Inna allatheena kafaroo wamatoowahum kuffarun falan yuqbala min ahadihim miloal-ardi thahaban walawi iftada bihi ola-ikalahum AAathabun aleemun wama lahum min nasireena إن الذين كفروا وماتوا وهم كفار فلن يقبل من أحدهم ملء الأرض ذهبا ولو افتدى به أولئك لهم عذاب أليم وما لهم من ناصرين
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَمَاتُواْ وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ فَلَن يُقْبَلَ مِنْ أَحَدِهِم مِّلْءُ الْأَرْضِ ذَهَبًا وَلَوِ افْتَدَى بِهِ أُوْلَـئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن نَّاصِرِينَ

  بیشک جو لوگ کافر ہوئے اور حالتِ کفر میں ہی مر گئے سو ان میں سے کوئی شخص اگر زمین بھر سونا بھی (اپنی نجات کے لئے) معاوضہ میں دینا چاہے تو اس سے ہرگز قبول نہیں کیا جائے گا، انہی لوگوں کے لئے دردناک عذاب ہے اور ان کا کوئی مددگار نہیں ہو سکے گا

Yousuf AliAs to those who reject Faith, and die rejecting,- never would be accepted from any such as much gold as the earth contains, though they should offer it for ransom. For such is (in store) a penalty grievous, and they will find no helpers.

Ahmed Aliبے شک جو لوگ کافر ہوئے اور کفر کی حالت میں مر گئے تو کسی ایسے سے زمین بھر کر سونا بھی قبول نہیں کیا جائے گا اگرچہ وہ اس قدر سونا بدلے میں دے ان لوگوں کے لیے دردناک عذاب ہے اور ان کا کوئی مددگار نہیں ہوگا
Ahmed Raza Khanوہ جو کافر ہوئے اور کافر ہی مرے ان میں کسی سے زمین بھر سونا ہرگز قبول نہ کیا جائے گا اگرچہ اپنی خلاصی کو دے، ان کے لئے دردناک عذاب ہے اور ان کا کوئی یار نہیں۔
Shabbir Ahmed بیشک وہ لوگ جنہوں نے کفر اختیار کیا اور مرے بھی بحالتِ کفر، تو ہرگز نہیں قبول کیا جائے گا ان میں کسی سے زمین بھر سونا، اگرچہ وہ دے بطور فدیہ اسے۔ یہی لوگ ہیں کہ ہے ان کے لیے دردناک عذاب اور نہ ہوگا ان کے لیے کوئی مدد گار۔

Abul Ala Maududiیقین رکھو، جن لوگوں نے کفر اختیار کیا اور کفر ہی کی حالت میں جان دی اُن میں سے کوئی اگر اپنے آپ کو سزا سے بچانے کے لیے روئے زمین بھر کر بھی سونا فدیہ میں دے تو اُسے قبول نہ کیا جائے گا ایسے لوگوں کے لیے دردناک سزا تیار ہے اور و ہ اپنا کوئی مددگار نہ پائیں گے

SarwarFrom those who have rejected the truth and died in disbelief, no ransom will be accepted even though they may pay a whole earth of gold. They will suffer a painful torment and no one will help them.
H/K/SaheehIndeed, those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers never would the [whole] capacity of the earth in gold be accepted from one of them if he would [seek to] ransom himself with it. For those there will be a painful punishment, and they will have no helpers.
MalikAs to those who are unbelievers and die while they were unbelievers, if they were to fill the whole earth with gold and offer it as a ransom for each one of them, that would not be accepted. These are the ones who shall have the painful punishment, and shall have no helpers.[91]

Hilali/Khan**Verily, those who disbelieved, and died while they were disbelievers, the (whole) earth full of gold will not be accepted from anyone of them even if they offered it as a ransom. For them is a painful torment and they will have no helpers.
QXP Shabbir Ahemd**As for those who reject the Truth and die in that state, not the entire gold of the earth shall be accepted from them, if they could offer such ransom. They have incurred a painful doom upon themselves and there shall be no helpers for them.
