| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [10:11] | Walaw yuAAajjilu Allahu lilnnasialshsharra istiAAjalahum bialkhayri laqudiyailayhim ajaluhum fanatharu allatheena layarjoona liqaana fee tughyanihimyaAAmahoona |  ولو يعجل الله للناس الشر استعجالهم بالخير لقضي إليهم أجلهم فنذر الذين لا يرجون لقاءنا في طغيانهم يعمهونوَلَوْ يُعَجِّلُ اللّهُ لِلنَّاسِ الشَّرَّ اسْتِعْجَالَهُم بِالْخَيْرِ لَقُضِيَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَجَلُهُمْ فَنَذَرُ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَرْجُونَ لِقَاءَنَا فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اگر اللہ (ان کافر) لوگوں کو برائی (یعنی عذاب) پہنچانے میں جلدبازی کرتا، جیسے وہ طلبِ نعمت میں جلدبازی کرتے ہیں تو یقیناً ان کی میعادِ (عمر) ان کے حق میں (جلد) پوری کردی گئی ہوتی (تاکہ وہ مَر کے جلد دوزخ میں پہنچیں)، بلکہ ہم ایسے لوگوں کو جو ہم سے ملاقات کی توقع نہیں رکھتے ان کی سرکشی میں چھوڑے رکھتے ہیں کہ وہ بھٹکتے رہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | If Allah were to hasten for men the ill (they have earned) as they would fain hasten on the good,- then would their respite be settled at once. But We leave those who rest not their hope on their meeting with Us, in their trespasses, wandering in distraction to and fro.

| 2. [17:83] | Wa-itha anAAamna AAalaal-insani aAArada wanaa bijanibihiwa-itha massahu alshsharru kana yaoosan | وإذا أنعمنا على الإنسان أعرض ونأى بجانبه وإذا مسه الشر كان يئوسا وَإِذَآ أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَى الْإِنسَانِ أَعْرَضَ وَنَئَا بِجَانِبِهِ وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ كَانَ يَؤُوسًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جب ہم انسان پر (کوئی) انعام فرماتے ہیں تو وہ (شکر سے) گریز کرتا اور پہلو تہی کر جاتا ہے اور جب اسے کوئی تکلیف پہنچ جاتی ہے تو مایوس ہو جاتا ہے (گویا نہ شاکر ہے نہ صابر) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Yet when We bestow Our favours on man, he turns away and becomes remote on his side (instead of coming to Us), and when evil seizes him he gives himself up to despair!

| 3. [41:49] | La yas-amu al-insanu min duAAa-ialkhayri wa-in massahu alshsharru fayaoosun qanootun | لا يسأم الإنسان من دعاء الخير وإن مسه الشر فيئوس قنوط لاَّ يَسْأَمُ الْإِنسَانُ مِن دُعَاءِ الْخَيْرِ وَإِن مَّسَّهُ الشَّرُّ فَيَؤُوسٌ قَنُوطٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | انسان بھلائی مانگنے سے نہیں تھکتا اور اگر اسے برائی پہنچ جاتی ہے تو بہت ہی مایوس، آس و امید توڑ بیٹھنے والا ہو جاتا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Man does not weary of asking for good (things), but if ill touches him, he gives up all hope (and) is lost in despair.

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جب ہم انسان پر انعام فرماتے ہیں تو وہ منہ پھیر لیتا ہے اور اپنا پہلو بچا کر ہم سے دور ہو جاتا ہے اور جب اسے تکلیف پہنچتی ہے تو لمبی چوڑی دعا کرنے والا ہو جاتا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | When We bestow favours on man, he turns away, and gets himself remote on his side (instead of coming to Us); and when evil seizes him, (he comes) full of prolonged prayer!
