| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [16:34] | Faasabahum sayyi-atu maAAamiloo wahaqa bihim ma kanoo bihiyastahzi-oona |  فأصابهم سيئات ما عملوا وحاق بهم ما كانوا به يستهزئونفَأَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا عَمِلُواْ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | سو جو اَعمال انہوں نے کئے تھے انہی کی سزائیں ان کو پہنچیں اور اسی (عذاب) نے انہیں آگھیرا جس کا وہ مذاق اڑایا کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But the evil results of their deeds overtook them, and that very (Wrath) at which they had scoffed hemmed them in.

| 2. [39:48] | Wabada lahum sayyi-atu makasaboo wahaqa bihim ma kanoo bihiyastahzi-oona | وبدا لهم سيئات ما كسبوا وحاق بهم ما كانوا به يستهزئون وَبَدَا لَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِءُوْن | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اُن کے لئے وہ (سب) برائیاں ظاہر ہو جائیں گی جو انہوں نے کما رکھی ہیں اور انہیں وہ (عذاب) گھیر لے گا جس کا وہ مذاق اڑایا کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | For the evils of their Deeds will confront them, and they will be (completely) encircled by that which they used to mock at!

[39:51] | Faasabahum sayyi-atu makasaboo waallatheena thalamoo min haola-isayuseebuhum sayyi-atu ma kasaboo wamahum bimuAAjizeena | فأصابهم سيئات ما كسبوا والذين ظلموا من هؤلاء سيصيبهم سيئات ما كسبوا وما هم بمعجزين فَأَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا وَالَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْ هَؤُلَاءِ سَيُصِيبُهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا وَمَا هُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | تو انہیں وہ برائیاں آپہنچیں جو انہوں نے کما رکھی تھیں، اور اُن لوگوں میں سے جو ظلم کر رہے ہیں انہیں (بھی) عنقریب وہ برائیاں آپہنچیں گی جو انہوں نے کما رکھی ہیں، اور وہ (اللہ کو) عاجز نہیں کرسکتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Nay, the evil results of their Deeds overtook them. And the wrong-doers of this (generation)- the evil results of their Deeds will soon overtake them (too), and they will never be able to frustrate (Our Plan)!

| 4. [40:45] | Fawaqahu Allahu sayyi-atima makaroo wahaqa bi-ali firAAawna soo-oalAAathabi | فوقاه الله سيئات ما مكروا وحاق بآل فرعون سوء العذاب فَوَقَاهُ اللَّهُ سَيِّئَاتِ مَا مَكَرُوا وَحَاقَ بِآلِ فِرْعَوْنَ سُوءُ الْعَذَابِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر اللہ نے اُسے اُن لوگوں کی برائیوں سے بچا لیا جن کی وہ تدبیر کر رہے تھے اور آلِ فرعون کو بُرے عذاب نے گھیر لیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then Allah saved him from (every) ill that they plotted (against him), but the burnt of the Penalty encompassed on all sides the People of Pharaoh.

| Yousuf Ali | Then will appear to them the evil (fruits) of what they did, and they will be completely encircled by that which they used to mock at!
