| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [4:43] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola taqraboo alssalata waantum sukarahatta taAAlamoo ma taqooloona walajunuban illa AAabiree sabeelin hattataghtasiloo wa-in kuntum marda aw AAala safarin awjaa ahadun minkum mina algha-iti aw lamastumualnnisaa falam tajidoo maan fatayammamoo saAAeedantayyiban faimsahoo biwujoohikum waaydeekuminna Allaha kana AAafuwwan ghafooran |  يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تقربوا الصلاة وأنتم سكارى حتى تعلموا ما تقولون ولا جنبا إلا عابري سبيل حتى تغتسلوا وإن كنتم مرضى أو على سفر أو جاء أحد منكم من الغائط أو لامستم النساء فلم تجدوا ماء فتيمموا صعيدا طيبا فامسحوا بوجوهكم وأيديكم إن الله كان عفوا غفورايَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تَقْرَبُواْ الصَّلاَةَ وَأَنتُمْ سُكَارَى حَتَّى تَعْلَمُواْ مَا تَقُولُونَ وَلاَ جُنُبًا إِلاَّ عَابِرِي سَبِيلٍ حَتَّى تَغْتَسِلُواْ وَإِن كُنتُم مَّرْضَى أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ أَوْ جَاءَ أَحَدٌ مِّنكُم مِّنَ الْغَآئِطِ أَوْ لاَمَسْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُواْ مَاءً فَتَيَمَّمُواْ صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا فَامْسَحُواْ بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ كَانَ عَفُوًّا غَفُورًا | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اے ایمان والو! تم نشہ کی حالت میں نماز کے قریب مت جاؤ یہاں تک کہ تم وہ بات سمجھنے لگو جو کہتے ہو اور نہ حالتِ جنابت میں (نماز کے قریب جاؤ) تا آنکہ تم غسل کر لو سوائے اس کے کہ تم سفر میں راستہ طے کر رہے ہو، اور اگر تم بیمار ہو یا سفر میں ہو یا تم میں سے کوئی قضائے حاجت سے لوٹے یا تم نے (اپنی) عورتوں سے مباشرت کی ہو پھر تم پانی نہ پاسکو تو تم پاک مٹی سے تیمم کر لو پس اپنے چہروں اور اپنے ہاتھوں پر مسح کر لیا کرو، بیشک اللہ معاف فرمانے والا بہت بخشنے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | O ye who believe! Approach not prayers with a mind befogged, until ye can understand all that ye say,- nor in a state of ceremonial impurity (Except when travelling on the road), until after washing your whole body. If ye are ill, or on a journey, or one of you cometh from offices of nature, or ye have been in contact with women, and ye find no water, then take for yourselves clean sand or earth, and rub therewith your faces and hands. For Allah doth blot out sins and forgive again and again.

| 2. [4:99] | Faola-ika AAasa Allahuan yaAAfuwa AAanhum wakana Allahu AAafuwwan ghafooran | فأولئك عسى الله أن يعفو عنهم وكان الله عفوا غفورا فَأُوْلَـئِكَ عَسَى اللّهُ أَن يَعْفُوَ عَنْهُمْ وَكَانَ اللّهُ عَفُوًّا غَفُورًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو یہ وہ لوگ ہیں کہ یقیناً اللہ ان سے درگزر فرمائے گا، اور اللہ بڑا معاف فرمانے والا بخشنے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | For these, there is hope that Allah will forgive: For Allah doth blot out (sins) and forgive again and again.

| 3. [4:149] | In tubdoo khayran aw tukhfoohu aw taAAfooAAan soo-in fa-inna Allaha kana AAafuwwan qadeeran | إن تبدوا خيرا أو تخفوه أو تعفوا عن سوء فإن الله كان عفوا قديرا إِن تُبْدُواْ خَيْرًا أَوْ تُخْفُوهُ أَوْ تَعْفُواْ عَن سُوءٍ فَإِنَّ اللّهَ كَانَ عَفُوًّا قَدِيرًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اگر تم کسی کارِ خیر کو ظاہر کرو یا اسے مخفی رکھو یا کسی (کی) برائی سے در گزر کرو تو بیشک اﷲ بڑا معاف فرمانے والا بڑی قدرت والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Whether ye publish a good deed or conceal it or cover evil with pardon, verily Allah doth blot out (sins) and hath power (in the judgment of values).

[7:95] | Thumma baddalna makana alssayyi-atialhasanata hatta AAafaw waqaloo qadmassa abaana alddarraowaalssarrao faakhathnahum baghtatanwahum la yashAAuroona | ثم بدلنا مكان السيئة الحسنة حتى عفوا وقالوا قد مس آباءنا الضراء والسراء فأخذناهم بغتة وهم لا يشعرون ثُمَّ بَدَّلْنَا مَكَانَ السَّيِّئَةِ الْحَسَنَةَ حَتَّى عَفَواْ وَّقَالُواْ قَدْ مَسَّ آبَاءَنَا الضَّرَّاءُ وَالسَّرَّاءُ فَأَخَذْنَاهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لاَ يَشْعُرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ہم نے (ان کی) بدحالی کی جگہ خوش حالی بدل دی، یہاں تک کہ وہ (ہر لحاظ سے) بہت بڑھ گئے۔ اور (نا شکری سے) کہنے لگے کہ ہمارے باپ دادا کو بھی (اسی طرح) رنج اور راحت پہنچتی رہی ہے سو ہم نے انہیں اس کفرانِ نعمت پر اچانک پکڑ لیا اور انہیں (اس کی) خبر بھی نہ تھی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then We changed their suffering into prosperity, until they grew and multiplied, and began to say: "Our fathers (too) were touched by suffering and affluence" ... Behold! We called them to account of a sudden, while they realised not (their peril).
