| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [26:156] | Wala tamassooha bisoo-infaya/khuthakum AAathabu yawmin AAatheemin |  ولا تمسوها بسوء فيأخذكم عذاب يوم عظيموَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اِسے برائی (کے ارادہ) سے ہاتھ مت لگانا ورنہ بڑے (سخت) دن کا عذاب تمہیں آپکڑے گا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Touch her not with harm, lest the Penalty of a Great Day seize you."

| 2. [26:158] | Faakhathahumu alAAathabu innafee thalika laayatan wama kanaaktharuhum mu/mineena | فأخذهم العذاب إن في ذلك لآية وما كان أكثرهم مؤمنين فَأَخَذَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو انہیں عذاب نے آپکڑا، بیشک اس (واقعہ) میں بڑی نشانی ہے، اور ان میں سے اکثر لوگ مومن نہ تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But the Penalty seized them. Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe.

| 3. [26:159] | Wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu | وإن ربك لهو العزيز الرحيم وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک آپ کا رب ہی بڑا غالب رحمت والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful.

| Words | |وإن - And indeed,| ربك - your Lord,| لهو - surely He| العزيز - (is) the All-Mighty,| الرحيم - the Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 4. [26:219] | Wataqallubaka fee alssajideena | وتقلبك في الساجدين وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِي السَّاجِدِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور سجدہ گزاروں میں (بھی) آپ کا پلٹنا دیکھتا (رہتا) ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And thy movements among those who prostrate themselves,

| Words | |وتقلبك - And your movements| في - among| الساجدين - those who prostrate.| | ||||||
| 5. [26:220] | Innahu huwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu | إنه هو السميع العليم إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک وہ خوب سننے والا جاننے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | For it is He Who heareth and knoweth all things.
| ||||||
| Words | |إنه - Indeed, He| هو - [He]| السميع - (is) the All-Hearer,| العليم - the All-Knower.| | ||||||
| 6. [26:223] | Yulqoona alssamAAa waaktharuhum kathiboona | يلقون السمع وأكثرهم كاذبون يُلْقُونَ السَّمْعَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَاذِبُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جو سنی سنائی باتیں (ان کے کانوں میں) ڈال دیتے ہیں اور ان میں سے اکثر جھوٹے ہوتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (Into whose ears) they pour hearsay vanities, and most of them are liars.

| Words | |يلقون - They pass on| السمع - (what is) heard,| وأكثرهم - and most of them| كاذبون - (are) liars.| | ||||||
| 7. [26:161] | Ith qala lahum akhoohum lootunala tattaqoona | إذ قال لهم أخوهم لوط ألا تتقون إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جب ان سے ان کے (قومی) بھائی لوط (علیہ السلام) نے فرمایا: کیا تم (اللہ سے) ڈرتے نہیں ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Behold, their brother Lut said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)?

| Words | |إذ - When| قال - said| لهم - to them| أخوهم - their brother| لوط - Lut,| ألا - "Will not| تتقون - you fear (Allah)?| | ||||||
| 8. [26:164] | Wama as-alukum AAalayhi min ajrin inajriya illa AAala rabbi alAAalameena | وما أسألكم عليه من أجر إن أجري إلا على رب العالمين وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَى رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور میں تم سے اس (تبلیغِ حق) پر کوئی اجرت طلب نہیں کرتا، میرا اجر تو صرف تمام جہانوں کے رب کے ذمہ ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds.

| 9. [26:166] | Watatharoona ma khalaqa lakumrabbukum min azwajikum bal antum qawmun AAadoona | وتذرون ما خلق لكم ربكم من أزواجكم بل أنتم قوم عادون وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِكُم بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ عَادُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اپنی بیویوں کو چھوڑ دیتے ہو جو تمہارے رب نے تمہارے لئے پیدا کی ہیں، بلکہ تم (سرکشی میں) حد سے نکل جانے والے لوگ ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!"

| 10. [26:224] | WaalshshuAAaraoyattabiAAuhumu alghawoona | والشعراء يتبعهم الغاوون وَالشُّعَرَاءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ الْغَاوُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور شاعروں کی پیروی بہکے ہوئے لوگ ہی کرتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them:

| Words | |والشعراء - And the poets -| يتبعهم - follow them| الغاوون - the deviators.| | ||||||
| 11. [26:167] | Qaloo la-in lam tantahi yalootu latakoonanna mina almukhrajeena | قالوا لئن لم تنته يا لوط لتكونن من المخرجين قَالُوا لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَا لُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُخْرَجِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ بولے: اے لوط! اگر تم (ان باتوں سے) باز نہ آئے تو تم ضرور شہر بدر کئے جانے والوں میں سے ہو جاؤ گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "If thou desist not, O Lut! thou wilt assuredly be cast out!"
| ||||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| لئن - "If| لم - not| تنته - you desist,| يا - O| لوط - O Lut!| لتكونن - Surely, you will be| من - of| المخرجين - the ones driven out."| | ||||||
| 12. [26:168] | Qala innee liAAamalikum mina alqaleena | قال إني لعملكم من القالين قَالَ إِنِّي لِعَمَلِكُم مِّنَ الْقَالِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (لوط علیہ السلام نے) فرمایا: بیشک میں تمہارے عمل سے بیزار ہونے والوں میں سے ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He said: "I do detest your doings."
| ||||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| إني - "Indeed, I am| لعملكم - (of) your deed| من - of| القالين - those who detest.| | ||||||
| 13. [26:169] | Rabbi najjinee waahlee mimmayaAAmaloona | رب نجني وأهلي مما يعملون رَبِّ نَجِّنِي وَأَهْلِي مِمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اے رب! تو مجھے اور میرے گھر والوں کو اس (کام کے وبال) سے نجات عطا فرما جو یہ کر رہے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "O my Lord! deliver me and my family from such things as they do!"
| ||||||
| Words | |رب - My Lord!| نجني - Save me| وأهلي - and my family| مما - from what| يعملون - they do."| | ||||||
| 14. [26:173] | Waamtarna AAalayhim mataranfasaa mataru almunthareena | وأمطرنا عليهم مطرا فساء مطر المنذرين وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّطَرًا فَسَاءَ مَطَرُ الْمُنذَرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے ان پر (پتھروں کی) بارش برسائی سو ڈرائے ہوئے لوگوں کی بارش کتنی تباہ کن تھی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)!
| ||||||
| Words | |وأمطرنا - And We rained| عليهم - upon them| مطرا - a rain,| فساء - and evil was| مطر - (was) the rain| المنذرين - (on) those who were warned.| | ||||||
| 15. [26:174] | Inna fee thalika laayatan wamakana aktharuhum mu/mineena | إن في ذلك لآية وما كان أكثرهم مؤمنين إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک اس (واقعہ) میں بڑی نشانی ہے اور ان کے اکثر لوگ مومن نہ تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe.

| 17. [26:177] | Ith qala lahum shuAAaybun alatattaqoona | إذ قال لهم شعيب ألا تتقون إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جب ان سے شعیب (علیہ السلام) نے فرمایا: کیا تم (اللہ سے) ڈرتے نہیں ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Behold, Shu'aib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)?
| ||||||
| Words | |إذ - When,| قال - said| لهم - to them| شعيب - Shuaib,| ألا - "Will not| تتقون - you fear (Allah)?| | ||||||
| 18. [26:180] | Wama as-alukum AAalayhi min ajrin inajriya illa AAala rabbi alAAalameena | وما أسألكم عليه من أجر إن أجري إلا على رب العالمين وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَى رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور میں تم سے اس (تبلیغِ حق) پر کوئی اجرت نہیں مانگتا، میرا اجر تو صرف تمام جہانوں کے رب کے ذمہ ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds.

| 19. [26:181] | Awfoo alkayla wala takoonoo minaalmukhsireena | أوفوا الكيل ولا تكونوا من المخسرين أَوْفُوا الْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُخْسِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | تم پیمانہ پورا بھرا کرو اور (لوگوں کے حقوق کو) نقصان پہنچانے والے نہ بنو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud).
| ||||||
| Words | |أوفوا - Give full| الكيل - measure| ولا - and (do) not| تكونوا - be| من - of| المخسرين - those who cause loss.| | ||||||
| 20. [26:183] | Wala tabkhasoo alnnasaashyaahum wala taAAthaw fee al-ardimufsideena | ولا تبخسوا الناس أشياءهم ولا تعثوا في الأرض مفسدين وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا النَّاسَ أَشْيَاءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور لوگوں کو ان کی چیزیں کم (تول کے ساتھ) مت دیا کرو اور ملک میں (ایسی اخلاقی، مالی اور سماجی خیانتوں کے ذریعے) فساد انگیزی مت کرتے پھرو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "And withhold not things justly due to men, nor do evil in the land, working mischief.
| ||||||
| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تبخسوا - deprive| الناس - people| أشياءهم - (of) their things,| ولا - and (do) not| تعثوا - commit evil| في - in| الأرض - the earth,| مفسدين - spreading corruption.| | ||||||
| 21. [26:184] | Waittaqoo allathee khalaqakumwaaljibillata al-awwaleena | واتقوا الذي خلقكم والجبلة الأولين وَاتَّقُوا الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ وَالْجِبِلَّةَ الْأَوَّلِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اس (اللہ) سے ڈرو جس نے تم کو اور پہلی امتوں کو پیدا فرمایا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "And fear Him Who created you and (who created) the generations before (you)"

| Words | |واتقوا - And fear| الذي - the One Who| خلقكم - created you| والجبلة - and the generations| الأولين - the former."| | ||||||
| 22. [26:185] | Qaloo innama anta mina almusahhareena | قالوا إنما أنت من المسحرين قَالُوا إِنَّمَا أَنتَ مِنَ الْمُسَحَّرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ کہنے لگے: (اے شعیب!) تم تو محض جادو زدہ لوگوں میں سے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said: "Thou art only one of those bewitched!
| ||||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| إنما - "Only| أنت - you| من - (are) of| المسحرين - those bewitched.| | ||||||
| 23. [26:186] | Wama anta illa basharunmithluna wa-in nathunnuka lamina alkathibeena | وما أنت إلا بشر مثلنا وإن نظنك لمن الكاذبين وَمَا أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا وَإِن نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور تم فقط ہمارے جیسے بشر ہی تو ہو اور ہم تمہیں یقیناً جھوٹے لوگوں میں سے خیال کرتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Thou art no more than a mortal like us, and indeed we think thou art a liar!
| ||||||
| Words | |وما - And not| أنت - you| إلا - (are) except| بشر - a man| مثلنا - like us,| وإن - and indeed,| نظنك - we think you| لمن - surely (are) of| الكاذبين - the liars.| | ||||||
| 24. [26:187] | Faasqit AAalayna kisafan minaalssama-i in kunta mina alssadiqeena | فأسقط علينا كسفا من السماء إن كنت من الصادقين فَأَسْقِطْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفًا مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس تم ہمارے اوپر آسمان کا کوئی ٹکڑا گرا دو اگر تم سچے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Now cause a piece of the sky to fall on us, if thou art truthful!"

| Words | |فأسقط - Then cause to fall| علينا - upon us| كسفا - fragments| من - of| السماء - the sky,| إن - if| كنت - you are| من - of| الصادقين - the truthful."| | ||||||
| 25. [26:188] | Qala rabbee aAAlamu bimataAAmaloona | قال ربي أعلم بما تعملون قَالَ رَبِّي أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (شعیب علیہ السلام نے) فرمایا: میرا رب ان (کارستانیوں) کو خوب جاننے والا ہے جو تم انجام دے رہے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He said: "My Lord knows best what ye do."
| ||||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| ربي - "My Lord| أعلم - knows best| بما - of what| تعملون - you do."| | ||||||
| 26. [26:189] | Fakaththaboohu faakhathahumAAathabu yawmi alththullati innahu kanaAAathaba yawmin AAatheemin | فكذبوه فأخذهم عذاب يوم الظلة إنه كان عذاب يوم عظيم فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ الظُّلَّةِ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو انہوں نے شعیب (علیہ السلام) کو جھٹلا دیا پس انہیں سائبان کے دن کے عذاب نے آپکڑا، بیشک وہ زبردست دن کا عذاب تھا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day.

| 27. [26:190] | Inna fee thalika laayatan wamakana aktharuhum mu/mineena | إن في ذلك لآية وما كان أكثرهم مؤمنين إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک اس (واقعہ) میں بڑی نشانی ہے اور ان کے اکثر لوگ مومن نہ تھے۔ | ||||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | آپ کے قلبِ (انور) پر تاکہ آپ (نافرمانوں کو) ڈر سنانے والوں میں سے ہو جائیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish.

| 30. [26:197] | Awa lam yakun lahum ayatan anyaAAlamahu AAulamao banee isra-eela | أولم يكن لهم آية أن يعلمه علماء بني إسرائيل أَوَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُمْ آيَةً أَن يَعْلَمَهُ عُلَمَاءُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور کیا ان کے لئے (صداقتِ قرآن اور صداقتِ نبوتِ محمدی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی) یہ دلیل (کافی) نہیں ہے کہ اسے بنی اسرائیل کے علماء (بھی) جانتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Is it not a Sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)?
