| 1. [59:15] | Kamathali allatheena min qablihimqareeban thaqoo wabala amrihim walahum AAathabunaleemun |  كمثل الذين من قبلهم قريبا ذاقوا وبال أمرهم ولهم عذاب أليمكَمَثَلِ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ قَرِيبًا ذَاقُوا وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ | |||||

But in a wider perspective - strongly suggested by the next two verses - the meaning is general and not restricteed to any particular time or historical occurrence. | ||||||
