| 7. [52:7] | Inna AAathaba rabbika lawaqiAAun | إن عذاب ربك لواقع إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَاقِعٌ | |||||

| Yousuf Ali | Verily, the Doom of thy Lord will indeed come to pass;-

| 8. [52:8] | Ma lahu min dafiAAin | ما له من دافع مَّا لَهُ مِن دَافِعٍ | |||||

| Yousuf Ali | There is none can avert it;-

| 9. [52:9] | Yawma tamooru alssamao mawran | يوم تمور السماء مورا يَوْمَ تَمُورُ السَّمَاءُ مَوْرًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جس دن آسمان سخت تھر تھراہٹ کے ساتھ لرزے گا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | On the Day when the firmament will be in dreadful commotion.

| 10. [52:10] | Wataseeru aljibalu sayran | وتسير الجبال سيرا وَتَسِيرُ الْجِبَالُ سَيْرًا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور پہاڑ (اپنی جگہ چھوڑ کر بادلوں کی طرح) تیزی سے اڑنے اور (ذرّات کی طرح) بکھرنے لگیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And the mountains will fly hither and thither.

| Words | |وتسير - And will move away,| الجبال - the mountains| سيرا - (with an awful) movement| | ||||||
| 11. [52:11] | Fawaylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena | فويل يومئذ للمكذبين فَوَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو اُس دن جھٹلانے والوں کے لئے بڑی تباہی ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then woe that Day to those that treat (Truth) as Falsehood;-
| ||||||
| Words | |فويل - Then woe,| يومئذ - that Day,| للمكذبين - to the deniers,| | ||||||
| 12. [52:12] | Allatheena hum fee khawdinyalAAaboona | الذين هم في خوض يلعبون الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي خَوْضٍ يَلْعَبُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جو باطل (بے ہودگی) میں پڑے غفلت کا کھیل کھیل رہے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | That play (and paddle) in shallow trifles.
| ||||||
| Words | |الذين - Who| هم - [they]| في - in| خوض - (vain) discourse| يلعبون - are playing.| | ||||||
| 13. [52:13] | Yawma yudaAAAAoona ila narijahannama daAAAAan | يوم يدعون إلى نار جهنم دعا يَوْمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَى نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جس دن کو وہ دھکیل دھکیل کر آتشِ دوزخ کی طرف لائے جائیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | That Day shall they be thrust down to the Fire of Hell, irresistibly.

| Words | |يوم - (The) Day| يدعون - they will be thrust| إلى - (in)to| نار - (the) Fire| جهنم - (of) Hell| دعا - (with) a thrust.| | ||||||
| 14. [52:14] | Hathihi alnnaru allateekuntum biha tukaththiboona | هذه النار التي كنتم بها تكذبون هَذِهِ النَّارُ الَّتِي كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (اُن سے کہا جائے گا:) یہ ہے وہ جہنّم کی آگ جسے تم جھٹلایا کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "This:, it will be said, "Is the Fire,- which ye were wont to deny!

| Words | |هذه - "This| النار - (is) the Fire| التي - which| كنتم - you used to| بها - [of it]| تكذبون - deny.| | ||||||
| 15. [52:15] | Afasihrun hatha am antum latubsiroona | أفسحر هذا أم أنتم لا تبصرون أَفَسِحْرٌ هَذَا أَمْ أَنتُمْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو کیا یہ جادو ہے یا تمہیں دکھائی نہیں دیتا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Is this then a fake, or is it ye that do not see?
| ||||||
| Words | |أفسحر - Then is this magic,| هذا - Then is this magic,| أم - or| أنتم - you| لا - (do) not| تبصرون - see?| | ||||||
| 16. [52:16] | Islawha faisbirooaw la tasbiroo sawaon AAalaykum innamatujzawna ma kuntum taAAmaloona | اصلوها فاصبروا أو لا تصبروا سواء عليكم إنما تجزون ما كنتم تعملون اصْلَوْهَا فَاصْبِرُوا أَوْ لَا تَصْبِرُوا سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْكُمْ إِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اس میں داخل ہو جاؤ، پھر تم صبر کرو یا صبر نہ کرو، تم پر برابر ہے، تمہیں صرف انہی کاموں کا بدلہ دیا جائے گا جو تم کرتے رہے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Burn ye therein: the same is it to you whether ye bear it with patience, or not: Ye but receive the recompense of your (own) deeds."

| 17. [52:17] | Inna almuttaqeena fee jannatinwanaAAeemin | إن المتقين في جنات ونعيم إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَنَعِيمٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک متّقی لوگ بہشتوں اور نعمتوں میں ہوں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | As to the Righteous, they will be in Gardens, and in Happiness,-
| ||||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| المتقين - the righteous| في - (will be) in| جنات - Gardens| ونعيم - and pleasure,| | ||||||
| 18. [52:18] | Fakiheena bima atahumrabbuhum wawaqahum rabbuhum AAathaba aljaheemi | فاكهين بما آتاهم ربهم ووقاهم ربهم عذاب الجحيم فَاكِهِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَوَقَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيمِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | خوش اور لطف اندوز ہوں گے اُن (عطاؤں) سے جن سے اُن کے رب نے انہیں نوازا ہوگا، اور اُن کا رب انہیں دوزخ کے عذاب سے محفوظ رکھے گا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Enjoying the (Bliss) which their Lord hath bestowed on them, and their Lord shall deliver them from the Penalty of the Fire.

| Words | |فاكهين - Enjoying| بما - in what| آتاهم - has given them| ربهم - their Lord,| ووقاهم - and protected them| ربهم - their Lord| عذاب - (from the) punishment| الجحيم - (of) Hellfire.| | ||||||
| 19. [52:19] | Kuloo waishraboo hanee-an bimakuntum taAAmaloona | كلوا واشربوا هنيئا بما كنتم تعملون كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (اُن سے کہا جائے گا:) تم اُن (نیک) اعمال کے صلہ میں جو تم کرتے رہے تھے خوب مزے سے کھاؤ اور پیو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (To them will be said:) "Eat and drink ye, with profit and health, because of your (good) deeds."

| Words | |كلوا - "Eat| واشربوا - and drink| هنيئا - (in) satisfaction| بما - for what| كنتم - you used to| تعملون - do."| | ||||||
| 20. [52:20] | Muttaki-eena AAala sururin masfoofatinwazawwajnahum bihoorin AAeenin | متكئين على سرر مصفوفة وزوجناهم بحور عين مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَى سُرُرٍ مَّصْفُوفَةٍ وَزَوَّجْنَاهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ صف در صف بچھے ہوئے تختوں پر تکیے لگائے (بیٹھے) ہوں گے، اور ہم گوری رنگت (اور) دلکش آنکھوں والی حوروں کو اُن کی زوجیت میں دے دیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They will recline (with ease) on Thrones (of dignity) arranged in ranks; and We shall join them to Companions, with beautiful big and lustrous eyes.

| Words | |متكئين - Reclining| على - on| سرر - thrones| مصفوفة - lined up,| وزوجناهم - and We will marry them| بحور - to fair ones| عين - (with) large eyes.| | ||||||
| 21. [52:21] | Waallatheena amanoo waittabaAAat-humthurriyyatuhum bi-eemanin alhaqnabihim thurriyyatahum wama alatnahum minAAamalihim min shay-in kullu imri-in bima kasaba raheenun | والذين آمنوا واتبعتهم ذريتهم بإيمان ألحقنا بهم ذريتهم وما ألتناهم من عملهم من شيء كل امرئ بما كسب رهين وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَاتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإِيْمَانٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَمَا أَلَتْنَاهُم مِّنْ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَيْءٍ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور اُن کی اولاد نے ایمان میں اُن کی پیروی کی، ہم اُن کی اولاد کو (بھی) (درجاتِ جنت میں) اُن کے ساتھ ملا دیں گے (خواہ اُن کے اپنے عمل اس درجہ کے نہ بھی ہوں یہ صرف اُن کے صالح آباء کے اکرام میں ہوگا) اور ہم اُن (صالح آباء) کے ثوابِ اعمال سے بھی کوئی کمی نہیں کریں گے، (علاوہ اِس کے) ہر شخص اپنے ہی عمل (کی جزا و سزا) میں گرفتار ہوگا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And those who believe and whose families follow them in Faith,- to them shall We join their families: Nor shall We deprive them (of the fruit) of aught of their works: (Yet) is each individual in pledge for his deeds.

| Words | |والذين - And those who| آمنوا - believed| واتبعتهم - and followed them| ذريتهم - their offspring| بإيمان - in faith,| ألحقنا - We will join| بهم - with them| ذريتهم - their offspring| وما - and not| ألتناهم - We will deprive them| من - of| عملهم - their deeds| من - (in) any| شيء - thing.| كل - Every| امرئ - person| بما - for what| كسب - he earned| رهين - (is) pledged.| | ||||||
| 22. [52:22] | Waamdadnahum bifakihatin walahminmimma yashtahoona | وأمددناهم بفاكهة ولحم مما يشتهون وَأَمْدَدْنَاهُم بِفَاكِهَةٍ وَلَحْمٍ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم انہیں پھل (میوے) اور گوشت، جو وہ چاہیں گے زیادہ سے زیادہ دیتے رہیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And We shall bestow on them, of fruit and meat, anything they shall desire.
| ||||||
| Words | |وأمددناهم - And We will provide them| بفاكهة - with fruit| ولحم - and meat| مما - from what| يشتهون - they desire.| | ||||||
| 23. [52:23] | YatanazaAAoona feeha ka/san lalaghwun feeha wala ta/theemun | يتنازعون فيها كأسا لا لغو فيها ولا تأثيم يَتَنَازَعُونَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا لَّا لَغْوٌ فِيهَا وَلَا تَأْثِيمٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہاں یہ لوگ جھپٹ جھپٹ کر (شرابِ طہور کے) جام لیں گے، اس (شرابِ جنت) میں نہ کوئی بے ہودہ گوئی ہوگی اور نہ گناہ گاری ہوگی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They shall there exchange, one with another, a (loving) cup free of frivolity, free of all taint of ill.
| ||||||
| Words | |يتنازعون - They will pass to one another| فيها - therein| كأسا - a cup,| لا - no| لغو - ill speech| فيها - therein| ولا - and no| تأثيم - sin.| | ||||||
| 24. [52:24] | Wayatoofu AAalayhim ghilmanunlahum kaannahum lu/luon maknoonun | ويطوف عليهم غلمان لهم كأنهم لؤلؤ مكنون وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ غِلْمَانٌ لَّهُمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لُؤْلُؤٌ مَّكْنُونٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور نوجوان (خدمت گزار) اُن کے اِردگرد گھومتے ہوں گے، گویا وہ غلاف میں چھپائے ہوئے موتی ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Round about them will serve, (devoted) to them, young male servants (handsome) as Pearls well-guarded.

| Words | |ويطوف - And will circulate| عليهم - among them| غلمان - boys| لهم - for them,| كأنهم - as if they (were)| لؤلؤ - pearls| مكنون - well-protected.| | ||||||
| 25. [52:25] | Waaqbala baAAduhum AAala baAAdinyatasaaloona | وأقبل بعضهم على بعض يتساءلون وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور وہ ایک دوسرے کی طرف متوجہ ہو کر باہم پرسشِ احوال کریں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They will advance to each other, engaging in mutual enquiry.
| ||||||
| Words | |وأقبل - And will approach| بعضهم - some of them| على - to| بعض - others| يتساءلون - inquiring.| | ||||||
| 26. [52:26] | Qaloo inna kunna qablufee ahlina mushfiqeena | قالوا إنا كنا قبل في أهلنا مشفقين قَالُوا إِنَّا كُنَّا قَبْلُ فِي أَهْلِنَا مُشْفِقِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ کہیں گے: بیشک ہم اس سے پہلے اپنے گھروں میں (عذابِ الٰہی سے) ڈرتے رہتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They will say: "Aforetime, we were not without fear for the sake of our people.
| ||||||
| Words | |قالوا - They will say,| إنا - "Indeed, we| كنا - [we] were| قبل - before| في - among| أهلنا - our families| مشفقين - fearful,| | ||||||
| 27. [52:27] | Famanna Allahu AAalayna wawaqanaAAathaba alssamoomi | فمن الله علينا ووقانا عذاب السموم فَمَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا وَوَقَانَا عَذَابَ السَّمُومِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس اﷲ نے ہم پر احسان فرما دیا اور ہمیں نارِ جہنّم کے عذاب سے بچا لیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "But Allah has been good to us, and has delivered us from the Penalty of the Scorching Wind.
| ||||||
| Words | |فمن - But Allah conferred favor| الله - But Allah conferred favor| علينا - upon us,| ووقانا - and protected us| عذاب - (from the) punishment| السموم - (of) the Scorching Fire.| | ||||||
| 28. [52:28] | Inna kunna min qablu nadAAoohuinnahu huwa albarru alrraheemu | إنا كنا من قبل ندعوه إنه هو البر الرحيم إِنَّا كُنَّا مِن قَبْلُ نَدْعُوهُ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْبَرُّ الرَّحِيمُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک ہم پہلے سے ہی اُسی کی عبادت کیا کرتے تھے، بیشک وہ احسان فرمانے والا بڑا رحم فرمانے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Truly, we did call unto Him from of old: truly it is He, the Beneficent, the Merciful!"
| ||||||
| Words | |إنا - Indeed, we| كنا - [we] used to| من - before| قبل - before| ندعوه - call Him.| إنه - Indeed, He| هو - [He]| البر - (is) the Most Kind,| الرحيم - the Most Merciful."| | ||||||
| 29. [52:29] | Fathakkir fama anta biniAAmatirabbika bikahin wala majnoonin | فذكر فما أنت بنعمت ربك بكاهن ولا مجنون فَذَكِّرْ فَمَا أَنتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو (اے حبیبِ مکرّم!) آپ نصیحت فرماتے رہیں پس آپ اپنے رب کے فضل و کرم سے نہ تو کاہن (یعنی جنّات کے ذریعے خبریں دینے والے) ہیں اور نہ دیوانے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Therefore proclaim thou the praises (of thy Lord): for by the Grace of thy Lord, thou art no (vulgar) soothsayer, nor art thou one possessed.

| Words | |فذكر - Therefore remind,| فما - for not| أنت - you| بنعمت - (are) by (the) grace| ربك - (of) your Lord| بكاهن - a soothsayer,| ولا - and not| مجنون - a madman.| | ||||||
| 30. [52:30] | Am yaqooloona shaAAirun natarabbasubihi rayba almanooni | أم يقولون شاعر نتربص به ريب المنون أَمْ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرٌ نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهِ رَيْبَ الْمَنُونِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا (کفّار) کہتے ہیں: (یہ) شاعر ہیں؟ ہم اِن کے حق میں حوادثِ زمانہ کا انتظار کر رہے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Or do they say:- "A Poet! we await for him some calamity (hatched) by Time!"
