Waqalati imraatu firAAawna qurratuAAaynin lee walaka la taqtuloohu AAasa an yanfaAAanaaw nattakhithahu waladan wahum la yashAAuroona وقالت امرأت فرعون قرت عين لي ولك لا تقتلوه عسى أن ينفعنا أو نتخذه ولدا وهم لا يشعرون
وَقَالَتِ امْرَأَتُ فِرْعَوْنَ قُرَّتُ عَيْنٍ لِّي وَلَكَ لَا تَقْتُلُوهُ عَسَى أَن يَنفَعَنَا أَوْ نَتَّخِذَهُ وَلَدًا وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ

  اور فرعون کی بیوی نے (موسٰی علیہ السلام کو دیکھ کر) کہا کہ (یہ بچہ) میری اور تیری آنکھ کے لئے ٹھنڈک ہے۔ اسے قتل نہ کرو، شاید یہ ہمیں فائدہ پہنچائے یا ہم اس کو بیٹا بنالیں اور وہ (اس تجویز کے انجام سے) بے خبر تھے

Yousuf AliThe wife of Pharaoh said: "(Here is) joy of the eye, for me and for thee: slay him not. It may be that he will be use to us, or we may adopt him as a son." And they perceived not (what they were doing)!

Abul Ala Maududiفرعون کی بیوی نے (اس سے) کہا "یہ میرے اور تیرے لیے آنکھوں کی ٹھنڈک ہے، اسے قتل نہ کرو، کیا عجب کہ یہ ہمارے لیے مفید ثابت ہو، یا ہم اسے بیٹا ہی بنا لیں" اور وہ (انجام سے) بے خبر تھے
