Ma qataAAtum min leenatin awtaraktumooha qa-imatan AAala osoolihafabi-ithni Allahi waliyukhziya alfasiqeena ما قطعتم من لينة أو تركتموها قائمة على أصولها فبإذن الله وليخزي الفاسقين
مَا قَطَعْتُم مِّن لِّينَةٍ أَوْ تَرَكْتُمُوهَا قَائِمَةً عَلَى أُصُولِهَا فَبِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ وَلِيُخْزِيَ الْفَاسِقِينَ
Tahir ul Qadri

  (اے مومنو! یہود بنو نَضیر کے محاصرہ کے دوران) جو کھجور کے درخت تم نے کاٹ ڈالے یا تم نے انہیں اُن کی جڑوں پر کھڑا چھوڑ دیا تو (یہ سب) اللہ ہی کے حکم سے تھا اور اس لئے کہ وہ نافرمانوں کو ذلیل و رسوا کرے

Yousuf AliWhether ye cut down (O ye Muslim!) The tender palm-trees, or ye left them standing on their roots, it was by leave of Allah, and in order that He might cover with shame the rebellious transgresses.

Khalifa**Whether you chop a tree or leave it standing on its trunk is in accordance with GOD's will. He will surely humiliate the wicked.
Hilali/Khan**What you (O Muslims) cut down of the palm-trees (of the enemy), or you left them standing on their stems, it was by Leave of Allah, and in order that He might disgrace the Fasiqoon (rebellious, disobedient to Allah).
QXP Shabbir Ahemd**Whatever softness you disregarded, or kept up by way of principle, was in accord with Allah's Command, in order that He might disgrace those who drifted away from their treaties.('Lina' = Softness, gentleness = Soft young palm tree. 'Fasiq' = One who drifts away).
