| 1. [37:9] | Duhooran walahum AAathabun wasibun |  دحورا ولهم عذاب واصبدُحُورًا وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ وَاصِبٌ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | پس آپ اِن (کفّارِ مکّہ) سے پوچھئے کیا آپ کے رب کے لئے بیٹیاں ہیں اور ان کے لئے بیٹے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?-

| 3. [40:52] | Yawma la yanfaAAu alththalimeenamaAAthiratuhum walahumu allaAAnatu walahum soo-o alddari | يوم لا ينفع الظالمين معذرتهم ولهم اللعنة ولهم سوء الدار يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ الظَّالِمِينَ مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ وَلَهُمُ اللَّعْنَةُ وَلَهُمْ سُوءُ الدَّارِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جس دن ظالموں کو اُن کی معذرت فائدہ نہیں دے گی اور اُن کے لئے پھٹکار ہوگی اور اُن کے لئے (جہنّم کا) بُرا گھر ہوگا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The Day when no profit will it be to Wrong-doers to present their excuses, but they will (only) have the Curse and the Home of Misery.

[42:16] | Waallatheena yuhajjoonafee Allahi min baAAdi ma istujeeba lahu hujjatuhumdahidatun AAinda rabbihim waAAalayhim ghadabunwalahum AAathabun shadeedun | والذين يحاجون في الله من بعد ما استجيب له حجتهم داحضة عند ربهم وعليهم غضب ولهم عذاب شديد وَالَّذِينَ يُحَاجُّونَ فِي اللَّهِ مِن بَعْدِ مَا اسْتُجِيبَ لَهُ حُجَّتُهُمْ دَاحِضَةٌ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَعَلَيْهِمْ غَضَبٌ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جو لوگ اللہ (کے دین کے بارے) میں جھگڑتے ہیں بعد اِس کے کہ اسے قبول کر لیا گیا اُن کی بحث و تکرار اُن کے رب کے نزدیک باطل ہے اور اُن پر (اللہ کا) غضب ہے اور اُن کے لئے سخت عذاب ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But those who dispute concerning Allah after He has been accepted,- futile is their dispute in the Sight of their Lord: on them will be a Penalty terrible.

[45:10] | Min wara-ihim jahannamu walayughnee AAanhum ma kasaboo shay-an wala maittakhathoo min dooni Allahi awliyaa walahumAAathabun AAatheemun | من ورائهم جهنم ولا يغني عنهم ما كسبوا شيئا ولا ما اتخذوا من دون الله أولياء ولهم عذاب عظيم مِن وَرَائِهِمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَلَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُم مَّا كَسَبُوا شَيْئًا وَلَا مَا اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اُن کے (اس عرصۂ حیات کے) بعد دوزخ ہے اور جو (مالِ دنیا) انہوں نے کما رکھا ہے اُن کے کچھ کام نہیں آئے گا اور نہ وہ بت (ہی کام آئیں گے) جنہیں اللہ کے سوا انہوں نے کارساز بنا رکھا ہے، اور اُن کے لئے بہت سخت عذاب ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | In front of them is Hell: and of no profit to them is anything they may have earned, nor any protectors they may have taken to themselves besides Allah: for them is a tremendous Penalty.

[47:15] | Mathalu aljannati allatee wuAAidaalmuttaqoona feeha anharun min ma-in ghayri asininwaanharun min labanin lam yataghayyar taAAmuhuwaanharun min khamrin laththatin lilshsharibeenawaanharun min AAasalin musaffan walahum feehamin kulli alththamarati wamaghfiratun min rabbihimkaman huwa khalidun fee alnnari wasuqoo maanhameeman faqattaAAa amAAaahum | مثل الجنة التي وعد المتقون فيها أنهار من ماء غير آسن وأنهار من لبن لم يتغير طعمه وأنهار من خمر لذة للشاربين وأنهار من عسل مصفى ولهم فيها من كل الثمرات ومغفرة من ربهم كمن هو خالد في النار وسقوا ماء حميما فقطع أمعاءهم مَثَلُ الْجَنَّةِ الَّتِي وُعِدَ الْمُتَّقُونَ فِيهَا أَنْهَارٌ مِّن مَّاءٍ غَيْرِ آسِنٍ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِن لَّبَنٍ لَّمْ يَتَغَيَّرْ طَعْمُهُ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِّنْ خَمْرٍ لَّذَّةٍ لِّلشَّارِبِينَ وَأَنْهَارٌ مِّنْ عَسَلٍ مُّصَفًّى وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ الثَّمَرَاتِ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ كَمَنْ هُوَ خَالِدٌ فِي النَّارِ وَسُقُوا مَاءً حَمِيمًا فَقَطَّعَ أَمْعَاءَهُمْ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جس جنّت کا پرہیزگاروں سے وعدہ کیا گیا ہے اس کی صفت یہ ہے کہ اس میں (ایسے) پانی کی نہریں ہوں گی جس میں کبھی (بو یا رنگت کا) تغیّر نہ آئے گا، اور (اس میں ایسے) دودھ کی نہریں ہوں گی جس کا ذائقہ اور مزہ کبھی نہ بدلے گا، اور (ایسے) شرابِ (طہور) کی نہریں ہوں گی جو پینے والوں کے لئے سراسر لذّت ہے، اور خوب صاف کئے ہوئے شہد کی نہریں ہوں گی، اور ان کے لئے اس میں ہر قسم کے پھل ہوں گے اور ان کے رب کی جانب سے (ہر طرح کی) بخشائش ہوگی، (کیا یہ پرہیزگار) ان لوگوں کی طرح ہو سکتا ہے جو ہمیشہ دوزخ میں رہنے والے ہیں اور جنہیں کھولتا ہوا پانی پلایا جائے گا تو وہ ان کی آنتوں کو کاٹ کر ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کر دے گا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (Here is) a Parable of the Garden which the righteous are promised: in it are rivers of water incorruptible; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes; rivers of wine, a joy to those who drink; and rivers of honey pure and clear. In it there are for them all kinds of fruits; and Grace from their Lord. (Can those in such Bliss) be compared to such as shall dwell for ever in the Fire, and be given, to drink, boiling water, so that it cuts up their bowels (to pieces)?

[57:18] | Inna almussaddiqeena waalmussaddiqatiwaaqradoo Allaha qardan hasanan yudaAAafulahum walahum ajrun kareemun | إن المصدقين والمصدقات وأقرضوا الله قرضا حسنا يضاعف لهم ولهم أجر كريم إِنَّ الْمُصَّدِّقِينَ وَالْمُصَّدِّقَاتِ وَأَقْرَضُوا اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا يُضَاعَفُ لَهُمْ وَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ كَرِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک صدقہ و خیرات دینے والے مرد اور صدقہ و خیرات دینے والی عورتیں اور جنہوں نے اللہ کو قرضِ حسنہ کے طور پر قرض دیا ان کے لئے (صدقہ و قرضہ کا اجر) کئی گنا بڑھا دیا جائے گا اور اُن کے لئے بڑی عزت والا ثواب ہوگا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | For those who give in Charity, men and women, and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan, it shall be increased manifold (to their credit), and they shall have (besides) a liberal reward.

[59:3] | Walawla an kataba AllahuAAalayhimu aljalaa laAAaththabahum fee alddunyawalahum fee al-akhirati AAathabu alnnari | ولولا أن كتب الله عليهم الجلاء لعذبهم في الدنيا ولهم في الآخرة عذاب النار وَلَوْلَا أَن كَتَبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْجَلَاءَ لَعَذَّبَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ عَذَابُ النَّارِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اگر اللہ نے اُن کے حق میں جلا وطنی لکھ نہ دی ہوتی تو وہ انہیں دنیا میں (اور سخت) عذاب دیتا، اور ان کے لئے آخرت میں (بھی) دوزخ کا عذاب ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And had it not been that Allah had decreed banishment for them, He would certainly have punished them in this world: And in the Hereafter they shall (certainly) have the Punishment of the Fire.

| 9. [59:15] | Kamathali allatheena min qablihimqareeban thaqoo wabala amrihim walahum AAathabunaleemun | كمثل الذين من قبلهم قريبا ذاقوا وبال أمرهم ولهم عذاب أليم كَمَثَلِ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ قَرِيبًا ذَاقُوا وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (اُن کا حال) اُن لوگوں جیسا ہے جو اُن سے پہلے زمانۂ قریب میں ہی اپنی شامتِ اعمال کا مزہ چکھ چکے ہیں (یعنی بدر میں مشرکینِ مکہ، اور یہود میں سے بنو نضیر، بنو قینقاع و بنو قریظہ وغیرہ)، اور ان کے لئے (آخرت میں بھی) دردناک عذاب ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Like those who lately preceded them, they have tasted the evil result of their conduct; and (in the Hereafter there is) for them a grievous Penalty;-

| 10. [64:5] | Alam ya/tikum nabao allatheena kafaroomin qablu fathaqoo wabala amrihim walahum AAathabunaleemun | ألم يأتكم نبأ الذين كفروا من قبل فذاقوا وبال أمرهم ولهم عذاب أليم أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَبَؤُاْ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن قَبْلُ فَذَاقُوا وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا تمہیں اُن لوگوں کی خبر نہیں پہنچی جنہوں نے (تم سے) پہلے کفر کیا تھا تو انہوں نے (دنیا میں) اپنے کام کی سزا چکھ لی اور ان کے لئے (آخرت میں بھی) دردناک عذاب ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Has not the story reached you, of those who rejected Faith aforetime? So they tasted the evil result of their conduct; and they had a grievous Penalty.

[85:10] | Inna allatheena fatanoo almu/mineenawaalmu/minati thumma lam yatooboo falahum AAathabujahannama walahum AAathabu alhareeqi | إن الذين فتنوا المؤمنين والمؤمنات ثم لم يتوبوا فلهم عذاب جهنم ولهم عذاب الحريق إِنَّ الَّذِينَ فَتَنُوا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُوا فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ الْحَرِيقِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک جن لوگوں نے مومن مردوں اور مومن عورتوں کو اذیت دی پھر توبہ (بھی) نہ کی تو ان کے لئے عذابِ جہنم ہے اور ان کے لئے (بالخصوص) آگ میں جلنے کا عذاب ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire.
