1. [5:13] | Fabima naqdihim meethaqahumlaAAannahum wajaAAalna quloobahum qasiyatanyuharrifoona alkalima AAan mawadiAAihi wanasoo haththanmimma thukkiroo bihi wala tazalu tattaliAAuAAala kha-inatin minhum illa qaleelan minhumfaoAAfu AAanhum waisfah inna Allahayuhibbu almuhsineena
| فبما نقضهم ميثاقهم لعناهم وجعلنا قلوبهم قاسية يحرفون الكلم عن مواضعه ونسوا حظا مما ذكروا به ولا تزال تطلع على خائنة منهم إلا قليلا منهم فاعف عنهم واصفح إن الله يحب المحسنين فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِم مِّيثَاقَهُمْ لَعَنَّاهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَا قُلُوبَهُمْ قَاسِيَةً يُحَرِّفُونَ الْكَلِمَ عَن مَّوَاضِعِهِ وَنَسُواْ حَظًّا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُواْ بِهِ وَلاَ تَزَالُ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى خَآئِنَةٍ مِّنْهُمْ إِلاَّ قَلِيلاً مِّنْهُمْ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاصْفَحْ إِنَّ اللّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ |

Tahir ul Qadri | پھر ان کی اپنی عہد شکنی کی وجہ سے ہم نے ان پر لعنت کی (یعنی وہ ہماری رحمت سے محروم ہوگئے)، اور ہم نے ان کے دلوں کو سخت کر دیا (یعنی وہ ہدایت اور اثر پذیری سے محروم ہوگئے، چنانچہ) وہ لوگ (کتابِ الٰہی کے) کلمات کو ان کے (صحیح) مقامات سے بدل دیتے ہیں اور اس (رہنمائی) کا ایک (بڑا) حصہ بھول گئے ہیں جس کی انہیں نصیحت کی گئی تھی، اور آپ ہمیشہ ان کی کسی نہ کسی خیانت پر مطلع ہوتے رہیں گے سوائے ان میں سے چند ایک کے (جو ایمان لا چکے ہیں) سو آپ انہیں معاف فرما دیجئے اور درگزر فرمائیے، بیشک اﷲ احسان کرنے والوں کو پسند فرماتا ہے |
Yousuf Ali | But because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them, and made their hearts grow hard; they change the words from their (right) places and forget a good part of the message that was sent them, nor wilt thou cease to find them- barring a few - ever bent on (new) deceits: but forgive them, and overlook (their misdeeds): for Allah loveth those who are kind.
