| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [9:13] | Ala tuqatiloona qawmannakathoo aymanahum wahammoo bi-ikhraji alrrasooliwahum badaookum awwala marratin atakhshawnahum faAllahuahaqqu an takhshawhu in kuntum mu/mineena |  ألا تقاتلون قوما نكثوا أيمانهم وهموا بإخراج الرسول وهم بدءوكم أول مرة أتخشونهم فالله أحق أن تخشوه إن كنتم مؤمنينأَلاَ تُقَاتِلُونَ قَوْمًا نَّكَثُواْ أَيْمَانَهُمْ وَهَمُّواْ بِإِخْرَاجِ الرَّسُولِ وَهُم بَدَؤُوكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ أَتَخْشَوْنَهُمْ فَاللّهُ أَحَقُّ أَن تَخْشَوْهُ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا تم ایسی قوم سے جنگ نہیں کرو گے جنہوں نے اپنی قََسمیں توڑ ڈالیں اور رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو جلاوطن کرنے کا ارادہ کیا حالانکہ پہلی مرتبہ انہوں نے تم سے (عہد شکنی اور جنگ کی) ابتداء کی، کیا تم ان سے ڈرتے ہو جبکہ اللہ زیادہ حقدار ہے کہ تم اس سے ڈرو بشرطیکہ تم مومن ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Will ye not fight people who violated their oaths, plotted to expel the Messenger, and took the aggressive by being the first (to assault) you? Do ye fear them? Nay, it is Allah Whom ye should more justly fear, if ye believe!

[9:92] | Wala AAala allatheena ithama atawka litahmilahum qulta la ajidu maahmilukum AAalayhi tawallaw waaAAyunuhum tafeedumina alddamAAi hazanan alla yajidoo mayunfiqoona | ولا على الذين إذا ما أتوك لتحملهم قلت لا أجد ما أحملكم عليه تولوا وأعينهم تفيض من الدمع حزنا ألا يجدوا ما ينفقون وَلاَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ إِذَا مَا أَتَوْكَ لِتَحْمِلَهُمْ قُلْتَ لاَ أَجِدُ مَا أَحْمِلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ تَوَلَّواْ وَّأَعْيُنُهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ الدَّمْعِ حَزَنًا أَلاَّ يَجِدُواْ مَا يُنفِقُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور نہ ایسے لوگوں پر (طعنہ و الزام کی راہ ہے) جبکہ وہ آپ کی خدمت میں (اس لئے) حاضر ہوئے کہ آپ انہیں (جہاد کے لئے) سوار کریں (کیونکہ ان کے پاس اپنی کوئی سواری نہ تھی تو) آپ نے فرمایا: میں (بھی) کوئی (زائد سواری) نہیں پاتا ہوں جس پر تمہیں سوار کر سکوں، (تو) وہ (آپ کے اذن سے) اس حالت میں لوٹے کہ ان کی آنکھیں (جہاد سے محرومی کے) غم میں اشکبار تھیں کہ (افسوس) وہ (اس قدر) زادِ راہ نہیں پاتے جسے وہ خرچ کر سکیں (اور شریک جہاد ہو سکیں) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Nor (is there blame) on those who came to thee to be provided with mounts, and when thou saidst, "I can find no mounts for you," they turned back, their eyes streaming with tears of grief that they had no resources wherewith to provide the expenses.

[9:99] | Wamina al-aAArabi man yu/minu biAllahiwaalyawmi al-akhiri wayattakhithu mayunfiqu qurubatin AAinda Allahi wasalawatialrrasooli ala innaha qurbatun lahumsayudkhiluhumu Allahu fee rahmatihi inna Allahaghafoorun raheemun | ومن الأعراب من يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر ويتخذ ما ينفق قربات عند الله وصلوات الرسول ألا إنها قربة لهم سيدخلهم الله في رحمته إن الله غفور رحيم وَمِنَ الأَعْرَابِ مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِاللّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَيَتَّخِذُ مَا يُنفِقُ قُرُبَاتٍ عِندَ اللّهِ وَصَلَوَاتِ الرَّسُولِ أَلاَ إِنَّهَا قُرْبَةٌ لَّهُمْ سَيُدْخِلُهُمُ اللّهُ فِي رَحْمَتِهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بادیہ نشینوں میں (ہی) وہ شخص (بھی) ہے جو اﷲ پر اور یومِ آخرت پر ایمان رکھتا ہے اور جو کچھ (راہِ خدا میں) خرچ کرتاہے اسے اﷲ کے حضور تقرب اور رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی (رحمت بھری) دعائیں لینے کا ذریعہ سمجھتا ہے، سن لو! بیشک وہ ان کے لئے باعثِ قربِ الٰہی ہے، جلد ہی اﷲ انہیں اپنی رحمت میں داخل فرما دے گا۔ بیشک اللہ بڑا بخشنے والا نہایت مہربان ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But some of the desert Arabs believe in Allah and the Last Day, and look on their payments as pious gifts bringing them nearer to Allah and obtaining the prayers of the Messenger. Aye, indeed they bring them nearer (to Him): soon will Allah admit them to His Mercy: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

[10:66] | Ala inna lillahi man fee alssamawatiwaman fee al-ardi wama yattabiAAu allatheenayadAAoona min dooni Allahi shurakaa inyattabiAAoona illa alththanna wa-inhum illa yakhrusoona | ألا إن لله من في السماوات ومن في الأرض وما يتبع الذين يدعون من دون الله شركاء إن يتبعون إلا الظن وإن هم إلا يخرصون أَلاَ إِنَّ لِلّهِ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَات وَمَن فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ شُرَكَاءَ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلاَّ الظَّنَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلاَّ يَخْرُصُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جان لو جو کوئی آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو کوئی زمین میں ہے سب اللہ ہی کے (مملوک) ہیں، اور جو لوگ اللہ کے سوا (بتوں) کی پرستش کرتے ہیں (درحقیقت اپنے گھڑے ہوئے) شریکوں کی پیروی (بھی) نہیں کرتے، بلکہ وہ صرف (اپنے) وہم و گمان کی پیروی کرتے ہیں اور وہ محض غلط اندازے لگاتے رہتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Behold! verily to Allah belong all creatures, in the heavens and on earth. What do they follow who worship as His "partners" other than Allah? They follow nothing but fancy, and they do nothing but lie.

| 5. [11:95] | Kaan lam yaghnaw feeha alabuAAdan limadyana kama baAAidat thamoodu | كأن لم يغنوا فيها ألا بعدا لمدين كما بعدت ثمود كَأَن لَّمْ يَغْنَوْاْ فِيهَا أَلاَ بُعْدًا لِّمَدْيَنَ كَمَا بَعِدَتْ ثَمُودُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | گویا وہ ان میں کبھی بسے ہی نہ تھی۔ سنو! (اہلِ) مدین کے لئے ہلاکت ہے جیسے (قومِ) ثمود ہلاک ہوئی تھی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | As if they had never dwelt and flourished there! Ah! Behold! How the Madyan were removed (from sight) as were removed the Thamud!

[12:59] | Walamma jahhazahum bijahazihimqala i/toonee bi-akhin lakum min abeekum alatarawna annee oofee alkayla waana khayru almunzileena | ولما جهزهم بجهازهم قال ائتوني بأخ لكم من أبيكم ألا ترون أني أوفي الكيل وأنا خير المنزلين وَلَمَّا جَهَّزَهُم بِجَهَازِهِمْ قَالَ ائْتُونِي بِأَخٍ لَّكُم مِّنْ أَبِيكُمْ أَلاَ تَرَوْنَ أَنِّي أُوفِي الْكَيْلَ وَأَنَاْ خَيْرُ الْمُـنْـزِلِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جب یوسف (علیہ السلام) نے ان کا سامان (زاد و متاع) انہیں مہیا کر دیا (تو) فرمایا: اپنے پدری بھائی (بنیامین) کو میرے پاس لے آؤ، کیا تم نہیں دیکھتے کہ میں (کس قدر) پورا ناپتا ہوں اور میں بہترین مہمان نواز (بھی) ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And when he had furnished them forth with provisions (suitable) for them, he said: "Bring unto me a brother ye have, of the same father as yourselves, (but a different mother): see ye not that I pay out full measure, and that I do provide the best hospitality?

| 7. [13:28] | Allatheena amanoo watatma-innuquloobuhum bithikri Allahi ala bithikriAllahi tatma-innu alquloobu | الذين آمنوا وتطمئن قلوبهم بذكر الله ألا بذكر الله تطمئن القلوب الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُم بِذِكْرِ اللّهِ أَلاَ بِذِكْرِ اللّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور ان کے دل اﷲ کے ذکر سے مطمئن ہوتے ہیں، جان لو کہ اﷲ ہی کے ذکر سے دلوں کو اطمینان نصیب ہوتا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Those who believe, and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah: for without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction.

[14:12] | Wama lana allanatawakkala AAala Allahi waqad hadanasubulana walanasbiranna AAala ma athaytumoonawaAAala Allahi falyatawakkali almutawakkiloona | وما لنا ألا نتوكل على الله وقد هدانا سبلنا ولنصبرن على ما آذيتمونا وعلى الله فليتوكل المتوكلون وَمَا لَنَا أَلاَّ نَتَوَكَّلَ عَلَى اللّهِ وَقَدْ هَدَانَا سُبُلَنَا وَلَنَصْبِرَنَّ عَلَى مَا آذَيْتُمُونَا وَعَلَى اللّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہمیں کیا ہے کہ ہم اللہ پر بھروسہ نہ کریں درآنحالیکہ اسی نے ہمیں (ہدایت و کامیابی کی) راہیں دکھائی ہیں، اور ہم ضرور تمہاری اذیت رسانیوں پر صبر کریں گے اور اہلِ توکل کو اللہ ہی پر توکل کرنا چاہیے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "No reason have we why we should not put our trust on Allah. Indeed He Has guided us to the Ways we (follow). We shall certainly bear with patience all the hurt you may cause us. For those who put their trust should put their trust on Allah."

[11:8] | Wala-in akhkharna AAanhumu alAAathabaila ommatin maAAdoodatin layaqoolunna ma yahbisuhuala yawma ya/teehim laysa masroofan AAanhum wahaqabihim ma kanoo bihi yastahzi-oona | ولئن أخرنا عنهم العذاب إلى أمة معدودة ليقولن ما يحبسه ألا يوم يأتيهم ليس مصروفا عنهم وحاق بهم ما كانوا به يستهزئون وَلَئِنْ أَخَّرْنَا عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابَ إِلَى أُمَّةٍ مَّعْدُودَةٍ لَّيَقُولُنَّ مَا يَحْبِسُهُ أَلاَ يَوْمَ يَأْتِيهِمْ لَيْسَ مَصْرُوفًا عَنْهُمْ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اگر ہم ان سے چند مقررہ دنوں تک عذاب کو مؤخر کردیں تو وہ یقینًا کہیں گے کہ اسے کس چیز نے روک رکھا ہے، خبردار! جس دن وہ (عذاب) ان پر آئے گا (تو) ان سے پھیرا نہ جائے گا اور وہ (عذاب) انہیں گھیر لے گا جس کا وہ مذاق اڑایا کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | If We delay the penalty for them for a definite term, they are sure to say, "What keeps it back?" Ah! On the day it (actually) reaches them, nothing will turn it away from them, and they will be completely encircled by that which they used to mock at!

[11:18] | Waman athlamu mimmani iftaraAAala Allahi kathiban ola-ika yuAAradoonaAAala rabbihim wayaqoolu al-ashhadu haola-iallatheena kathaboo AAala rabbihim alalaAAnatu Allahi AAala alththalimeena | ومن أظلم ممن افترى على الله كذبا أولئك يعرضون على ربهم ويقول الأشهاد هؤلاء الذين كذبوا على ربهم ألا لعنة الله على الظالمين وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللّهِ كَذِبًا أُوْلَـئِكَ يُعْرَضُونَ عَلَى رَبِّهِمْ وَيَقُولُ الْأَشْهَادُ هَـؤُلاَءِ الَّذِينَ كَذَبُواْ عَلَى رَبِّهِمْ أَلاَ لَعْنَةُ اللّهِ عَلَى الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اس سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون ہو سکتا ہے جو اﷲ پر جھوٹا بہتان باندھتا ہے، ایسے ہی لوگ اپنے رب کے حضور پیش کئے جائیں گے اور گواہ کہیں گے: یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے اپنے رب پر جھوٹ بولا تھا، جان لو کہ ظالموں پر اﷲ کی لعنت ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Who doth more wrong than those who invent a life against Allah? They will be turned back to the presence of their Lord, and the witnesses will say, "These are the ones who lied against their Lord! Behold! the Curse of Allah is on those who do wrong!-

[12:40] | Ma taAAbudoona min doonihi illaasmaan sammaytumooha antum waabaokumma anzala Allahu biha min sultaninini alhukmu illa lillahi amara allataAAbudoo illa iyyahu thalika alddeenualqayyimu walakinna akthara alnnasi layaAAlamoona | ما تعبدون من دونه إلا أسماء سميتموها أنتم وآباؤكم ما أنزل الله بها من سلطان إن الحكم إلا لله أمر ألا تعبدوا إلا إياه ذلك الدين القيم ولكن أكثر الناس لا يعلمون مَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِهِ إِلاَّ أَسْمَاءً سَمَّيْتُمُوهَا أَنتُمْ وَآبَآؤُكُم مَّا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ بِهَا مِن سُلْطَانٍ إِنِ الْحُكْمُ إِلاَّ لِلّهِ أَمَرَ أَلاَّ تَعْبُدُواْ إِلاَّ إِيَّاهُ ذَلِكَ الدِّينُ الْقَيِّمُ وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | تم (حقیقت میں) اﷲ کے سوا کسی کی عبادت نہیں کرتے ہو مگر چند ناموں کی جو خود تم نے اور تمہارے باپ دادا نے (اپنے پاس سے) رکھ لئے ہیں، اﷲ نے ان کی کوئی سند نہیں اتاری۔ حکم کا اختیار صرف اﷲ کو ہے، اسی نے حکم فرمایا ہے کہ تم اس کے سوا کسی کی عبادت نہ کرو، یہی سیدھا راستہ (درست دین) ہے لیکن اکثر لوگ نہیں جانتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "If not Him, ye worship nothing but names which ye have named,- ye and your fathers,- for which Allah hath sent down no authority: the command is for none but Allah: He hath commanded that ye worship none but Him: that is the right religion, but most men understand not...

| 12. [15:32] | Qala ya ibleesu ma lakaalla takoona maAAa alssajideena | قال يا إبليس ما لك ألا تكون مع الساجدين قَالَ يَا إِبْلِيسُ مَا لَكَ أَلاَّ تَكُونَ مَعَ السَّاجِدِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (اللہ نے) ارشاد فرمایا: اے ابلیس! تجھے کیا ہو گیا ہے کہ تو سجدہ کرنے والوں کے ساتھ نہ ہوا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (Allah) said: "O Iblis! what is your reason for not being among those who prostrated themselves?"

| 13. [16:25] | Liyahmiloo awzarahum kamilatanyawma alqiyamati wamin awzari allatheena yudilloonahumbighayri AAilmin ala saa ma yaziroona | ليحملوا أوزارهم كاملة يوم القيامة ومن أوزار الذين يضلونهم بغير علم ألا ساء ما يزرون لِيَحْمِلُواْ أَوْزَارَهُمْ كَامِلَةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمِنْ أَوْزَارِ الَّذِينَ يُضِلُّونَهُم بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ أَلاَ سَاءَ مَا يَزِرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (یہ سب کچھ اس لئے کہہ رہے ہیں) تاکہ روزِ قیامت وہ اپنے (اعمالِ بد کے) پورے پورے بوجھ اٹھائیں اور کچھ بوجھ اُن لوگوں کے بھی (اٹھائیں) جنہیں (اپنی) جہالت کے ذریعہ گمراہ کئے جا رہے ہیں، جان لو! بہت بُرا بوجھ ہے جو یہ اٹھا رہے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Let them bear, on the Day of Judgment, their own burdens in full, and also (something) of the burdens of those without knowledge, whom they misled. Alas, how grievous the burdens they will bear!

[16:59] | Yatawara mina alqawmi minsoo-i ma bushshira bihi ayumsikuhu AAala hoonin amyadussuhu fee altturabi ala saa mayahkumoona | يتوارى من القوم من سوء ما بشر به أيمسكه على هون أم يدسه في التراب ألا ساء ما يحكمون يَتَوَارَى مِنَ الْقَوْمِ مِن سُوءِ مَا بُشِّرَ بِهِ أَيُمْسِكُهُ عَلَى هُونٍ أَمْ يَدُسُّهُ فِي التُّرَابِ أَلاَ سَاءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ لوگوں سے چُھپا پھرتا ہے (بزعمِ خویش) اس بری خبر کی وجہ سے جو اسے سنائی گئی ہے، (اب یہ سوچنے لگتا ہے کہ) آیا اسے ذلت و رسوائی کے ساتھ (زندہ) رکھے یا اسے مٹی میں دبا دے (یعنی زندہ درگور کر دے)، خبردار! کتنا برا فیصلہ ہے جو وہ کرتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | With shame does he hide himself from his people, because of the bad news he has had! Shall he retain it on (sufferance and) contempt, or bury it in the dust? Ah! what an evil (choice) they decide on?

[17:2] | Waatayna moosa alkitabawajaAAalnahu hudan libanee isra-eela allatattakhithoo min doonee wakeelan | وآتينا موسى الكتاب وجعلناه هدى لبني إسرائيل ألا تتخذوا من دوني وكيلا وَآتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ وَجَعَلْنَاهُ هُدًى لِّبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَلاَّ تَتَّخِذُواْ مِن دُونِي وَكِيلاً | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے موسٰی (علیہ السلام) کو کتاب (تورات) عطا کی اور ہم نے اسے بنی اسرائیل کے لئے ہدایت بنایا (اور انہیں حکم دیا) کہ تم میرے سوا کسی کو کار ساز نہ ٹھہراؤ | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We gave Moses the Book, and made it a Guide to the Children of Israel, (commanding): "Take not other than Me as Disposer of (your) affairs."

| 16. [19:10] | Qala rabbi ijAAal lee ayatan qalaayatuka alla tukallima alnnasa thalathalayalin sawiyyan | قال رب اجعل لي آية قال آيتك ألا تكلم الناس ثلاث ليال سويا قَالَ رَبِّ اجْعَل لِّي آيَةً قَالَ آيَتُكَ أَلاَّ تُكَلِّمَ النَّاسَ ثَلاَثَ لَيَالٍ سَوِيًّا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (زکریا علیہ السلام نے) عرض کیا: اے میرے رب! میرے لئے کوئی نشانی مقرر فرما، ارشاد ہوا: تمہاری نشانی یہ ہے کہ تم بالکل تندرست ہوتے ہوئے بھی تین رات (دن) لوگوں سے کلام نہ کرسکوگے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (Zakariya) said: "O my Lord! give me a Sign." "Thy Sign," was the answer, "Shall be that thou shalt speak to no man for three nights, although thou art not dumb."

| 17. [19:24] | Fanadaha min tahtihaalla tahzanee qad jaAAala rabbuki tahtakisariyyan | فناداها من تحتها ألا تحزني قد جعل ربك تحتك سريا فَنَادَاهَا مِن تَحْتِهَا أَلاَّ تَحْزَنِي قَدْ جَعَلَ رَبُّكِ تَحْتَكِ سَرِيًّا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ان کے نیچے کی جانب سے (جبرائیل نے یا خود عیسٰی علیہ السلام نے) انہیں آواز دی کہ تو رنجیدہ نہ ہو، بیشک تمہارے رب نے تمہارے نیچے ایک چشمہ جاری کر دیا ہے (یا تمہارے نیچے ایک عظیم المرتبہ انسان کو پیدا کر کے لٹا دیا ہے) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But (a voice) cried to her from beneath the (palm-tree): "Grieve not! for thy Lord hath provided a rivulet beneath thee;

[19:48] | WaaAAtazilukum wama tadAAoona mindooni Allahi waadAAoo rabbee AAasa allaakoona biduAAa-i rabbee shaqiyyan | وأعتزلكم وما تدعون من دون الله وأدعو ربي عسى ألا أكون بدعاء ربي شقيا وَأَعْتَزِلُكُمْ وَمَا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَأَدْعُواْ رَبِّي عَسَى أَلاَّ أَكُونَ بِدُعَاءِ رَبِّي شَقِيًّا | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | بھلا کیا وہ (اتنا بھی) نہیں دیکھتے تھے کہ وہ (بچھڑا) انہیں کسی بات کا جواب (بھی) نہیں دے سکتا اور نہ ان کے لئے کسی نقصان کا اختیار رکھتا ہے اور نہ نفع کا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Could they not see that it could not return them a word (for answer), and that it had no power either to harm them or to do them good?

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور آپ کے رب نے حکم فرما دیا ہے کہ تم اﷲ کے سوا کسی کی عبادت مت کرو اور والدین کے ساتھ حسنِ سلوک کیا کرو، اگر تمہارے سامنے دونوں میں سے کوئی ایک یا دونوں بڑھاپے کو پہنچ جائیں تو انہیں ”اُف“ بھی نہ کہنا اور انہیں جھڑکنا بھی نہیں اور ان دونوں کے ساتھ بڑے ادب سے بات کیا کرو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Thy Lord hath decreed that ye worship none but Him, and that ye be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in thy life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honour.

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور تم میں سے (دینی) بزرگی والے اور (دنیوی) کشائش والے (اب) اس بات کی قَسم نہ کھائیں کہ وہ (اس بہتان کے جرم میں شریک) رشتہ داروں اور محتاجوں اور اللہ کی راہ میں ہجرت کرنے والوں کو (مالی امداد نہ) دیں گے انہیں چاہئے کہ (ان کا قصور) معاف کر دیں اور (ان کی غلطی سے) درگزر کریں، کیا تم اس بات کو پسند نہیں کرتے کہ اللہ تمہیں بخش دے، اور اللہ بڑا بخشنے والا مہربان ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Let not those among you who are endued with grace and amplitude of means resolve by oath against helping their kinsmen, those in want, and those who have left their homes in Allah's cause: let them forgive and overlook, do you not wish that Allah should forgive you? For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

| Tahir ul Qadri | خبردار! جو کچھ آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہے (سب) اللہ ہی کا ہے، وہ یقیناً جانتا ہے جس حال پر تم ہو (ایمان پر ہو یا منافقت پر)، اور جس دن لوگ اس کی طرف لوٹائے جائیں گے تو وہ انہیں بتا دے گا جو کچھ وہ کیا کرتے تھے اور اللہ ہر چیز کو خوب جاننے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Be quite sure that to Allah doth belong whatever is in the heavens and on earth. Well doth He know what ye are intent upon: and one day they will be brought back to Him, and He will tell them the truth of what they did: for Allah doth know all things.
