| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [6:34] | Walaqad kuththibat rusulun minqablika fasabaroo AAala ma kuththiboowaoothoo hatta atahum nasrunawala mubaddila likalimati Allahi walaqad jaakamin naba-i almursaleena |  ولقد كذبت رسل من قبلك فصبروا على ما كذبوا وأوذوا حتى أتاهم نصرنا ولا مبدل لكلمات الله ولقد جاءك من نبإ المرسلينوَلَقَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٌ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَصَبَرُواْ عَلَى مَا كُذِّبُواْ وَأُوذُواْ حَتَّى أَتَاهُمْ نَصْرُنَا وَلاَ مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَاتِ اللّهِ وَلَقدْ جَاءَكَ مِن نَّبَإِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک آپ سے قبل (بھی بہت سے) رسول جھٹلائے گئے مگر انہوں نے جھٹلائے جانے اور اذیت پہنچائے جانے پر صبر کیا حتٰی کہ انہیں ہماری مدد آپہنچی، اور اﷲ کی باتوں (یعنی وعدوں کو) کوئی بدلنے والا نہیں، اور بیشک آپ کے پاس (تسکینِ قلب کے لیے) رسولوں کی خبریں آچکی ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Rejected were the messengers before thee: with patience and constancy they bore their rejection and their wrongs, until Our aid did reach them: there is none that can alter the words (and decrees) of Allah. Already hast thou received some account of those messengers.

| 2. [22:42] | Wa-in yukaththibooka faqad kaththabatqablahum qawmu noohin waAAadun wathamoodu | وإن يكذبوك فقد كذبت قبلهم قوم نوح وعاد وثمود وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَعَادٌ وَثَمُودُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اگر یہ (کفار) آپ کو جھٹلاتے ہیں تو ا ن سے پہلے قومِ نوح اور عاد و ثمود نے بھی (اپنے رسولوں کو) جھٹلایا تھا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | If they treat thy (mission) as false, so did the peoples before them (with their prophets),- the People of Noah, and 'Ad and Thamud;

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اگر وہ آپ کو جھٹلائیں تو آپ سے پہلے کتنے ہی رسول جھٹلائے گئے، اور تمام کام اﷲ ہی کی طرف لوٹائے جائیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And if they reject thee, so were messengers rejected before thee: to Allah back for decision all affairs.

| Tahir ul Qadri | اِن سے پہلے قومِ نوح نے اور عاد نے اور بڑی مضبوط حکومت والے (یا میخوں سے اذیّت دینے والے) فرعون نے (بھی) جھٹلایا تھا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Before them (were many who) rejected messengers,- the people of Noah, and 'Ad, and Pharaoh, the Lord of Stakes,

[40:5] | Kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohinwaal-ahzabu min baAAdihim wahammat kulluommatin birasoolihim liya/khuthoohu wajadaloo bialbatililiyudhidoo bihi alhaqqa faakhathtuhumfakayfa kana AAiqabi | كذبت قبلهم قوم نوح والأحزاب من بعدهم وهمت كل أمة برسولهم ليأخذوه وجادلوا بالباطل ليدحضوا به الحق فأخذتهم فكيف كان عقاب كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَالْأَحْزَابُ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ وَهَمَّتْ كُلُّ أُمَّةٍ بِرَسُولِهِمْ لِيَأْخُذُوهُ وَجَادَلُوا بِالْبَاطِلِ لِيُدْحِضُوا بِهِ الْحَقَّ فَأَخَذْتُهُمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اِن سے پہلے قومِ نوح نے اور اُن کے بعد (اور) بہت سی امتّوں نے (اپنے رسولوں کو) جھٹلایا اور ہر امّت نے اپنے رسول کے بارے میں ارادہ کیا کہ اسے پکڑ (کر قتل کر دیں یا قید کر) لیں اور بے بنیاد باتوں کے ذریعے جھگڑا کیا تاکہ اس (جھگڑے) کے ذریعے حق (کا اثر) زائل کر دیں سو میں نے انہیں (عذاب میں) پکڑ لیا، پس (میرا) عذاب کیسا تھا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But (there were people) before them, who denied (the Signs),- the People of Noah, and the Confederates (of Evil) after them; and every People plotted against their prophet, to seize him, and disputed by means of vanities, therewith to condemn the Truth; but it was I that seized them! and how (terrible) was My Requital!

| Tahir ul Qadri | اِن (کفّارِ مکہ) سے پہلے قومِ نوح نے، اور (سرزمینِ یمامہ کے اندھے) کنویں والوں نے، اور (مدینہ سے شام کی طرف تبوک کے قریب بستیِ حجر میں آباد صالح علیہ السلام کی قوم) ثمود نے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Before them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Noah, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud,

| 11. [54:9] | Kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohinfakaththaboo AAabdana waqaloo majnoonun waizdujira | كذبت قبلهم قوم نوح فكذبوا عبدنا وقالوا مجنون وازدجر كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ فَكَذَّبُوا عَبْدَنَا وَقَالُوا مَجْنُونٌ وَازْدُجِرَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اِن سے پہلے قومِ نوح نے (بھی) جھٹلایا تھا۔ سو انہوں نے ہمارے بندۂ (مُرسَل نُوح علیہ السلام) کی تکذیب کی اور کہا: (یہ) دیوانہ ہے، اور انہیں دھمکیاں دی گئیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Before them the People of Noah rejected (their messenger): they rejected Our servant, and said, "Here is one possessed!", and he was driven out.

| Yousuf Ali | The 'Ad (people) (too) rejected (Truth): then how terrible was My Penalty and My Warning?
