[7:175] | Waotlu AAalayhim nabaa allatheeataynahu ayatina fainsalakhaminha faatbaAAahu alshshaytanu fakanamina alghaweena |  واتل عليهم نبأ الذي آتيناه آياتنا فانسلخ منها فأتبعه الشيطان فكان من الغاوينوَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ الَّذِيَ آتَيْنَاهُ آيَاتِنَا فَانسَلَخَ مِنْهَا فَأَتْبَعَهُ الشَّيْطَانُ فَكَانَ مِنَ الْغَاوِينَ | |||||

| Yousuf Ali | Relate to them the story of the man to whom We sent Our signs, but he passed them by: so Satan followed him up, and he went astray.

[9:5] | Fa-itha insalakha al-ashhuru alhurumufaoqtuloo almushrikeena haythu wajadtumoohum wakhuthoohumwaohsuroohum waoqAAudoo lahum kulla marsadinfa-in taboo waaqamoo alssalatawaatawoo alzzakata fakhalloo sabeelahum innaAllaha ghafoorun raheemun | فإذا انسلخ الأشهر الحرم فاقتلوا المشركين حيث وجدتموهم وخذوهم واحصروهم واقعدوا لهم كل مرصد فإن تابوا وأقاموا الصلاة وآتوا الزكاة فخلوا سبيلهم إن الله غفور رحيم فَإِذَا انسَلَخَ الْأَشْهُرُ الْحُرُمُ فَاقْتُلُواْ الْمُشْرِكِينَ حَيْثُ وَجَدتُّمُوهُمْ وَخُذُوهُمْ وَاحْصُرُوهُمْ وَاقْعُدُواْ لَهُمْ كُلَّ مَرْصَدٍ فَإِن تَابُواْ وَأَقَامُواْ الصَّلاَةَ وَآتَوُاْ الزَّكَاةَ فَخَلُّواْ سَبِيلَهُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر جب حرمت والے مہینے گزر جائیں تو تم (حسبِ اعلان) مشرکوں کو قتل کر دو جہاں کہیں بھی تم ان کو پاؤ اور انہیں گرفتار کر لو اور انہیں قید کر دو اور انہیں (پکڑنے اور گھیرنے کے لئے) ہر گھات کی جگہ ان کی تاک میں بیٹھو، پس اگر وہ توبہ کر لیں اور نماز قائم کریں اور زکوٰۃ ادا کرنے لگیں تو ان کا راستہ چھوڑ دو۔ بیشک اللہ بڑا بخشنے والا نہایت مہربان ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ایک نشانی اُن کے لئے رات (بھی) ہے، ہم اس میں سے (کیسے) دن کو کھینچ لیتے ہیں سو وہ اس وقت اندھیرے میں پڑے رہ جاتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And a Sign for them is the Night: We withdraw therefrom the Day, and behold they are plunged in darkness;
