| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [5:68] | Qul ya ahla alkitabi lastumAAala shay-in hatta tuqeemoo alttawratawaal-injeela wama onzila ilaykum min rabbikumwalayazeedanna katheeran minhum ma onzila ilayka minrabbika tughyanan wakufran fala ta/sa AAalaalqawmi alkafireena |  قل يا أهل الكتاب لستم على شيء حتى تقيموا التوراة والإنجيل وما أنزل إليكم من ربكم وليزيدن كثيرا منهم ما أنزل إليك من ربك طغيانا وكفرا فلا تأس على القوم الكافرينقُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لَسْتُمْ عَلَى شَيْءٍ حَتَّى تُقِيمُواْ التَّوْرَاةَ وَالْإِنجِيلَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُم مَّا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغْيَانًا وَكُفْرًا فَلاَ تَأْسَ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | فرما دیجئے: اے اہلِ کتاب! تم (دین میں سے) کسی شے پر بھی نہیں ہو، یہاں تک کہ تم تورات اور انجیل اور جو کچھ تمہاری طرف تمہارے رب کی جانب سے نازل کیا گیا ہے (نافذ اور) قائم کر دو، اور (اے حبیب!) جو (کتاب) آپ کی طرف آپ کے رب کی جانب سے نازل کی گئی ہے یقیناً ان میں سے اکثر لوگوں کو (حسداً) سرکشی اور کفر میں بڑھا دے گی، سو آپ گروہِ کفار (کی حالت) پر افسوس نہ کیا کریں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say: "O People of the Book! ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord." It is the revelation that cometh to thee from thy Lord, that increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. But sorrow thou not over (these) people without Faith.
