| 1. [3:10] | Inna allatheena kafaroo lan tughniyaAAanhum amwaluhum wala awladuhum mina Allahishay-an waola-ika hum waqoodu alnnari |  إن الذين كفروا لن تغني عنهم أموالهم ولا أولادهم من الله شيئا وأولئك هم وقود النارإِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَن تُغْنِيَ عَنْهُمْ أَمْوَالُهُمْ وَلاَ أَوْلاَدُهُم مِّنَ اللّهِ شَيْئًا وَأُولَـئِكَ هُمْ وَقُودُ النَّارِ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک جنہوں نے کفر کیا نہ ان کے مال انہیں اﷲ (کے عذاب) سے کچھ بھی بچا سکیں گے اور نہ ان کی اولاد، اور وہی لوگ دوزخ کا ایندھن ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Those who reject Faith,- neither their possessions nor their (numerous) progeny will avail them aught against Allah: They are themselves but fuel for the Fire.

| Tahir ul Qadri | یقینا جن لوگوں نے کفر کیا ہے نہ ان کے مال انہیں اللہ (کے عذاب) سے کچھ بھی بچا سکیں گے اور نہ ان کی اولاد، اور وہی لوگ جہنمی ہیں، جو اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Those who reject Faith,- neither their possessions nor their (numerous) progeny will avail them aught against Allah: They will be companions of the Fire,-dwelling therein (for ever).

[6:137] | Wakathalika zayyana likatheerin minaalmushrikeena qatla awladihim shurakaohumliyurdoohum waliyalbisoo AAalayhim deenahum walaw shaa Allahuma faAAaloohu fatharhum wama yaftaroona | وكذلك زين لكثير من المشركين قتل أولادهم شركاؤهم ليردوهم وليلبسوا عليهم دينهم ولو شاء الله ما فعلوه فذرهم وما يفترون وَكَذَلِكَ زَيَّنَ لِكَثِيرٍ مِّنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ قَتْلَ أَوْلاَدِهِمْ شُرَكَآؤُهُمْ لِيُرْدُوهُمْ وَلِيَلْبِسُواْ عَلَيْهِمْ دِينَهُمْ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللّهُ مَا فَعَلُوهُ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اسی طرح بہت سے مشرکوں کے لئے ان کے شریکوں نے اپنی اولاد کو مار ڈالنا (ان کی نگاہ میں) خوش نما کر دکھایا ہے تاکہ وہ انہیں برباد کر ڈالیں اور ان کے (بچے کھچے) دین کو (بھی) ان پر مشتبہ کر دیں، اور اگر اﷲ (انہیں جبراً روکنا) چاہتا تو وہ ایسا نہ کر پاتے پس آپ انہیں اور جو افترا پردازی وہ کر رہے ہیں (اسے نظرانداز کرتے ہوئے) چھوڑ دیجئے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Even so, in the eyes of most of the pagans, their "partners" made alluring the slaughter of their children, in order to lead them to their own destruction, and cause confusion in their religion. If Allah had willed, they would not have done so: But leave alone them and their inventions.

[6:140] | Qad khasira allatheena qataloo awladahumsafahan bighayri AAilmin waharramoo ma razaqahumuAllahu iftiraan AAala Allahi qad dalloowama kanoo muhtadeena | قد خسر الذين قتلوا أولادهم سفها بغير علم وحرموا ما رزقهم الله افتراء على الله قد ضلوا وما كانوا مهتدين قَدْ خَسِرَ الَّذِينَ قَتَلُواْ أَوْلاَدَهُمْ سَفَهًا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَحَرَّمُواْ مَا رَزَقَهُمُ اللّهُ افْتِرَاءً عَلَى اللّهِ قَدْ ضَلُّواْ وَمَا كَانُواْ مُهْتَدِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | واقعی ایسے لوگ برباد ہوگئے جنہوں نے اپنی اولاد کو بغیر علمِ (صحیح) کے (محض) بیوقوفی سے قتل کر ڈالا اور ان (چیزوں) کو جو اﷲ نے انہیں (روزی کے طور پر) بخشی تھیں اﷲ پر بہتان باندھتے ہوئے حرام کر ڈالا، بیشک وہ گمراہ ہو گئے اور ہدایت یافتہ نہ ہو سکے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Lost are those who slay their children, from folly, without knowledge, and forbid food which Allah hath provided for them, inventing (lies) against Allah. They have indeed gone astray and heeded no guidance.

[9:55] | Fala tuAAjibka amwaluhum walaawladuhum innama yureedu Allahu liyuAAaththibahumbiha fee alhayati alddunyawatazhaqa anfusuhum wahum kafiroona | فلا تعجبك أموالهم ولا أولادهم إنما يريد الله ليعذبهم بها في الحياة الدنيا وتزهق أنفسهم وهم كافرون فَلاَ تُعْجِبْكَ أَمْوَالُهُمْ وَلاَ أَوْلاَدُهُمْ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُم بِهَا فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَتَزْهَقَ أَنفُسُهُمْ وَهُمْ كَافِرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو آپ کو نہ (تو) ان کے اموال تعجب میں ڈالیں اور نہ ہی ان کی اولاد۔ بس اللہ تو یہ چاہتا ہے کہ انہیں انہی (چیزوں) کی وجہ سے دنیوی زندگی میں عذاب دے اور ان کی جانیں اس حال میں نکلیں کہ وہ کافر ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Let not their wealth nor their (following in) sons dazzle thee: in reality Allah's plan is to punish them with these things in this life, and that their souls may perish in their (very) denial of Allah.

[58:17] | Lan tughniya AAanhum amwaluhum walaawladuhum mina Allahi shay-an ola-ika as-habualnnari hum feeha khalidoona | لن تغني عنهم أموالهم ولا أولادهم من الله شيئا أولئك أصحاب النار هم فيها خالدون لَن تُغْنِيَ عَنْهُمْ أَمْوَالُهُمْ وَلَا أَوْلَادُهُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا أُوْلَئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اللہ (کے عذاب) سے ہرگز نہ ہی اُن کے مال انہیں بچا سکیں گے اور نہ اُن کی اولاد ہی (انہیں بچا سکے گی)، یہی لوگ اہلِ دوزخ ہیں، وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Of no profit whatever to them, against Allah, will be their riches nor their sons: they will be Companions of the Fire, to dwell therein (for aye)!
