| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [6:43] | Falawla ith jaahumba/suna tadarraAAoo walakin qasat quloobuhumwazayyana lahumu alshshaytanu ma kanooyaAAmaloona |  فلولا إذ جاءهم بأسنا تضرعوا ولكن قست قلوبهم وزين لهم الشيطان ما كانوا يعملونفَلَوْلاَ إِذْ جَاءَهُمْ بَأْسُنَا تَضَرَّعُواْ وَلَـكِن قَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ مَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر جب ان تک ہمارا عذاب آپہنچا تو انہوں نے عاجزی و زاری کیوں نہ کی؟ لیکن (حقیقت یہ ہے کہ) ان کے دل سخت ہوگئے تھے اور شیطان نے ان کے لئے وہ (گناہ) آراستہ کر دکھائے تھے جو وہ کیا کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | When the suffering reached them from us, why then did they not learn humility? On the contrary their hearts became hardened, and Satan made their (sinful) acts seem alluring to them.

[27:24] | Wajadtuha waqawmaha yasjudoonalilshshamsi min dooni Allahi wazayyana lahumu alshshaytanuaAAmalahum fasaddahum AAani alssabeeli fahumla yahtadoona | وجدتها وقومها يسجدون للشمس من دون الله وزين لهم الشيطان أعمالهم فصدهم عن السبيل فهم لا يهتدون وَجَدتُّهَا وَقَوْمَهَا يَسْجُدُونَ لِلشَّمْسِ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ فَصَدَّهُمْ عَنِ السَّبِيلِ فَهُمْ لَا يَهْتَدُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | میں نے اسے اور اس کی قوم کو اللہ کی بجائے سورج کو سجدہ کرتے پایا ہے اور شیطان نے ان کے اَعمالِ (بد) ان کے لئے خوب خوش نما بنا دیئے ہیں اور انہیں (توحید کی) راہ سے روک دیا ہے سو وہ ہدایت نہیں پا رہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "I found her and her people worshipping the sun besides Allah: Satan has made their deeds seem pleasing in their eyes, and has kept them away from the Path,- so they receive no guidance,-

[29:38] | WaAAadan wathamooda waqad tabayyanalakum min masakinihim wazayyana lahumu alshshaytanuaAAmalahum fasaddahum AAani alssabeeli wakanoomustabsireena | وعادا وثمود وقد تبين لكم من مساكنهم وزين لهم الشيطان أعمالهم فصدهم عن السبيل وكانوا مستبصرين وَعَادًا وَثَمُودَ وَقَد تَّبَيَّنَ لَكُم مِّن مَّسَاكِنِهِمْ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ فَصَدَّهُمْ عَنِ السَّبِيلِ وَكَانُوا مُسْتَبْصِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور عاد اور ثمود کو (بھی ہم نے ہلاک کیا) اور بیشک ان کے کچھ (تباہ شدہ) مکانات تمہارے لیئے (بطورِ عبرت) ظاہر ہو چکے ہیں اور شیطان نے ان کے اَعمالِ بد، ان کے لئے خوش نما بنا دیئے تھے اورانہیں (حق کی) راہ سے پھیر دیا تھا حالانکہ وہ بینا و دانا تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (Remember also) the 'Ad and the Thamud (people): clearly will appear to you from (the traces) of their buildings (their fate): the Evil One made their deeds alluring to them, and kept them back from the Path, though they were gifted with intelligence and skill.

[48:12] | Bal thanantum an lan yanqalibaalrrasoolu waalmu/minoona ila ahleehimabadan wazuyyina thalika fee quloobikum wathanantumthanna alssaw-i wakuntum qawman booran | بل ظننتم أن لن ينقلب الرسول والمؤمنون إلى أهليهم أبدا وزين ذلك في قلوبكم وظننتم ظن السوء وكنتم قوما بورا بَلْ ظَنَنتُمْ أَن لَّن يَنقَلِبَ الرَّسُولُ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَى أَهْلِيهِمْ أَبَدًا وَزُيِّنَ ذَلِكَ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ وَظَنَنتُمْ ظَنَّ السَّوْءِ وَكُنتُمْ قَوْمًا بُورًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بلکہ تم نے یہ گمان کیا تھا کہ رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اور اہلِ ایمان (یعنی صحابہ رضی اللہ عنھم) اب کبھی بھی پلٹ کر اپنے گھر والوں کی طرف نہیں آئیں گے اور یہ (گمان) تمہارے دلوں میں (تمہارے نفس کی طرف سے) خُوب آراستہ کر دیا گیا تھا اور تم نے بہت ہی برا گمان کیا، اور تم ہلاک ہونے والی قوم بن گئے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Nay, ye thought that the Messenger and the Believers would never return to their families; this seemed pleasing in your hearts, and ye conceived an evil thought, for ye are a people lost (in wickedness)."
