Qala allatheena istakbaroolillatheena istudAAifoo anahnu sadadnakumAAani alhuda baAAda ith jaakum bal kuntummujrimeena قال الذين استكبروا للذين استضعفوا أنحن صددناكم عن الهدى بعد إذ جاءكم بل كنتم مجرمين
قَالَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا لِلَّذِينَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا أَنَحْنُ صَدَدْنَاكُمْ عَنِ الْهُدَى بَعْدَ إِذْ جَاءَكُم بَلْ كُنتُم مُّجْرِمِينَ

  متکبرّ لوگ کمزوروں سے کہیں گے: کیا ہم نے تمہیں ہدایت سے روکا اس کے بعد کہ وہ تمہارے پاس آچکی تھی، بلکہ تم خود ہی مُجرم تھے

Yousuf AliThe arrogant ones will say to those who had been despised: "Was it we who kept you back from Guidance after it reached you? Nay, rather, it was ye who transgressed.

Ahmed Aliجو لوگ بڑے بنتے تھے ان سے کہیں گے جو کمزور سمجھے جاتے تھے کیا ہم نے تمہیں ہدایت سے روکا تھا بعد اس کے کہ وہ تمہارے پاس آ چکی تھی بلکہ تم خود ہی مجرم تھے

George SaleThey who behaved themselves arrogantly shall say unto those who were esteemed weak, did we turn you aside from the true direction, after it had come unto you? On the contrary, ye acted wickedly of your own free choice.
JM RodwellThen shall the mighty ones say to the weak, "What! was it we who turned you aside from the guidance which had reached you? Nay, but ye acted wickedly yourselves."
Asad[And] those who were wont to glory in their arrogance will say unto those who had been weak: "Why - did we keep you [forcibly] from following the right path after it had become obvious to you? [Lit., "did we keep you away from guidance after it had come to you?"] Nay, it was but you [yourselves] who were guilty!"
Khalifa**The leaders will say to those who followed them, "Are we the ones who diverted you from the guidance after it came to you? No; it is you who were wicked."
Hilali/Khan**And those who were arrogant will say to those who were deemed weak: "Did we keep you back from guidance after it had come to you? Nay, but you were Mujrimoon (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disobedient to Allah, etc.).
QXP Shabbir Ahemd**The leaders will say to the weak commoners, "Why - did we drive you away from the Guidance when it had come to you? Nay, it is you who were guilty (of blind following)."
