| 1. [4:34] | Alrrijalu qawwamoonaAAala alnnisa-i bima faddalaAllahu baAAdahum AAala baAAdin wabimaanfaqoo min amwalihim faalssalihatu qanitatunhafithatun lilghaybi bima hafithaAllahu waallatee takhafoonanushoozahunna faAAithoohunna waohjuroohunnafee almadajiAAi waidriboohunna fa-in ataAAnakumfala tabghoo AAalayhinna sabeelan inna Allaha kanaAAaliyyan kabeeran |  الرجال قوامون على النساء بما فضل الله بعضهم على بعض وبما أنفقوا من أموالهم فالصالحات قانتات حافظات للغيب بما حفظ الله واللاتي تخافون نشوزهن فعظوهن واهجروهن في المضاجع واضربوهن فإن أطعنكم فلا تبغوا عليهن سبيلا إن الله كان عليا كبيراالرِّجَالُ قَوَّامُونَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ بِمَا فَضَّلَ اللّهُ بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ وَبِمَا أَنفَقُواْ مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ فَالصَّالِحَاتُ قَانِتَاتٌ حَافِظَاتٌ لِّلْغَيْبِ بِمَا حَفِظَ اللّهُ وَاللاَّتِي تَخَافُونَ نُشُوزَهُنَّ فَعِظُوهُنَّ وَاهْجُرُوهُنَّ فِي الْمَضَاجِعِ وَاضْرِبُوهُنَّ فَإِنْ أَطَعْنَكُمْ فَلاَ تَبْغُواْ عَلَيْهِنَّ سَبِيلاً إِنَّ اللّهَ كَانَ عَلِيًّا كَبِيرًا | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | مرد عورتوں پر محافظ و منتظِم ہیں اس لئے کہ اللہ نے ان میں سے بعض کو بعض پر فضیلت دی ہے اور اس وجہ سے (بھی) کہ مرد (ان پر) اپنے مال خرچ کرتے ہیں، پس نیک بیویاں اطاعت شعار ہوتی ہیں شوہروں کی عدم موجودگی میں اللہ کی حفاظت کے ساتھ (اپنی عزت کی) حفاظت کرنے والی ہوتی ہیں، اور تمہیں جن عورتوں کی نافرمانی و سرکشی کا اندیشہ ہو تو انہیں نصیحت کرو اور (اگر نہ سمجھیں تو) انہیں خواب گاہوں میں (خود سے) علیحدہ کر دو اور (اگر پھر بھی اصلاح پذیر نہ ہوں تو) انہیں (تادیباً ہلکا سا) مارو، پھر اگر وہ تمہاری فرمانبردار ہو جائیں تو ان پر (ظلم کا) کوئی راستہ تلاش نہ کرو، بیشک اللہ سب سے بلند سب سے بڑا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, great (above you all).

[4:75] | Wama lakum la tuqatiloonafee sabeeli Allahi waalmustadAAafeena mina alrrijaliwaalnnisa-i waalwildani allatheenayaqooloona rabbana akhrijna min hathihialqaryati alththalimi ahluhawaijAAal lana min ladunka waliyyan waijAAallana min ladunka naseeran | وما لكم لا تقاتلون في سبيل الله والمستضعفين من الرجال والنساء والولدان الذين يقولون ربنا أخرجنا من هذه القرية الظالم أهلها واجعل لنا من لدنك وليا واجعل لنا من لدنك نصيرا وَمَا لَكُمْ لاَ تُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْ هَـذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ الظَّالِمِ أَهْلُهَا وَاجْعَل لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيًّا وَاجْعَل لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ نَصِيرًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (مسلمانو!) تمہیں کیا ہوگیا ہے کہ تم اللہ کی راہ میں (غلبۂ دین کے لئے) اور ان بے بس (مظلوم و مقہور) مردوں، عورتوں اور بچوں (کی آزادی) کے لئے جنگ نہیں کرتے جو (ظلم و ستم سے تنگ ہو کر) پکارتے ہیں: اے ہمارے رب! ہمیں اس بستی سے نکال لے جہاں کے (وڈیرے) لوگ ظالم ہیں، اور کسی کو اپنی بارگاہ سے ہمارا کارساز مقرر فرما دے، اور کسی کو اپنی بارگاہ سے ہمارا مددگار بنا دے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And why should ye not fight in the cause of Allah and of those who, being weak, are ill-treated (and oppressed)?- Men, women, and children, whose cry is: "Our Lord! Rescue us from this town, whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from thee one who will protect; and raise for us from thee one who will help!"

| Tahir ul Qadri | سوائے ان واقعی مجبور و بے بس مردوں اور عورتوں اور بچوں کے، جو نہ کسی تدبیر پر قدرت رکھتے ہیں اور نہ (وہاں سے نکلنے کا) کوئی راستہ جانتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Except those who are (really) weak and oppressed - men, women, and children - who have no means in their power, nor (a guide-post) to their way.

| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک تم نفسانی خواہش کے لئے عورتوں کو چھوڑ کر مَردوں کے پاس آتے ہو بلکہ تم حد سے گزر جانے والے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "For ye practise your lusts on men in preference to women : ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds."

[24:31] | Waqul lilmu/minati yaghdudnamin absarihinna wayahfathnafuroojahunna wala yubdeena zeenatahunna illa mathahara minha walyadribnabikhumurihinna AAala juyoobihinna wala yubdeenazeenatahunna illa libuAAoolatihinna aw aba-ihinnaaw aba-i buAAoolatihinna aw abna-ihinna awabna-i buAAoolatihinna aw ikhwanihinna aw baneeikhwanihinna aw banee akhawatihinna aw nisa-ihinnaaw ma malakat aymanuhunna awi alttabiAAeenaghayri olee al-irbati mina alrrijali awi alttifliallatheena lam yathharoo AAala AAawratialnnisa-i wala yadribnabi-arjulihinna liyuAAlama ma yukhfeena min zeenatihinnawatooboo ila Allahi jameeAAan ayyuhaalmu/minoona laAAallakum tuflihoona | وقل للمؤمنات يغضضن من أبصارهن ويحفظن فروجهن ولا يبدين زينتهن إلا ما ظهر منها وليضربن بخمرهن على جيوبهن ولا يبدين زينتهن إلا لبعولتهن أو آبائهن أو آباء بعولتهن أو أبنائهن أو أبناء بعولتهن أو إخوانهن أو بني إخوانهن أو بني أخواتهن أو نسائهن أو ما ملكت أيمانهن أو التابعين غير أولي الإربة من الرجال أو الطفل الذين لم يظهروا على عورات النساء ولا يضربن بأرجلهن ليعلم ما يخفين من زينتهن وتوبوا إلى الله جميعا أيه المؤمنون لعلكم تفلحون وَقُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِنَّ وَيَحْفَظْنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ آبَائِهِنَّ أَوْ آبَاءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَائِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَاءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ إِخْوَانِهِنَّ أَوْ بَنِي إِخْوَانِهِنَّ أَوْ بَنِي أَخَوَاتِهِنَّ أَوْ نِسَائِهِنَّ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُنَّ أَوِ التَّابِعِينَ غَيْرِ أُوْلِي الْإِرْبَةِ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ أَوِ الطِّفْلِ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يَظْهَرُوا عَلَى عَوْرَاتِ النِّسَاءِ وَلَا يَضْرِبْنَ بِأَرْجُلِهِنَّ لِيُعْلَمَ مَا يُخْفِينَ مِن زِينَتِهِنَّ وَتُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا أَيُّهَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور آپ مومن عورتوں سے فرما دیں کہ وہ (بھی) اپنی نگاہیں نیچی رکھا کریں اور اپنی شرم گاہوں کی حفاظت کیا کریں اور اپنی آرائش و زیبائش کو ظاہر نہ کیا کریں سوائے (اسی حصہ) کے جو اس میں سے خود ظاہر ہوتا ہے اور وہ اپنے سروں پر اوڑھے ہوئے دوپٹے (اور چادریں) اپنے گریبانوں اور سینوں پر (بھی) ڈالے رہا کریں اور وہ اپنے بناؤ سنگھار کو (کسی پر) ظاہر نہ کیا کریں سوائے اپنے شوہروں کے یا اپنے باپ دادا یا اپنے شوہروں کے باپ دادا کے یا اپنے بیٹوں یا اپنے شوہروں کے بیٹوں کے یا اپنے بھائیوں یا اپنے بھتیجوں یا اپنے بھانجوں کے یا اپنی (ہم مذہب، مسلمان) عورتوں یا اپنی مملوکہ باندیوں کے یا مردوں میں سے وہ خدمت گار جو خواہش و شہوت سے خالی ہوں یا وہ بچے جو (کم سِنی کے باعث ابھی) عورتوں کی پردہ والی چیزوں سے آگاہ نہیں ہوئے (یہ بھی مستثنٰی ہیں) اور نہ (چلتے ہوئے) اپنے پاؤں (زمین پر اس طرح) مارا کریں کہ (پیروں کی جھنکار سے) ان کا وہ سنگھار معلوم ہو جائے جسے وہ (حکمِ شریعت سے) پوشیدہ کئے ہوئے ہیں، اور تم سب کے سب اللہ کے حضور توبہ کرو اے مومنو! تاکہ تم (ان احکام پر عمل پیرا ہو کر) فلاح پا جاؤ | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or the slaves whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O ye Believers! turn ye all together towards Allah, that ye may attain Bliss.

| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا تم اپنی نفسانی خواہش پوری کرنے کے لئے عورتوں کو چھوڑ کر مَردوں کے پاس جاتے ہو بلکہ تم جاہل لوگ ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Would ye really approach men in your lusts rather than women? Nay, ye are a people (grossly) ignorant!

[29:29] | A-innakum lata/toona alrrijalawataqtaAAoona alssabeela wata/toona fee nadeekumualmunkara fama kana jawaba qawmihi illaan qaloo i/tina biAAathabi Allahi inkunta mina alssadiqeena | أئنكم لتأتون الرجال وتقطعون السبيل وتأتون في ناديكم المنكر فما كان جواب قومه إلا أن قالوا ائتنا بعذاب الله إن كنت من الصادقين أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ الرِّجَالَ وَتَقْطَعُونَ السَّبِيلَ وَتَأْتُونَ فِي نَادِيكُمُ الْمُنكَرَ فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِ إِلَّا أَن قَالُوا ائْتِنَا بِعَذَابِ اللَّهِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا تم (شہوت رانی کے لئے) مَردوں کے پاس جاتے ہو اور ڈاکہ زنی کرتے ہو اور اپنی (بھری) مجلس میں ناپسندیدہ کام کرتے ہو، تو ان کی قوم کا جواب (بھی) اس کے سوا کچھ نہ تھا کہ کہنے لگے: تم ہم پر اللہ کا عذاب لے آؤ اگر تم سچے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Do ye indeed approach men, and cut off the highway?- and practise wickedness (even) in your councils?" But his people gave no answer but this: they said: "Bring us the Wrath of Allah if thou tellest the truth."
