| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [2:228] | Waalmutallaqatuyatarabbasna bi-anfusihinna thalathata quroo-in walayahillu lahunna an yaktumna ma khalaqa Allahufee arhamihinna in kunna yu/minna biAllahiwaalyawmi al-akhiri wabuAAoolatuhunna ahaqqubiraddihinna fee thalika in aradoo islahanwalahunna mithlu allathee AAalayhinna bialmaAAroofiwalilrrijali AAalayhinna darajatun waAllahuAAazeezun hakeemun |  والمطلقات يتربصن بأنفسهن ثلاثة قروء ولا يحل لهن أن يكتمن ما خلق الله في أرحامهن إن كن يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر وبعولتهن أحق بردهن في ذلك إن أرادوا إصلاحا ولهن مثل الذي عليهن بالمعروف وللرجال عليهن درجة والله عزيز حكيموَالْمُطَلَّقَاتُ يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنفُسِهِنَّ ثَلاَثَةَ قُرُوءٍ وَلاَ يَحِلُّ لَهُنَّ أَن يَكْتُمْنَ مَا خَلَقَ اللّهُ فِي أَرْحَامِهِنَّ إِن كُنَّ يُؤْمِنَّ بِاللّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَبُعُولَتُهُنَّ أَحَقُّ بِرَدِّهِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ إِنْ أَرَادُواْ إِصْلاَحًا وَلَهُنَّ مِثْلُ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَلِلرِّجَالِ عَلَيْهِنَّ دَرَجَةٌ وَاللّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكُيمٌ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور طلاق یافتہ عورتیں اپنے آپ کو تین حیض تک روکے رکھیں، اور ان کے لئے جائز نہیں کہ وہ اسے چھپائیں جو اﷲ نے ان کے رحموں میں پیدا فرما دیا ہو، اگر وہ اﷲ پر اور قیامت کے دن پر ایمان رکھتی ہیں، اور اس مدت کے اندر ان کے شوہروں کو انہیں (پھر) اپنی زوجیت میں لوٹا لینے کا حق زیادہ ہے اگر وہ اصلاح کا ارادہ کر لیں، اور دستور کے مطابق عورتوں کے بھی مردوں پر اسی طرح حقوق ہیں جیسے مردوں کے عورتوں پر، البتہ مردوں کو ان پر فضیلت ہے، اور اﷲ بڑا غالب بڑی حکمت والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Divorced women shall wait concerning themselves for three monthly periods. Nor is it lawful for them to hide what Allah Hath created in their wombs, if they have faith in Allah and the Last Day. And their husbands have the better right to take them back in that period, if they wish for reconciliation. And women shall have rights similar to the rights against them, according to what is equitable; but men have a degree (of advantage) over them. And Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise.

[9:46] | Walaw aradoo alkhurooja laaAAaddoolahu AAuddatan walakin kariha Allahu inbiAAathahumfathabbatahum waqeela oqAAudoo maAAa alqaAAideena | ولو أرادوا الخروج لأعدوا له عدة ولكن كره الله انبعاثهم فثبطهم وقيل اقعدوا مع القاعدين وَلَوْ أَرَادُواْ الْخُرُوجَ لَأَعَدُّواْ لَهُ عُدَّةً وَلَـكِن كَرِهَ اللّهُ انبِعَاثَهُمْ فَثَبَّطَهُمْ وَقِيلَ اقْعُدُواْ مَعَ الْقَاعِدِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اگر انہوں نے (واقعی جہاد کے لئے) نکلنے کا ارادہ کیا ہوتا تو وہ اس کے لئے (کچھ نہ کچھ) سامان تو ضرور مہیا کر لیتے لیکن (حقیقت یہ ہے کہ ان کے کذب و منافقت کے باعث) اللہ نے ان کا (جہاد کے لئے) کھڑے ہونا (ہی) ناپسند فرمایا سو اس نے انہیں (وہیں) روک دیا اور ان سے کہہ دیا گیا کہ تم (جہاد سے جی چرا کر) بیٹھ رہنے والوں کے ساتھ بیٹھے رہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | If they had intended to come out, they would certainly have made some preparation therefor; but Allah was averse to their being sent forth; so He made them lag behind, and they were told, "Sit ye among those who sit (inactive)."

| 3. [22:22] | Kullama aradoo an yakhrujoominha min ghammin oAAeedoo feeha wathooqooAAathaba alhareeqi | كلما أرادوا أن يخرجوا منها من غم أعيدوا فيها وذوقوا عذاب الحريق كُلَّمَا أَرَادُوا أَن يَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا مِنْ غَمٍّ أُعِيدُوا فِيهَا وَذُوقُوا عَذَابَ الْحَرِيقِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ جب بھی شدّتِ تکلیف سے وہاں سے نکلنے کا ارادہ کریں گے (تو) اس میں واپس لوٹا دیئے جائیں گے اور (ان سے کہا جائے گا:) سخت آگ کے عذاب کا مزہ چکھو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Every time they wish to get away therefrom, from anguish, they will be forced back therein, and (it will be said), "Taste ye the Penalty of Burning!"

[32:20] | Waamma allatheena fasaqoofama/wahumu alnnaru kullama aradooan yakhrujoo minha oAAeedoo feeha waqeela lahum thooqooAAathaba alnnari allathee kuntum bihitukaththiboona | وأما الذين فسقوا فمأواهم النار كلما أرادوا أن يخرجوا منها أعيدوا فيها وقيل لهم ذوقوا عذاب النار الذي كنتم به تكذبون وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ فَسَقُوا فَمَأْوَاهُمُ النَّارُ كُلَّمَا أَرَادُوا أَن يَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا أُعِيدُوا فِيهَا وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ ذُوقُوا عَذَابَ النَّارِ الَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جو لوگ نافرمان ہوئے سو ان کا ٹھکانا دوزخ ہے۔ وہ جب بھی اس سے نکل بھاگنے کا ارادہ کریں گے تو اسی میں لوٹا دیئے جائیں گے اور ان سے کہا جائے گا کہ اِس آتشِ دوزخ کا عذاب چکھتے رہو جِسے تم جھٹلایا کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | As to those who are rebellious and wicked, their abode will be the Fire: every time they wish to get away therefrom, they will be forced thereinto, and it will be said to them: "Taste ye the Penalty of the Fire, the which ye were wont to reject as false."
