| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[8:44] | Wa-ith yureekumoohum ithiiltaqaytum fee aAAyunikum qaleelan wayuqallilukum fee aAAyunihimliyaqdiya Allahu amran kana mafAAoolan wa-ilaAllahi turjaAAu al-omooru |  وإذ يريكموهم إذ التقيتم في أعينكم قليلا ويقللكم في أعينهم ليقضي الله أمرا كان مفعولا وإلى الله ترجع الأموروَإِذْ يُرِيكُمُوهُمْ إِذِ الْتَقَيْتُمْ فِي أَعْيُنِكُمْ قَلِيلاً وَيُقَلِّلُكُمْ فِي أَعْيُنِهِمْ لِيَقْضِيَ اللّهُ أَمْرًا كَانَ مَفْعُولاً وَإِلَى اللّهِ تُرْجَعُ الْأُمُورُ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (وہ منظر بھی انہیں یاد دلائیے) جب اس نے ان کافروں (کی فوج) کو باہم مقابلہ کے وقت (بھی محض) تمہاری آنکھوں میں تمہیں تھوڑا کر کے دکھایا اور تمہیں ان کی آنکھوں میں تھوڑا دکھلایا (تاکہ دونوں لشکر لڑائی میں مستعد رہیں) یہ اس لئے کہ اللہ اس (بھر پور جنگ کے نتیجے میں کفار کی شکستِ فاش کے) امر کو پورا کر دے جو (عند اللہ) مقرر ہو چکا تھا، اور (بالآخر) اللہ ہی کی طرف تمام کام لوٹائے جاتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And remember when ye met, He showed them to you as few in your eyes, and He made you appear as contemptible in their eyes: that Allah might accomplish a matter already enacted. For to Allah do all questions go back (for decision).
