| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [8:22] | Inna sharra alddawabbi AAindaAllahi alssummu albukmu allatheena layaAAqiloona |  إن شر الدواب عند الله الصم البكم الذين لا يعقلونإِنَّ شَرَّ الدَّوَابَّ عِندَ اللّهِ الصُّمُّ الْبُكْمُ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک اللہ کے نزدیک جانداروں میں سب سے بدتر وہی بہرے، گونگے ہیں جو (نہ حق سنتے ہیں، نہ حق کہتے ہیں اور حق کو حق) سمجھتے بھی نہیں ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | For the worst of beasts in the sight of Allah are the deaf and the dumb,- those who understand not.

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ان میں سے بعض وہ ہیں جو (ظاہراً) آپ کی طرف کان لگاتے ہیں، تو کیا آپ بہروں کو سنا دیں گے خواہ وہ کچھ عقل بھی نہ رکھتے ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Among them are some who (pretend to) listen to thee: But canst thou make the deaf to hear,- even though they are without understanding?

| 3. [21:45] | Qul innama onthirukum bialwahyiwala yasmaAAu alssummu aldduAAaaitha ma yuntharoona | قل إنما أنذركم بالوحي ولا يسمع الصم الدعاء إذا ما ينذرون قُلْ إِنَّمَا أُنذِرُكُم بِالْوَحْيِ وَلَا يَسْمَعُ الصُّمُّ الدُّعَاءَ إِذَا مَا يُنذَرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | فرما دیجئے: میں تو تمہیں صرف وحی کے ذریعہ ہی ڈراتا ہوں، اور بہرے پکار کو نہیں سنا کرتے جب بھی انہیں ڈرایا جائے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say, "I do but warn you according to revelation": But the deaf will not hear the call, (even) when they are warned!

| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک آپ نہ (تو حیاتِ ایمانی سے محروم) مُردوں کو (حق کی بات) سنا سکتے ہیں اور نہ ہی (ایسے) بہروں کو (ہدایت کی) پکار سنا سکتے ہیں جبکہ وہ (غلبۂ کفر کے باعث ہدایت سے) پیٹھ پھیر کر (قبولِ حق سے) رُوگرداں ہو رہے ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Truly thou canst not cause the dead to listen, nor canst thou cause the deaf to hear the call, (especially) when they turn back in retreat.

| Tahir ul Qadri | (اے حبیب!) بیشک آپ نہ تو (اِن کافر) مُردوں کو اپنی پکار سناتے ہیں اور نہ (بدبخت) بہروں کو، جبکہ وہ (آپ ہی سے) پیٹھ پھیرے جا رہے ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So verily thou canst not make the dead to hear, nor canst thou make the deaf to hear the call, when they show their backs and turn away.

| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر کیا آپ بہروں کو سنائیں گے یا اندھوں کو اور اُن لوگوں کو جو کھلی گمراہی میں ہیں راہِ ہدایت دکھائیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Canst thou then make the deaf to hear, or give direction to the blind or to such as (wander) in manifest error?
