Qul man yunajjeekum min thulumatialbarri waalbahri tadAAoonahu tadarruAAanwakhufyatan la-in anjana min hathihilanakoonanna mina alshshakireena قل من ينجيكم من ظلمات البر والبحر تدعونه تضرعا وخفية لئن أنجانا من هذه لنكونن من الشاكرين
قُلْ مَن يُنَجِّيكُم مِّن ظُلُمَاتِ الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ تَدْعُونَهُ تَضَرُّعاً وَخُفْيَةً لَّئِنْ أَنْجَانَا مِنْ هَـذِهِ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ

  آپ (ان سے دریافت) فرمائیں کہ بیابان اور دریا کی تاریکیوں سے تمہیں کون نجات دیتا ہے؟ (اس وقت تو) تم گڑگڑا کر (بھی) اور چپکے چپکے (بھی) اسی کو پکارتے ہو کہ اگر وہ ہمیں اس (مصیبت) سے نجات دے دے تو ہم ضرور شکر گزاروں میں سے ہو جائیں گے

Ahmed Aliکہہ دو تمہیں جنگل اور دریا کے اندھیروں سے کون بچا تا ہے جب اسے عاجزی سے اور چھپا کر پکارتے ہوکہ اگر ہمیں اس آفت سے بچا لے تو البتہ ہم ضرور شکر گزار کرنے والوں میں سے ہوں گے

Shabbir Ahmed پُوچھو (ان سے)! کون بچاتا ہے تم کو صحرا اور سمندر کی تاریکیوں (میں خطرات) سے جب تم پُکارتے ہو اس کو گڑ گڑا کر اور چپکے چپکے کہ اگر بجالے وہ ہم کو، اس بلا سے تو ہم ضرور ہوں گے شکر گزار۔

Abul Ala Maududiاے محمدؐ! ا ن سے پوچھو، صحرا اور سمندر کی تاریکیوں میں کون تمہیں خطرات سے بچاتا ہے؟ کو ن ہے جس سے تم (مصیبت کے وقت) گڑ گڑا، گڑگڑا کر اور چپکے چپکے دعائیں مانگتے ہو؟ کس سے کہتے ہو کہ اگر اس بلا سے تو نے ہم کو بچا لیا تو ہم ضرور شکر گزار ہوں گے؟

LiteralSay: "Who saves/rescues you from (the) darknesses (of) the land/shore and the sea/ocean, you call Him humbly and humiliated and secretly: "If (E) He saved/rescued us from this we will become (E) from the thankful/grateful."

Sarwar(Muhammad), ask them, "Who would save you from the darkness of the land and sea if you were to pray humbly and secretly saying, 'Would that we were saved from this, for we would certainly then give thanks ".
