| وإذا مس الإنسان ضر دعا ربه منيبا إليه ثم إذا خوله نعمة منه نسي ما كان يدعو إليه من قبل وجعل لله أندادا ليضل عن سبيله قل تمتع بكفرك قليلا إنك من أصحاب النار وَإِذَا مَسَّ الْإِنسَانَ ضُرٌّ دَعَا رَبَّهُ مُنِيبًا إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ إِذَا خَوَّلَهُ نِعْمَةً مِّنْهُ نَسِيَ مَا كَانَ يَدْعُواْ إِلَيْهِ مِن قَبْلُ وَجَعَلَ لِلَّهِ أَندَادًا لِّيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِ قُلْ تَمَتَّعْ بِكُفْرِكَ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّارِ |

Tahir ul Qadri | اور جب انسان کو کوئی تکلیف پہنچتی ہے تو وہ اپنے رب کو اسی کی طرف رجوع کرتے ہوئے پکارتا ہے پھر جب (اللہ) اُسے اپنی جانب سے کوئی نعمت بخش دیتا ہے تو وہ اُس (تکلیف) کو بھول جاتا ہے جس کے لئے وہ پہلے دعا کیا کرتا تھا اور (پھر) اللہ کے لئے (بتوں کو) شریک ٹھہرانے لگتا ہے تاکہ (دوسرے لوگوں کو بھی) اس کی راہ سے بھٹکا دے، فرما دیجئے: (اے کافر!) تو اپنے کُفر کے ساتھ تھوڑا سا (ظاہری) فائدہ اٹھا لے، تو بے شک دوزخیوں میں سے ہے |
Yousuf Ali | When some trouble toucheth man, he crieth unto his Lord, turning to Him in repentance: but when He bestoweth a favour upon him as from Himself, (man) doth forget what he cried and prayed for before, and he doth set up rivals unto Allah, thus misleading others from Allah's Path.
