[3:137] | Qad khalat min qablikum sunanun faseeroofee al-ardi faonthuroo kayfa kanaAAaqibatu almukaththibeena |  قد خلت من قبلكم سنن فسيروا في الأرض فانظروا كيف كان عاقبة المكذبينقَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ سُنَنٌ فَسِيرُواْ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَانْظُرُواْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ | |||||

| Yousuf Ali | Many were the Ways of Life that have passed away before you: travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who rejected Truth.

[16:36] | Walaqad baAAathna fee kulli ommatinrasoolan ani oAAbudoo Allaha waijtaniboo alttaghootafaminhum man hada Allahu waminhum man haqqatAAalayhi alddalalatu faseeroo fee al-ardifaonthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatualmukaththibeena | ولقد بعثنا في كل أمة رسولا أن اعبدوا الله واجتنبوا الطاغوت فمنهم من هدى الله ومنهم من حقت عليه الضلالة فسيروا في الأرض فانظروا كيف كان عاقبة المكذبين وَلَقَدْ بَعَثْنَا فِي كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَّسُولاً أَنِ اعْبُدُواْ اللّهَ وَاجْتَنِبُواْ الطَّاغُوتَ فَمِنْهُم مَّنْ هَدَى اللّهُ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ حَقَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الضَّلاَلَةُ فَسِيرُواْ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَانظُرُواْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک ہم نے ہر امت میں ایک رسول بھیجا کہ (لوگو) تم اللہ کی عبادت کرو اور طاغوت (یعنی شیطان اور بتوں کی اطاعت و پرستش) سے اجتناب کرو، سو اُن میں بعض وہ ہوئے جنہیں اللہ نے ہدایت فرما دی اور اُن میں بعض وہ ہوئے جن پر گمراہی (ٹھیک) ثابت ہوئی، سو تم لوگ زمین میں سیر و سیاحت کرو اور دیکھو کہ جھٹلانے والوں کا کیا انجام ہوا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | For We assuredly sent amongst every People a messenger, (with the Command), "Serve Allah, and eschew Evil": of the People were some whom Allah guided, and some on whom error became inevitably (established). So travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who denied (the Truth).

| Tahir ul Qadri | فرما دیجئے: تم زمین میں سیر و سیاحت کرو پھر دیکھو مجرموں کا انجام کیسا ہوا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say: "Go ye through the earth and see what has been the end of those guilty (of sin)."

[29:20] | Qul seeroo fee al-ardi faonthurookayfa badaa alkhalqa thumma Allahu yunshi-o alnnash-ataal-akhirata inna Allaha AAala kulli shay-inqadeerun | قل سيروا في الأرض فانظروا كيف بدأ الخلق ثم الله ينشئ النشأة الآخرة إن الله على كل شيء قدير قُلْ سِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَانظُرُوا كَيْفَ بَدَأَ الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ اللَّهُ يُنشِئُ النَّشْأَةَ الْآخِرَةَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | فرما دیجئے: تم زمین میں (کائناتی زندگی کے مطالعہ کے لئے) چلو پھرو، پھر دیکھو (یعنی غور و تحقیق کرو) کہ اس نے مخلوق کی (زندگی کی) ابتداء کیسے فرمائی پھر وہ دوسری زندگی کو کس طرح اٹھا کر (ارتقاء کے مراحل سے گزارتا ہوا) نشو و نما دیتا ہے۔ بیشک اللہ ہر شے پر بڑی قدرت رکھنے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say: "Travel through the earth and see how Allah did originate creation; so will Allah produce a later creation: for Allah has power over all things.

| Tahir ul Qadri | آپ فرما دیجئے کہ تم زمین میں سیر و سیاحت کیا کرو پھر دیکھو پہلے لوگوں کا کیسا (عبرت ناک) انجام ہوا، ان میں زیادہ تر مشرک تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say: "Travel through the earth and see what was the end of those before (you): Most of them worshipped others besides Allah."
