| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [10:88] | Waqala moosa rabbanainnaka atayta firAAawna wamalaahu zeenatan waamwalanfee alhayati alddunya rabbanaliyudilloo AAan sabeelika rabbana itmis AAalaamwalihim waoshdud AAala quloobihim falayu/minoo hatta yarawoo alAAathaba al-aleema |  وقال موسى ربنا إنك آتيت فرعون وملأه زينة وأموالا في الحياة الدنيا ربنا ليضلوا عن سبيلك ربنا اطمس على أموالهم واشدد على قلوبهم فلا يؤمنوا حتى يروا العذاب الأليموَقَالَ مُوسَى رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ آتَيْتَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَأَهُ زِينَةً وَأَمْوَالاً فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا رَبَّنَا لِيُضِلُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِكَ رَبَّنَا اطْمِسْ عَلَى أَمْوَالِهِمْ وَاشْدُدْ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ فَلاَ يُؤْمِنُواْ حَتَّى يَرَوُاْ الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور موسٰی (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: اے ہمارے رب! بیشک تو نے فرعون اور اس کے سرداروں کو دنیوی زندگی میں اسبابِ زینت اور مال و دولت (کی کثرت) دے رکھی ہے، اے ہمارے رب! (کیا تو نے انہیں یہ سب کچھ اس لئے دیا ہے) تاکہ وہ (لوگوں کو کبھی لالچ اور کبھی خوف دلا کر) تیری راہ سے بہکا دیں۔ اے ہمارے رب! تو ان کی دولتوں کو برباد کردے اور ان کے دلوں کو (اتنا) سخت کردے کہ وہ پھر بھی ایمان نہ لائیں حتٰی کہ وہ دردناک عذاب دیکھ لیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Moses prayed: "Our Lord! Thou hast indeed bestowed on Pharaoh and his chiefs splendour and wealth in the life of the present, and so, Our Lord, they mislead (men) from Thy Path. Deface our Lord, the features of their wealth, and send hardness to their hearts, so they will not believe until they see the grievous penalty."

| 2. [10:97] | Walaw jaat-hum kullu ayatin hattayarawoo alAAathaba al-aleema | ولو جاءتهم كل آية حتى يروا العذاب الأليم وَلَوْ جَاءَتْهُمْ كُلُّ آيَةٍ حَتَّى يَرَوُاْ الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اگرچہ ان کے پاس سب نشانیاں آجائیں یہاں تک کہ وہ دردناک عذاب (بھی) دیکھ لیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Even if every Sign was brought unto them,- until they see (for themselves) the penalty grievous.

| 3. [15:50] | Waanna AAathabee huwa alAAathabual-aleemu | وأن عذابي هو العذاب الأليم وَ أَنَّ عَذَابِي هُوَ الْعَذَابُ الْأَلِيمُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (اس بات سے بھی آگاہ کر دیجئے) کہ میرا ہی عذاب بڑا دردناک عذاب ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And that My Penalty will be indeed the most grievous Penalty.

| 4. [26:201] | La yu/minoona bihi hattayarawoo alAAathaba al-aleema | لا يؤمنون به حتى يروا العذاب الأليم لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ حَتَّى يَرَوُا الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ اس پر ایمان نہیں لائیں گے یہاں تک کہ درد ناک عذاب دیکھ لیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty;

| Tahir ul Qadri | بے شک تم دردناک عذاب کا مزہ چکھنے والے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty;-

| 6. [51:37] | Watarakna feeha ayatanlillatheena yakhafoona alAAathaba al-aleema | وتركنا فيها آية للذين يخافون العذاب الأليم وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَا آيَةً لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے اُس (بستی) میں اُن لوگوں کے لئے (عبرت کی) ایک نشانی باقی رکھی جو دردناک عذاب سے ڈرتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And We left there a Sign for such as fear the Grievous Penalty.
