| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [9:54] | Wama manaAAahum an tuqbala minhumnafaqatuhum illa annahum kafaroo biAllahiwabirasoolihi wala ya/toona alssalatailla wahum kusala wala yunfiqoona illawahum karihoona |  وما منعهم أن تقبل منهم نفقاتهم إلا أنهم كفروا بالله وبرسوله ولا يأتون الصلاة إلا وهم كسالى ولا ينفقون إلا وهم كارهونوَمَا مَنَعَهُمْ أَن تُقْبَلَ مِنْهُمْ نَفَقَاتُهُمْ إِلاَّ أَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُواْ بِاللّهِ وَبِرَسُولِهِ وَلاَ يَأْتُونَ الصَّلاَةَ إِلاَّ وَهُمْ كُسَالَى وَلاَ يُنفِقُونَ إِلاَّ وَهُمْ كَارِهُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ان سے ان کے نفقات (یعنی صدقات) کے قبول کئے جانے میں کوئی (اور) چیز انہیں مانع نہیں ہوئی سوائے اس کے کہ وہ اللہ اور اس کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے منکر ہیں اور وہ نماز کی ادائیگی کے لئے نہیں آتے مگر کاہلی و بے رغبتی کے ساتھ اور وہ (اللہ کی راہ میں) خرچ (بھی) نہیں کرتے مگر اس حال میں کہ وہ ناخوش ہوتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The only reasons why their contributions are not accepted are: that they reject Allah and His Messenger; that they come to prayer without earnestness; and that they offer contributions unwillingly.

[17:88] | Qul la-ini ijtamaAAati al-insu waaljinnuAAala an ya/too bimithli hatha alqur-ani laya/toona bimithlihi walaw kana baAAduhum libaAAdinthaheeran | قل لئن اجتمعت الإنس والجن على أن يأتوا بمثل هذا القرآن لا يأتون بمثله ولو كان بعضهم لبعض ظهيرا قُل لَّئِنِ اجْتَمَعَتِ الْإِنسُ وَالْجِنُّ عَلَى أَن يَأْتُواْ بِمِثْلِ هَـذَا الْقُرْآنِ لاَ يَأْتُونَ بِمِثْلِهِ وَلَوْ كَانَ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ ظَهِيرًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | فرما دیجئے: اگر تمام انسان اور جنّات اس بات پر جمع ہو جائیں کہ وہ اس قرآن کے مثل (کوئی دوسرا کلام بنا) لائیں گے تو (بھی) وہ اس کی مثل نہیں لاسکتے اگرچہ وہ ایک دوسرے کے مددگار بن جائیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say: "If the whole of mankind and Jinns were to gather together to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they backed up each other with help and support.

[18:15] | Haola-i qawmuna ittakhathoomin doonihi alihatan lawla ya/toona AAalayhim bisultaninbayyinin faman athlamu mimmani iftara AAalaAllahi kathiban | هؤلاء قومنا اتخذوا من دونه آلهة لولا يأتون عليهم بسلطان بين فمن أظلم ممن افترى على الله كذبا هَؤُلاَءِ قَوْمُنَا اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِهِ آلِهَةً لَّوْلاَ يَأْتُونَ عَلَيْهِم بِسُلْطَانٍ بَيِّنٍ فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | یہ ہماری قوم کے لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے اس کے سوا کئی معبود بنا لئے ہیں، تو یہ ان (کے معبود ہونے) پر کوئی واضح سند کیوں نہیں لاتے؟ سو اُس سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون ہوگا جو اللہ پر جھوٹا بہتان باندھتا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "These our people have taken for worship gods other than Him: why do they not bring forward an authority clear (and convincing) for what they do? Who doth more wrong than such as invent a falsehood against Allah?

[33:18] | Qad yaAAlamu Allahu almuAAawwiqeenaminkum waalqa-ileena li-ikhwanihim halummailayna wala ya/toona alba/sa illa qaleelan | قد يعلم الله المعوقين منكم والقائلين لإخوانهم هلم إلينا ولا يأتون البأس إلا قليلا قَدْ يَعْلَمُ اللَّهُ الْمُعَوِّقِينَ مِنكُمْ وَالْقَائِلِينَ لِإِخْوَانِهِمْ هَلُمَّ إِلَيْنَا وَلَا يَأْتُونَ الْبَأْسَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک اﷲ تم میں سے ان لوگوں کو جانتا ہے جو (رسول سے اور ان کی معیّت میں جہاد سے) روکتے ہیں اور جو اپنے بھائیوں سے کہتے ہیں کہ ہماری طرف آجاؤ، اور یہ لوگ لڑائی میں نہیں آتے مگر بہت ہی کم | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Verily Allah knows those among you who keep back (men) and those who say to their brethren, "Come along to us", but come not to the fight except for just a little while.
