[22:73] | Ya ayyuha alnnasuduriba mathalun faistamiAAoo lahu inna allatheenatadAAoona min dooni Allahi lan yakhluqoo thubabanwalawi ijtamaAAoo lahu wa-in yaslubuhumu alththubabushay-an la yastanqithoohu minhu daAAufa alttalibuwaalmatloobu |  يا أيها الناس ضرب مثل فاستمعوا له إن الذين تدعون من دون الله لن يخلقوا ذبابا ولو اجتمعوا له وإن يسلبهم الذباب شيئا لا يستنقذوه منه ضعف الطالب والمطلوبيَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ضُرِبَ مَثَلٌ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ لَن يَخْلُقُوا ذُبَابًا وَلَوِ اجْتَمَعُوا لَهُ وَإِن يَسْلُبْهُمُ الذُّبَابُ شَيْئًا لَّا يَسْتَنقِذُوهُ مِنْهُ ضَعُفَ الطَّالِبُ وَالْمَطْلُوبُ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اے لوگو! ایک مثال بیان کی جاتی ہے سو اسے غور سے سنو: بیشک جن (بتوں) کو تم اﷲ کے سوا پوجتے ہو وہ ہرگز ایک مکھی (بھی) پیدا نہیں کرسکتے اگرچہ وہ سب اس (کام) کے لئے جمع ہو جائیں، اور اگر ان سے مکھی کوئی چیز چھین کر لے جائے (تو) وہ اس چیز کو اس (مکھی) سے چھڑا (بھی) نہیں سکتے، کتنا بے بس ہے طالب (عابد) بھی اور مطلوب (معبود) بھی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | O men! Here is a parable set forth! listen to it! Those on whom, besides Allah, ye call, cannot create (even) a fly, if they all met together for the purpose! and if the fly should snatch away anything from them, they would have no power to release it from the fly. Feeble are those who petition and those whom they petition!
