| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[29:8] | Wawassayna al-insana biwalidayhihusnan wa-in jahadaka litushrika bee malaysa laka bihi AAilmun fala tutiAAhumailayya marjiAAukum faonabbi-okum bima kuntum taAAmaloona |  ووصينا الإنسان بوالديه حسنا وإن جاهداك لتشرك بي ما ليس لك به علم فلا تطعهما إلي مرجعكم فأنبئكم بما كنتم تعملونوَوَصَّيْنَا الْإِنسَانَ بِوَالِدَيْهِ حُسْنًا وَإِن جَاهَدَاكَ لِتُشْرِكَ بِي مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ فَلَا تُطِعْهُمَا إِلَيَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے انسان کو اس کے والدین سے نیک سلوک کا حکم فرمایا اور اگر وہ تجھ پر (یہ) کوشش کریں کہ تو میرے ساتھ اس چیز کو شریک ٹھہرائے جس کا تجھے کچھ بھی علم نہیں تو ان کی اطاعت مت کر، میری ہی طرف تم (سب) کو پلٹنا ہے سو میں تمہیں ان (کاموں) سے آگاہ کردوں گا جو تم (دنیا میں) کیا کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We have enjoined on man kindness to parents: but if they (either of them) strive (to force) thee to join with Me (in worship) anything of which thou hast no knowledge, obey them not. Ye have (all) to return to me, and I will tell you (the truth) of all that ye did.

[31:15] | Wa-in jahadaka AAala antushrika bee ma laysa laka bihi AAilmun fala tutiAAhumawasahibhuma fee alddunya maAAroofanwaittabiAA sabeela man anaba ilayya thumma ilayyamarjiAAukum faonabbi-okum bima kuntum taAAmaloona | وإن جاهداك على أن تشرك بي ما ليس لك به علم فلا تطعهما وصاحبهما في الدنيا معروفا واتبع سبيل من أناب إلي ثم إلي مرجعكم فأنبئكم بما كنتم تعملون وَإِن جَاهَدَاكَ عَلَى أَن تُشْرِكَ بِي مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ فَلَا تُطِعْهُمَا وَصَاحِبْهُمَا فِي الدُّنْيَا مَعْرُوفًا وَاتَّبِعْ سَبِيلَ مَنْ أَنَابَ إِلَيَّ ثُمَّ إِلَيَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اگر وہ دونوں تجھ پر اس بات کی کوشش کریں کہ تو میرے ساتھ اس چیز کو شریک ٹھہرائے جس (کی حقیقت) کا تجھے کچھ علم نہیں ہے تو ان کی اطاعت نہ کرنا، اور دنیا (کے کاموں) میں ان کا اچھے طریقے سے ساتھ دینا، اور (عقیدہ و امورِ آخرت میں) اس شخص کی پیروی کرنا جس نے میری طرف توبہ و طاعت کا سلوک اختیار کیا۔ پھر میری ہی طرف تمہیں پلٹ کر آنا ہے تو میں تمہیں ان کاموں سے باخبر کر دوں گا جو تم کرتے رہے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "But if they strive to make thee join in worship with Me things of which thou hast no knowledge, obey them not; yet bear them company in this life with justice (and consideration), and follow the way of those who turn to me (in love): in the end the return of you all is to Me, and I will tell you the truth (and meaning) of all that ye did."
