||||
| 9. [23:37] | In hiya illa hayatunaalddunya namootu wanahya wamanahnu bimabAAootheena | إن هي إلا حياتنا الدنيا نموت ونحيا وما نحن بمبعوثين إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوثِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ (آخرت کی زندگی کچھ) نہیں ہماری زندگانی تو یہی دنیا ہے ہم (یہیں) مرتے اور جیتے ہیں اور (بس ختم)، ہم (دوبارہ) نہیں اٹھائے جائیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "There is nothing but our life in this world! We shall die and we live! But we shall never be raised up again!

| Words | |إن - Not| هي - it| إلا - (is) but| حياتنا - our life| الدنيا - (of) the world,| نموت - we die| ونحيا - and we live,| وما - and not| نحن - we| بمبعوثين - (will be) resurrected.| | ||||||
| 10. [23:38] | In huwa illa rajulun iftaraAAala Allahi kathiban wama nahnulahu bimu/mineena | إن هو إلا رجل افترى على الله كذبا وما نحن له بمؤمنين إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا رَجُلٌ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا وَمَا نَحْنُ لَهُ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | یہ تو محض ایسا شخص ہے جس نے اللہ پر جھوٹا بہتان لگایا ہے اور ہم بالکل اس پر ایمان لانے والے نہیں ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "He is only a man who invents a lie against Allah, but we are not the ones to believe in him!"

| Words | |إن - Not| هو - (is) he| إلا - but| رجل - a man| افترى - who (has) invented| على - about| الله - Allah| كذبا - a lie,| وما - and not| نحن - we| له - (in) him| بمؤمنين - (are) believers."| | ||||||
| 11. [23:39] | Qala rabbi onsurnee bimakaththabooni | قال رب انصرني بما كذبون قَالَ رَبِّ انصُرْنِي بِمَا كَذَّبُونِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (پیغمبر نے) عرض کیا: اے میرے رب! میری مدد فرما اس صورتحال میں کہ انہوں نے مجھے جھٹلا دیا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (The prophet) said: "O my Lord! help me: for that they accuse me of falsehood."

| Words | |قال - He said,| رب - "My Lord!| انصرني - Help me| بما - because| كذبون - they deny me."| | ||||||
| 12. [23:40] | Qala AAamma qaleelin layusbihunnanadimeena | قال عما قليل ليصبحن نادمين قَالَ عَمَّا قَلِيلٍ لَيُصْبِحُنَّ نَادِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ارشاد ہوا: تھوڑی ہی دیر میں وہ پشیماں ہو کر رہ جائیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (Allah) said: "In but a little while, they are sure to be sorry!"

| Words | |قال - He said,| عما - "After a little while| قليل - "After a little while| ليصبحن - surely they will become| نادمين - regretful."| | ||||||
| 13. [23:41] | Faakhathat-humu alssayhatubialhaqqi fajaAAalnahum ghuthaanfabuAAdan lilqawmi alththalimeena | فأخذتهم الصيحة بالحق فجعلناهم غثاء فبعدا للقوم الظالمين فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ بِالْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ غُثَاءً فَبُعْدًا لِّلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس سچے وعدہ کے مطابق انہیں خوفناک آواز نے آپکڑا سو ہم نے انہیں خس و خاشاک بنا دیا، پس ظالم قوم کے لئے (ہماری رحمت سے) دوری و محرومی ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then the Blast overtook them with justice, and We made them as rubbish of dead leaves (floating on the stream of Time)! So away with the people who do wrong!

| Words | |فأخذتهم - So seized them| الصيحة - the awful cry| بالحق - in truth,| فجعلناهم - and We made them| غثاء - (as) rubbish of dead leaves.| فبعدا - So away| للقوم - with the people -| الظالمين - the wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 14. [23:42] | Thumma ansha/na min baAAdihimquroonan akhareena | ثم أنشأنا من بعدهم قرونا آخرين ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ قُرُونًا آخَرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ہم نے ان کے بعد (یکے بعد دیگرے) دوسری امتوں کو پیدا فرمایا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then We raised after them other generations.
| ||||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| أنشأنا - We produced| من - after them| بعدهم - after them| قرونا - a generation| آخرين - another.| | ||||||
| 15. [23:43] | Ma tasbiqu min ommatin ajalahawama yasta/khiroona | ما تسبق من أمة أجلها وما يستأخرون مَا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کوئی بھی امت اپنے وقت مقرر سے نہ آگے بڑھ سکتی ہے اور نہ وہ لوگ پیچھے ہٹ سکتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | No people can hasten their term, nor can they delay (it).

| Words | |ما - Not| تسبق - can precede| من - any| أمة - nation| أجلها - its term,| وما - and not| يستأخرون - they (can) delay (it).| | ||||||

[23:44] | Thumma arsalna rusulana tatrakulla ma jaa ommatan rasooluha kaththaboohufaatbaAAna baAAdahum baAAdan wajaAAalnahumahadeetha fabuAAdan liqawmin la yu/minoona | ثم أرسلنا رسلنا تترى كل ما جاء أمة رسولها كذبوه فأتبعنا بعضهم بعضا وجعلناهم أحاديث فبعدا لقوم لا يؤمنون ثُمَّ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا تَتْرَا كُلَّ مَا جَاءَ أُمَّةً رَّسُولُهَا كَذَّبُوهُ فَأَتْبَعْنَا بَعْضَهُم بَعْضًا وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَحَادِيثَ فَبُعْدًا لِّقَوْمٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ہم نے پے در پے اپنے رسولوں کو بھیجا۔ جب بھی کسی امت کے پاس اس کا رسول آتا وہ اسے جھٹلا دیتے تو ہم (بھی) ان میں سے بعض کو بعض کے پیچھے (ہلاک در ہلاک) کرتے چلے گئے اور ہم نے انہیں داستانیں بنا ڈالا، پس ہلاکت ہو ان لوگوں کے لئے جو ایمان نہیں لاتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then sent We our messengers in succession: every time there came to a people their messenger, they accused him of falsehood: so We made them follow each other (in punishment): We made them as a tale (that is told): So away with a people that will not believe!

| 17. [23:45] | Thumma arsalna moosa waakhahuharoona bi-ayatina wasultaninmubeenin | ثم أرسلنا موسى وأخاه هارون بآياتنا وسلطان مبين ثُمَّ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَى وَأَخَاهُ هَارُونَ بِآيَاتِنَا وَسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ہم نے موسٰی (علیہ السلام) اور ان کے بھائی ہارون (علیہ السلام) کو اپنی نشانیاں اور روشن دلیل دے کر بھیجا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron, with Our Signs and authority manifest,

| Words | |ثم - Then| أرسلنا - We sent| موسى - Musa| وأخاه - and his brother| هارون - Harun| بآياتنا - with Our Signs| وسلطان - and an authority| مبين - clear| | ||||||
| 18. [23:46] | Ila firAAawna wamala-ihi faistakbaroowakanoo qawman AAaleena | إلى فرعون وملئه فاستكبروا وكانوا قوما عالين إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلاَئِهِ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا وَكَانُوا قَوْمًا عَالِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | فرعون اور اس (کی قوم) کے سرداروں کی طرف تو انہوں نے بھی تکبّر و رعونت سے کام لیا اور وہ بھی (بڑے) ظالم و سرکش لوگ تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | To Pharaoh and his Chiefs: But these behaved insolently: they were an arrogant people.

| Words | |إلى - To| فرعون - Firaun| وملئه - and his chiefs,| فاستكبروا - but they behaved arrogantly| وكانوا - and they were| قوما - a people| عالين - haughty.| | ||||||
| 19. [23:47] | Faqaloo anu/minu libasharayni mithlinawaqawmuhuma lana AAabidoona | فقالوا أنؤمن لبشرين مثلنا وقومهما لنا عابدون فَقَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ لِبَشَرَيْنِ مِثْلِنَا وَقَوْمُهُمَا لَنَا عَابِدُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو انہوں نے (بھی یہی) کہا کہ کیا ہم اپنے جیسے دو بشروں پر ایمان لے آئیں حالانکہ ان کی قوم کے لوگ ہماری پرستش کرتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "Shall we believe in two men like ourselves? And their people are subject to us!"
| ||||||
| Words | |فقالوا - Then they said,| أنؤمن - "Shall we believe| لبشرين - (in) two men| مثلنا - like ourselves| وقومهما - while their people| لنا - for us| عابدون - (are) slaves."| | ||||||
| 20. [23:49] | Walaqad atayna moosaalkitaba laAAallahum yahtadoona | ولقد آتينا موسى الكتاب لعلهم يهتدون وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک ہم نے موسٰی (علیہ السلام) کو کتاب عطا فرمائی تاکہ وہ لوگ ہدایت پاجائیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And We gave Moses the Book, in order that they might receive guidance.

| Words | |ولقد - And verily,| آتينا - We gave| موسى - Musa| الكتاب - the Scripture| لعلهم - so that they may| يهتدون - be guided.| | ||||||
| 21. [23:50] | WajaAAalna ibna maryama waommahu ayatanwaawaynahuma ila rabwatin thatiqararin wamaAAeenin | وجعلنا ابن مريم وأمه آية وآويناهما إلى ربوة ذات قرار ومعين وَجَعَلْنَا ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَأُمَّهُ آيَةً وَآوَيْنَاهُمَا إِلَى رَبْوَةٍ ذَاتِ قَرَارٍ وَمَعِينٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے ابن مریم (عیسٰی علیہ السلام) کو اور ان کی ماں کو اپنی (زبردست) نشانی بنایا اور ہم نے ان دونوں کو ایک (ایسی) بلند زمین میں سکونت بخشی جو بآسائش و آرام رہنے کے قابل (بھی) تھی اور وہاں آنکھوں کے (نظارے کے) لئے بہتے پانی (یعنی نہریں، آبشاریں اور چشمے بھی) تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And We made the son of Mary and his mother as a Sign: We gave them both shelter on high ground, affording rest and security and furnished with springs.

| Words | |وجعلنا - And We made| ابن - (the) son| مريم - (of) Maryam| وأمه - and his mother| آية - a Sign,| وآويناهما - and We sheltered them| إلى - to| ربوة - a high ground,| ذات - of tranquility| قرار - of tranquility| ومعين - and water springs.| | ||||||
| 22. [23:51] | Ya ayyuha alrrusulukuloo mina alttayyibati waiAAmaloo salihaninnee bima taAAmaloona AAaleemun | يا أيها الرسل كلوا من الطيبات واعملوا صالحا إني بما تعملون عليم يَا أَيُّهَا الرُّسُلُ كُلُوا مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَاعْمَلُوا صَالِحًا إِنِّي بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اے رُسُلِ (عظام!) تم پاکیزہ چیزوں میں سے کھایا کرو (جیسا کہ تمہارا معمول ہے) اور نیک عمل کرتے رہو، بیشک میں جو عمل بھی تم کرتے ہو اس سے خوب واقف ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | O ye messengers! enjoy (all) things good and pure, and work righteousness: for I am well-acquainted with (all) that ye do.

| 23. [23:52] | Wa-inna hathihi ommatukum ommatan wahidatanwaana rabbukum faittaqooni | وإن هذه أمتكم أمة واحدة وأنا ربكم فاتقون وَإِنَّ هَذِهِ أُمَّتُكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَأَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَاتَّقُونِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک یہ تمہاری امت ہے (جو حقیقت میں) ایک ہی امت (ہے) اور میں تمہارا رب ہوں سو مجھ سے ڈرا کرو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Me (and no other).

| Words | |وإن - And indeed| هذه - this,| أمتكم - your religion,| أمة - (is) religion| واحدة - one.| وأنا - And I Am| ربكم - your Lord,| فاتقون - so fear Me.| | ||||||
| 24. [23:53] | FataqattaAAoo amrahum baynahumzuburan kullu hizbin bima ladayhim farihoona | فتقطعوا أمرهم بينهم زبرا كل حزب بما لديهم فرحون فَتَقَطَّعُوا أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ زُبُرًا كُلُّ حِزْبٍ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس انہوں نے اپنے (دین کے) امر کو آپس میں اختلاف کر کے فرقہ فرقہ کر ڈالا، ہر فرقہ والے اسی قدر (دین کے حصہ) سے جو ان کے پاس ہے خوش ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But people have cut off their affair (of unity), between them, into sects: each party rejoices in that which is with itself.

| Words | |فتقطعوا - But they cut off| أمرهم - their affair (of unity)| بينهم - between them| زبرا - (into) sects,| كل - each| حزب - faction| بما - in what| لديهم - they have| فرحون - rejoicing.| | ||||||
| 25. [23:54] | Fatharhum fee ghamratihim hattaheenin | فذرهم في غمرتهم حتى حين فَذَرْهُمْ فِي غَمْرَتِهِمْ حَتَّى حِينٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس آپ ان کو ایک عرصہ تک ان کے نشۂ جہالت و ضلالت میں چھوڑے رکھئے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But leave them in their confused ignorance for a time.
| ||||||
| Words | |فذرهم - So leave them| في - in| غمرتهم - their confusion| حتى - until| حين - a time.| | ||||||
| 26. [23:55] | Ayahsaboona annama numidduhumbihi min malin wabaneena | أيحسبون أنما نمدهم به من مال وبنين أَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّمَا نُمِدُّهُم بِهِ مِن مَّالٍ وَبَنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا وہ لوگ یہ گمان کرتے ہیں کہ ہم جو (دنیا میں) مال و اولاد کے ذریعہ ان کی مدد کر رہے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons,

| Words | |أيحسبون - Do they think| أنما - that what| نمدهم - We extend to them| به - [with it]| من - of| مال - wealth| وبنين - and children| | ||||||
| 27. [23:56] | NusariAAu lahum fee alkhayratibal la yashAAuroona | نسارع لهم في الخيرات بل لا يشعرون نُسَارِعُ لَهُمْ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ بَل لَّا يَشْعُرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | تو ہم ان کے لئے بھلائیوں (کی فراہمی) میں جلدی کر رہے ہیں، (ایسا نہیں) بلکہ انہیں شعور ہی نہیں ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand.

| Words | |نسارع - We hasten| لهم - to them| في - in| الخيرات - the good?| بل - Nay,| لا - not| يشعرون - they perceive.| | ||||||
| 28. [23:57] | Inna allatheena hum min khashyatirabbihim mushfiqoona | إن الذين هم من خشية ربهم مشفقون إِنَّ الَّذِينَ هُم مِّنْ خَشْيَةِ رَبِّهِم مُّشْفِقُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک جو لوگ اپنے رب کی خشیّت سے مضطرب اور لرزاں رہتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Verily those who live in awe for fear of their Lord;

| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الذين - those who| هم - [they]| من - from| خشية - (the) fear| ربهم - (of) their Lord| مشفقون - (are) cautious.| | ||||||
| 29. [23:58] | Waallatheena hum bi-ayatirabbihim yu/minoona | والذين هم بآيات ربهم يؤمنون وَالَّذِينَ هُم بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جو لوگ اپنے رب کی آیتوں پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Those who believe in the Signs of their Lord;

| Words | |والذين - And those| هم - [they]| بآيات - in (the) Signs| ربهم - (of) their Lord| يؤمنون - believe| | ||||||
| 30. [23:59] | Waallatheena hum birabbihim layushrikoona | والذين هم بربهم لا يشركون وَالَّذِينَ هُم بِرَبِّهِمْ لَا يُشْرِكُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جو لوگ اپنے رب کے ساتھ (کسی کو) شریک نہیں ٹھہراتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Those who join not (in worship) partners with their Lord;
| ||||||
| Words | |والذين - And those| هم - [they]| بربهم - with their Lord| لا - (do) not| يشركون - associate partners.| | ||||||
