| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [7:131] | Fa-itha jaat-humu alhasanatuqaloo lana hathihi wa-in tusibhumsayyi-atun yattayyaroo bimoosa waman maAAahu alainnama ta-iruhum AAinda Allahi walakinnaaktharahum la yaAAlamoona |  فإذا جاءتهم الحسنة قالوا لنا هذه وإن تصبهم سيئة يطيروا بموسى ومن معه ألا إنما طائرهم عند الله ولكن أكثرهم لا يعلمونفَإِذَا جَاءَتْهُمُ الْحَسَنَةُ قَالُواْ لَنَا هَـذِهِ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَطَّيَّرُواْ بِمُوسَى وَمَن مَّعَهُ أَلاَ إِنَّمَا طَائِرُهُمْ عِندَ اللّهِ وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر جب انہیں آسائش پہنچتی تو کہتے: یہ ہماری اپنی وجہ سے ہے۔ اور اگر انہیں سختی پہنچتی، وہ موسٰی (علیہ السلام) اور ان کے (ایمان والے) ساتھیوں کی نسبت بدشگونی کرتے، خبردار! ان کا شگون (یعنی شامتِ اَعمال) تو اللہ ہی کے پاس ہے مگر ان میں سے اکثر لوگ علم نہیں رکھتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But when good (times) came, they said, "This is due to us;" When gripped by calamity, they ascribed it to evil omens connected with Moses and those with him! Behold! in truth the omens of evil are theirs in Allah's sight, but most of them do not understand!
