Falamma raa alqamara bazighanqala hatha rabbee falamma afala qalala-in lam yahdinee rabbee laakoonanna mina alqawmi alddalleena فلما رأى القمر بازغا قال هذا ربي فلما أفل قال لئن لم يهدني ربي لأكونن من القوم الضالين
فَلَمَّا رَأَى الْقَمَرَ بَازِغًا قَالَ هَـذَا رَبِّي فَلَمَّا أَفَلَ قَالَ لَئِن لَّمْ يَهْدِنِي رَبِّي لَأَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الضَّالِّينَ

  پھر جب چاند کو چمکتے دیکھا (تو) کہا: (کیا تمہارے خیال میں) یہ میرا رب ہے؟ پھرجب وہ (بھی) غائب ہوگیا تو (اپنی قوم کو سنا کر) کہنے لگے: اگر میرا رب مجھے ہدایت نہ فرماتا تو میں بھی ضرور (تمہاری طرح) گمراہوں کی قوم میں سے ہو جاتا

Yousuf AliWhen he saw the moon rising in splendour, he said: "This is my Lord." But when the moon set, He said: "unless my Lord guide me, I shall surely be among those who go astray."
