Walaqad jaahum mina al-anba-i mafeehi muzdajarun ولقد جاءهم من الأنباء ما فيه مزدجر
وَلَقَدْ جَاءَهُم مِّنَ الْأَنبَاءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزْدَجَرٌ

  اور بیشک اُن کے پاس (پہلی قوموں کی) ایسی خبریں آچکی ہیں جن میں (کفر و نافرمانی پر بڑی) عبرت و سرزنش ہے

Abul Ala Maududiاِن لوگوں کے سامنے (پچھلی قوموں کے) وہ حالات آ چکے ہیں جن میں سرکشی سے باز رکھنے کے لیے کافی سامان عبرت ہے

AsadAnd withal, there has come unto them many a tiding that should have restrained [their arrogance]: [Lit., "in which there was a restraint": i.e., many an indication, in observable nature, of God's creative and re-creative power, as well as many a tiding, through God-inspired prophets, of a continuation of life after bodily death and, therefore, of the fact that a person's attitudes and doings in this world must have definite consequences in the life to come.]
Khalifa**Sufficient warnings have been delivered to alert them.
Hilali/Khan**And indeed there has come to them news (in this Quran) wherein there is (enough warning) to check (them from evil),
