Wawassayna al-insanabiwalidayhi hamalat-hu ommuhu wahnan AAalawahnin wafisaluhu fee AAamayni ani oshkur lee waliwalidaykailayya almaseeru ووصينا الإنسان بوالديه حملته أمه وهنا على وهن وفصاله في عامين أن اشكر لي ولوالديك إلي المصير
وَوَصَّيْنَا الْإِنسَانَ بِوَالِدَيْهِ حَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُ وَهْنًا عَلَى وَهْنٍ وَفِصَالُهُ فِي عَامَيْنِ أَنِ اشْكُرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيْكَ إِلَيَّ الْمَصِيرُ

  اور ہم نے انسان کو اس کے والدین کے بارے میں (نیکی کا) تاکیدی حکم فرمایا، جسے اس کی ماں تکلیف پر تکلیف کی حالت میں (اپنے پیٹ میں) برداشت کرتی رہی اور جس کا دودھ چھوٹنا بھی دو سال میں ہے (اسے یہ حکم دیا) کہ تو میرا (بھی) شکر ادا کر اور اپنے والدین کا بھی۔ (تجھے) میری ہی طرف لوٹ کر آنا ہے

Yousuf AliAnd We have enjoined on man (to be good) to his parents: in travail upon travail did his mother bear him, and in years twain was his weaning: (hear the command), "Show gratitude to Me and to thy parents: to Me is (thy final) Goal.

Ahmed Aliاور ہم نے انسان کو اس کے ماں باپ کے متعلق تاکید کی ہے اس کی ماں نے ضعف پر ضعف اٹھا کر اسے پیٹ میں رکھا اور دو برس میں اس کا دودھ چھڑانا ہے تو میری اور اپنے ماں باپ کی شکر گزاری کرے میری ہی طرف لوٹ کر آنا ہے
Ahmed Raza Khanاور ہم نے آدمی کو اس کے ماں باپ کے بارے میں تاکید فرمائی اس کی ماں نے اسے پیٹ میں رکھا کمزوری پر کمزوری جھیلتی ہوئی اور اس کا دودھ چھوٹنا دو برس میں ہے یہ کہ حق مان میرا اور اپنے ماں باپ کا آخر مجھی تک آنا ہے،
Shabbir Ahmed اور تاکید کی ہے ہم نے انسان کو اپنے والدین کا (حق پہچاننے کی) اٹھائے پھرتی ہے اس کو اس کی ماں ضعف پر ضعف کی حالت میں اور اس کا دودھ چھڑایا جاتا ہے دوسالوں میں، (نصیحت کی ہم نے اسے) کہ شکر گزار رہ میرا اور اپنے والدین کا۔ میری ہی طرف تجھے لوٹ کر آنا ہے۔
Fateh Muhammad Jalandharyاور ہم نے انسان کو جسے اُس کی ماں تکلیف پر تکلیف سہہ کر پیٹ میں اُٹھائے رکھتی ہے (پھر اس کو دودھ پلاتی ہے) اور (آخرکار) دو برس میں اس کا دودھ چھڑانا ہوتا ہے (اپنے نیز) اس کے ماں باپ کے بارے میں تاکید کی ہے کہ میرا بھی شکر کرتا رہ اور اپنے ماں باپ کا بھی (کہ تم کو) میری ہی طرف لوٹ کر آنا ہے
Mehmood Al Hassanاور ہم نے تاکید کر دی انسان کو اسکے ماں باپ کے واسطے پیٹ میں رکھا اس کو اسکی ماں نے تھک تھک کر اور دودھ چھڑانا ہے اس کا دو برس میں کہ حق مان میرا اور اپنے ماں باپ کا آخر مجھی تک آنا ہے
Abul Ala Maududiاور حقیقت یہ ہے کہ ہم نے انسان کو اپنے والدین کا حق پہچاننے کی خود تاکید کی ہے اُس کی ماں نے ضعف پر ضعف اُٹھا کر اسے اپنے پیٹ میں رکھا اور دو سال اُس کا دودھ چھوٹنے میں لگے (اِسی لیے ہم نے اُس کو نصیحت کی کہ) میرا شکر کر اور اپنے والدین کا شکر بجا لا، میری ہی طرف تجھے پلٹنا ہے

Khalifa**We enjoined the human being to honor his parents. His mother bore him, and the load got heavier and heavier. It takes two years (of intensive care) until weaning. You shall be appreciative of Me, and of your parents. To Me is the ultimate destiny.
