| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [22:61] | Thalika bi-anna Allaha yoolijuallayla fee alnnahari wayooliju alnnaharafee allayli waanna Allaha sameeAAun baseerun |  ذلك بأن الله يولج الليل في النهار ويولج النهار في الليل وأن الله سميع بصيرذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ يُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ بَصِيرٌ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | یہ اس وجہ سے ہے کہ اﷲ رات کو دن میں داخل فرماتا ہے اور دن کو رات میں داخل فرماتا ہے اور بیشک اﷲ خوب سننے والا دیکھنے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | That is because Allah merges night into day, and He merges day into night, and verily it is Allah Who hears and sees (all things).

[22:62] | Thalika bi-anna Allaha huwa alhaqquwaanna ma yadAAoona min doonihi huwa albatiluwaanna Allaha huwa alAAaliyyu alkabeeru | ذلك بأن الله هو الحق وأن ما يدعون من دونه هو الباطل وأن الله هو العلي الكبير ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْحَقُّ وَأَنَّ مَا يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ هُوَ الْبَاطِلُ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْكَبِيرُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | یہ اس لئے کہ اﷲ ہی حق ہے اور بیشک وہ (کفار) اس کے سوا جو کچھ (بھی) پوجتے ہیں وہ باطل ہے اور یقیناً اﷲ ہی بہت بلند بہت بڑا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | That is because Allah - He is the Reality; and those besides Him whom they invoke,- they are but vain Falsehood: verily Allah is He, Most High, Most Great.

[22:63] | Alam tara anna Allaha anzala mina alssama-imaan fatusbihu al-ardu mukhdarrataninna Allaha lateefun khabeerun | ألم تر أن الله أنزل من السماء ماء فتصبح الأرض مخضرة إن الله لطيف خبير أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ أَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَتُصْبِحُ الْأَرْضُ مُخْضَرَّةً إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَطِيفٌ خَبِيرٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا آپ نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اﷲ آسمان کی جانب سے پانی اتارتا ہے تو زمین سرسبز و شاداب ہو جاتی ہے۔ بیشک اﷲ مہربان (اور) بڑا خبردار ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Seest thou not that Allah sends down rain from the sky, and forthwith the earth becomes clothed with green? for Allah is He Who understands the finest mysteries, and is well-acquainted (with them).

| 4. [22:64] | Lahu ma fee alssamawatiwama fee al-ardi wa-inna Allaha lahuwaalghaniyyu alhameedu | له ما في السماوات وما في الأرض وإن الله لهو الغني الحميد لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَهُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اسی کا ہے جو کچھ آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو کچھ زمین میں ہے، اور بیشک اﷲ ہی بے نیاز قابلِ ستائش ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth: for verily Allah,- He is free of all wants, Worthy of all Praise.

[22:65] | Alam tara anna Allaha sakhkhara lakumma fee al-ardi waalfulka tajree fee albahribi-amrihi wayumsiku alssamaa an taqaAAa AAalaal-ardi illa bi-ithnihi inna Allahabialnnasi laraoofun raheemun | ألم تر أن الله سخر لكم ما في الأرض والفلك تجري في البحر بأمره ويمسك السماء أن تقع على الأرض إلا بإذنه إن الله بالناس لرءوف رحيم أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَالْفُلْكَ تَجْرِي فِي الْبَحْرِ بِأَمْرِهِ وَيُمْسِكُ السَّمَاءَ أَن تَقَعَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا تم نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اﷲ نے جو کچھ زمین میں ہے تمہارے لئے مسخر فرما دیا ہے اور کشتیوں کو (بھی) جو اس کے اَمر (یعنی قانون) سے سمندر (و دریا) میں چلتی ہیں، اور آسمان (یعنی خلائی و فضائی کرّوں) کو زمین پر گرنے سے (ایک آفاقی نظام کے ذریعہ) تھامے ہوئے ہے مگر اسی کے حکم سے (جب وہ چاہے گا آپس میں ٹکرا جائیں گے)۔ بیشک اﷲ تمام انسانوں کے ساتھ نہایت شفقت فرمانے والا بڑا مہربان ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Seest thou not that Allah has made subject to you (men) all that is on the earth, and the ships that sail through the sea by His Command? He withholds the sky (rain) from failing on the earth except by His leave: for Allah is Most Kind and Most Merciful to man.

| 6. [22:66] | Wahuwa allathee ahyakumthumma yumeetukum thumma yuhyeekum inna al-insanalakafoorun | وهو الذي أحياكم ثم يميتكم ثم يحييكم إن الإنسان لكفور وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَحْيَاكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيكُمْ إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لَكَفُورٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور وہی ہے جس نے تمہیں زندگی بخشی پھر تمہیں موت دیتا ہے پھر تمہیں (دوبارہ) زندگی دے گا۔ بیشک انسان ہی بڑا ناشکر گزار ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | It is He Who gave you life, will cause you to die, and will again give you life: Truly man is a most ungrateful creature!

| Words | |وهو - And He| الذي - (is) the One Who| أحياكم - gave you life| ثم - then| يميتكم - He will cause you to die| ثم - then| يحييكم - He will give you life (again).| إن - Indeed,| الإنسان - man| لكفور - (is) surely ungrateful.| | ||||||

[22:67] | Likulli ommatin jaAAalna mansakan humnasikoohu fala yunaziAAunnaka fee al-amri waodAAuila rabbika innaka laAAala hudan mustaqeemin | لكل أمة جعلنا منسكا هم ناسكوه فلا ينازعنك في الأمر وادع إلى ربك إنك لعلى هدى مستقيم لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ جَعَلْنَا مَنْسَكًا هُمْ نَاسِكُوهُ فَلَا يُنَازِعُنَّكَ فِي الْأَمْرِ وَادْعُ إِلَى رَبِّكَ إِنَّكَ لَعَلَى هُدًى مُّسْتَقِيمٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ہم نے ہر ایک امت کے لئے (احکامِ شریعت یا عبادت و قربانی کی) ایک راہ مقرر کر دی ہے، انہیں اسی پر چلنا ہے، سو یہ لوگ آپ سے ہرگز (اﷲ کے) حکم میں جھگڑا نہ کریں، اور آپ اپنے رب کی طرف بلاتے رہیں۔ بیشک آپ ہی سیدھی (راہِ) ہدایت پر ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | To every People have We appointed rites and ceremonies which they must follow: let them not then dispute with thee on the matter, but do thou invite (them) to thy Lord: for thou art assuredly on the Right Way.

| 8. [22:68] | Wa-in jadalooka faquli AllahuaAAlamu bima taAAmaloona | وإن جادلوك فقل الله أعلم بما تعملون وَإِن جَادَلُوكَ فَقُلِ اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اگر وہ آپ سے جھگڑا کریں تو آپ فرما دیجئے: اﷲ بہتر جانتا ہے جو کچھ تم کر رہے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | If they do wrangle with thee, say, "Allah knows best what it is ye are doing."

| Words | |وإن - And if| جادلوك - they argue (with) you| فقل - then say,| الله - "Allah| أعلم - (is) most knowing| بما - of what| تعملون - you do.| | ||||||
| 9. [22:69] | Allahu yahkumu baynakum yawmaalqiyamati feema kuntum feehi takhtalifoona | الله يحكم بينكم يوم القيامة فيما كنتم فيه تختلفون اللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِيمَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اﷲ تمہارے درمیان قیامت کے دن ان تمام باتوں کا فیصلہ فرما دے گا جن میں تم اختلاف کرتے رہے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Allah will judge between you on the Day of Judgment concerning the matters in which ye differ."

[22:70] | Alam taAAlam anna Allaha yaAAlamu mafee alssama-i waal-ardi inna thalikafee kitabin inna thalika AAala Allahiyaseerun | ألم تعلم أن الله يعلم ما في السماء والأرض إن ذلك في كتاب إن ذلك على الله يسير أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ إِنَّ ذَلِكَ فِي كِتَابٍ إِنَّ ذَلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا تمہیں معلوم نہیں کہ اﷲ وہ سب کچھ جانتا ہے جو آسمان اور زمین میں ہے، بیشک یہ سب کتاب (لوحِ محفوظ) میں (درج) ہے، یقیناً یہ سب اﷲ پر (بہت) آسان ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Knowest thou not that Allah knows all that is in heaven and on earth? Indeed it is all in a Record, and that is easy for Allah.

[22:71] | WayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi malam yunazzil bihi sultanan wama laysa lahum bihiAAilmun wama lilththalimeenamin naseerin | ويعبدون من دون الله ما لم ينزل به سلطانا وما ليس لهم به علم وما للظالمين من نصير وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِ سُلْطَانًا وَمَا لَيْسَ لَهُم بِهِ عِلْمٌ وَمَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ مِن نَّصِيرٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہ لوگ اﷲ کے سوا ان (بتوں) کی پرستش کرتے ہیں جس کی اُس نے کوئی سند نہیں اتاری اور نہ (ہی) انہیں اس (بت پرستی کے انجام) کا کچھ علم ہے، اور (قیامت کے دن) ظالموں کا کوئی مددگار نہ ہوگا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Yet they worship, besides Allah, things for which no authority has been sent down to them, and of which they have (really) no knowledge: for those that do wrong there is no helper.

| 12. [22:74] | Ma qadaroo Allaha haqqaqadrihi inna Allaha laqawiyyun AAazeezun | ما قدروا الله حق قدره إن الله لقوي عزيز مَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَقَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ان (کافروں) نے اﷲ کی قدر نہ کی جیسی اس کی قدر کرنا چاہئے تھی۔ بیشک اﷲ بڑی قوت والا (ہر چیز پر) غالب ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | No just estimate have they made of Allah: for Allah is He Who is strong and able to Carry out His Will.

[22:72] | Wa-itha tutla AAalayhim ayatunabayyinatin taAArifu fee wujoohi allatheena kafarooalmunkara yakadoona yastoona biallatheenayatloona AAalayhim ayatina qulafaonabbi-okum bisharrin min thalikum alnnaruwaAAadaha Allahu allatheena kafaroo wabi/saalmaseeru | وإذا تتلى عليهم آياتنا بينات تعرف في وجوه الذين كفروا المنكر يكادون يسطون بالذين يتلون عليهم آياتنا قل أفأنبئكم بشر من ذلكم النار وعدها الله الذين كفروا وبئس المصير وَإِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ تَعْرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا الْمُنكَرَ يَكَادُونَ يَسْطُونَ بِالَّذِينَ يَتْلُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِنَا قُلْ أَفَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِشَرٍّ مِّن ذَلِكُمُ النَّارُ وَعَدَهَا اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جب ان (کافروں) پر ہماری روشن آیتیں تلاوت کی جاتی ہیں (تو) آپ ان کافروں کے چہروں میں ناپسندیدگی (و ناگواری کے آثار) صاف دیکھ سکتے ہیں۔ ایسے لگتا ہے کہ عنقریب ان لوگوں پر جھپٹ پڑیں گے جو انہیں ہماری آیات پڑھ کر سنا رہے ہیں، آپ فرما دیجئے: (اے مضطرب ہونے والے کافرو!) کیا میں تمہیں اس سے (بھی) زیادہ تکلیف دہ چیز سے آگاہ کروں؟ (وہ دوزخ کی) آگ ہے، جس کا اﷲ نے کافروں سے وعدہ کر رکھا ہے، اور وہ بہت ہی برا ٹھکانا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | When Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them, thou wilt notice a denial on the faces of the Unbelievers! they nearly attack with violence those who rehearse Our Signs to them. Say, "Shall I tell you of something (far) worse than these Signs? It is the Fire (of Hell)! Allah has promised it to the Unbelievers! and evil is that destination!"

| 14. [22:73] | Ya ayyuha alnnasuduriba mathalun faistamiAAoo lahu inna allatheenatadAAoona min dooni Allahi lan yakhluqoo thubabanwalawi ijtamaAAoo lahu wa-in yaslubuhumu alththubabushay-an la yastanqithoohu minhu daAAufa alttalibuwaalmatloobu | يا أيها الناس ضرب مثل فاستمعوا له إن الذين تدعون من دون الله لن يخلقوا ذبابا ولو اجتمعوا له وإن يسلبهم الذباب شيئا لا يستنقذوه منه ضعف الطالب والمطلوب يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ضُرِبَ مَثَلٌ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ لَن يَخْلُقُوا ذُبَابًا وَلَوِ اجْتَمَعُوا لَهُ وَإِن يَسْلُبْهُمُ الذُّبَابُ شَيْئًا لَّا يَسْتَنقِذُوهُ مِنْهُ ضَعُفَ الطَّالِبُ وَالْمَطْلُوبُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اے لوگو! ایک مثال بیان کی جاتی ہے سو اسے غور سے سنو: بیشک جن (بتوں) کو تم اﷲ کے سوا پوجتے ہو وہ ہرگز ایک مکھی (بھی) پیدا نہیں کرسکتے اگرچہ وہ سب اس (کام) کے لئے جمع ہو جائیں، اور اگر ان سے مکھی کوئی چیز چھین کر لے جائے (تو) وہ اس چیز کو اس (مکھی) سے چھڑا (بھی) نہیں سکتے، کتنا بے بس ہے طالب (عابد) بھی اور مطلوب (معبود) بھی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | O men! Here is a parable set forth! listen to it! Those on whom, besides Allah, ye call, cannot create (even) a fly, if they all met together for the purpose! and if the fly should snatch away anything from them, they would have no power to release it from the fly. Feeble are those who petition and those whom they petition!

| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O mankind!| الناس - O mankind!| ضرب - Is set forth| مثل - an example,| فاستمعوا - so listen| له - to it.| إن - Indeed,| الذين - those whom| تدعون - you invoke| من - besides Allah| دون - besides Allah| الله - besides Allah| لن - will never| يخلقوا - create| ذبابا - a fly| ولو - even if| اجتمعوا - they gathered together| له - for it.| وإن - And if| يسلبهم - snatched away from them| الذباب - the fly| شيئا - a thing| لا - not| يستنقذوه - they (could) take it back| منه - from it.| ضعف - So weak| الطالب - (are) the seeker| والمطلوب - and the one who is sought.| | ||||||
| 15. [22:75] | Allahu yastafee mina almala-ikatirusulan wamina alnnasi inna Allaha sameeAAunbaseerun | الله يصطفي من الملائكة رسلا ومن الناس إن الله سميع بصير اللَّهُ يَصْطَفِي مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ رُسُلًا وَمِنَ النَّاسِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ بَصِيرٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اﷲ فرشتوں میں سے (بھی) اور انسانوں میں سے (بھی اپنا) پیغام پہنچانے والوں کو منتخب فرما لیتا ہے۔ بیشک اﷲ خوب سننے والا خوب دیکھنے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Allah chooses messengers from angels and from men for Allah is He Who hears and sees (all things).

| 16. [22:76] | YaAAlamu ma bayna aydeehim wamakhalfahum wa-ila Allahi turjaAAu al-omooru | يعلم ما بين أيديهم وما خلفهم وإلى الله ترجع الأمور يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الْأُمُورُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ ان (چیزوں) کو (خوب) جانتا ہے جو ان کے آگے ہیں اور جو ان کے پیچھے ہیں، اور تمام کام اسی کی طرف لوٹائے جاتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He knows what is before them and what is behind them: and to Allah go back all questions (for decision).

[22:77] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooirkaAAoo waosjudoo waoAAbudoo rabbakum waifAAalooalkhayra laAAallakum tuflihoona | يا أيها الذين آمنوا اركعوا واسجدوا واعبدوا ربكم وافعلوا الخير لعلكم تفلحون يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ارْكَعُوا وَاسْجُدُوا وَاعْبُدُوا رَبَّكُمْ وَافْعَلُوا الْخَيْرَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اے ایمان والو! تم رکوع کرتے رہو اور سجود کرتے رہو، اور اپنے رب کی عبادت کرتے رہو اور (دیگر) نیک کام کئے جاؤ تاکہ تم فلاح پا سکو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | O ye who believe! bow down, prostrate yourselves, and adore your Lord; and do good; that ye may prosper.

[22:78] | Wajahidoo fee Allahi haqqajihadihi huwa ijtabakum wama jaAAalaAAalaykum fee alddeeni min harajin millata abeekumibraheema huwa sammakumu almuslimeena min qabluwafee hatha liyakoona alrrasoolu shaheedanAAalaykum watakoonoo shuhadaa AAala alnnasifaaqeemoo alssalata waatoo alzzakatawaiAAtasimoo biAllahi huwa mawlakumfaniAAma almawla waniAAma alnnaseeru | وجاهدوا في الله حق جهاده هو اجتباكم وما جعل عليكم في الدين من حرج ملة أبيكم إبراهيم هو سماكم المسلمين من قبل وفي هذا ليكون الرسول شهيدا عليكم وتكونوا شهداء على الناس فأقيموا الصلاة وآتوا الزكاة واعتصموا بالله هو مولاكم فنعم المولى ونعم النصير وَجَاهِدُوا فِي اللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ هُوَ اجْتَبَاكُمْ وَمَا جَعَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ مِنْ حَرَجٍ مِّلَّةَ أَبِيكُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ هُوَ سَمَّاكُمُ الْمُسْلِمينَ مِن قَبْلُ وَفِي هَذَا لِيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْكُمْ وَتَكُونُوا شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِاللَّهِ هُوَ مَوْلَاكُمْ فَنِعْمَ الْمَوْلَى وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اﷲ (کی محبت و طاعت اور اس کے دین کی اشاعت و اقامت) میں جہاد کرو جیسا کہ اس کے جہاد کا حق ہے۔ اس نے تمہیں منتخب فرما لیا ہے اور اس نے تم پر دین میں کوئی تنگی نہیں رکھی۔ (یہی) تمہارے باپ ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) کا دین ہے۔ اس (اﷲ) نے تمہارا نام مسلمان رکھا ہے، اس سے پہلے (کی کتابوں میں) بھی اور اس (قرآن) میں بھی تاکہ یہ رسولِ (آخر الزماں صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) تم پر گواہ ہو جائیں اور تم بنی نوع انسان پر گواہ ہو جاؤ، پس (اس مرتبہ پر فائز رہنے کے لئے) تم نماز قائم کیا کرو اور زکوٰۃ ادا کیا کرو اور اﷲ (کے دامن) کو مضبوطی سے تھامے رکھو، وہی تمہارا مددگار (و کارساز) ہے، پس وہ کتنا اچھا کارساز (ہے) اور کتنا اچھا مددگار ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And strive in His cause as ye ought to strive, (with sincerity and under discipline). He has chosen you, and has imposed no difficulties on you in religion; it is the cult of your father Abraham. It is He Who has named you Muslims, both before and in this (Revelation); that the Messenger may be a witness for you, and ye be witnesses for mankind! So establish regular Prayer, give regular Charity, and hold fast to Allah! He is your Protector - the Best to protect and the Best to help!
