Wamina alnnasi man yashtareelahwa alhadeethi liyudilla AAan sabeeli Allahibighayri AAilmin wayattakhithaha huzuwan ola-ikalahum AAathabun muheenun ومن الناس من يشتري لهو الحديث ليضل عن سبيل الله بغير علم ويتخذها هزوا أولئك لهم عذاب مهين
وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَشْتَرِي لَهْوَ الْحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًا أُولَئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ

  اور لوگوں میں سے کچھ ایسے بھی ہیں جو بیہودہ کلام خریدتے ہیں تاکہ بغیر سوجھ بوجھ کے لوگوں کو اﷲ کی راہ سے بھٹکا دیں اور اس (راہ) کا مذاق اڑائیں، ان ہی لوگوں کے لئے رسوا کن عذاب ہے

Yousuf AliBut there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge (or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on the Path): for such there will be a Humiliating Penalty.

Ahmed Aliاور بعض ایسے آدمی بھی ہیں جو کھیل کی باتوں کے خریدار ہیں تاکہ بن سمجھے الله کی راہ سے بہکائیں اور اس کی ہنسی اڑائیں ایسے لوگو ں کے لیے ذلت کا عذاب ہے

Abul Ala Maududiاور انسانوں ہی میں سے کوئی ایسا بھی ہے جو کلام دلفریب خرید کر لاتا ہے تاکہ لوگوں کو اللہ کے راستہ سے علم کے بغیر بھٹکا دے اور اس راستے کی دعوت کو مذاق میں اڑا دے ایسے لوگوں کے لیے سخت ذلیل کرنے والا عذاب ہے

Sarwar(In an attempt to show that God's revelations are only ancient legends) some people pay for meaningless tales to draw others attention away from the Quran without knowledge and treat as a matter of fun. They will suffer a humiliating torment.
H/K/SaheehAnd of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment.
MalikAmong the people there are some who purchase frivolous tales so that they may lead people away from the Way of Allah, without any knowledge, and take the invitation to the Right Way as a mockery. For such people there will be a humiliating punishment.[6]

Qaribullah There are some people who would purchase distracting talk, to lead astray from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and take it in mockery; for those is a humiliating punishment.

Contrary to what some of the commentators assume, the above statement does not refer to any one person (allegedly a contemporary of the Prophet) but describes a type of mentality and has, therefore, a general import.] so as to lead [those] without knowledge astray from the path of God, and to turn it to ridicule: for such there is shameful suffering in store.
Khalifa**Among the people, there are those who uphold baseless Hadith, and thus divert others from the path of GOD without knowledge, and take it in vain. These have incurred a shameful retribution.
Hilali/Khan**And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e.music, singing, etc.) to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and takes it (the Path of Allah, the Verses of the Quran) by way of mockery. For such there will be a humiliating torment (in the Hell-fire).
QXP Shabbir Ahemd**But among people, there are those who invest their time in HADITH which is unfounded, so as to lead those without knowledge away from the Path of Allah, making mockery of it (the Qur'an). For such there is shameful punishment in store.
