| ويستعجلونك بالعذاب ولولا أجل مسمى لجاءهم العذاب وليأتينهم بغتة وهم لا يشعرون وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالْعَذَابِ وَلَوْلَا أَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى لَّجَاءَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ وَلَيَأْتِيَنَّهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ |

Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہ لوگ آپ سے عذاب میں جلدی چاہتے ہیں، اور اگر (عذاب کا) وقت مقرر نہ ہوتا تو ان پر عذاب آچکا ہوتا، اور وہ (عذاب یا وقتِ عذاب) ضرور انہیں اچانک آپہنچے گا اور انہیں خبر بھی نہ ہوگی |
Yousuf Ali | They ask thee to hasten on the Punishment (for them): had it not been for a term (of respite) appointed, the Punishment would certainly have come to them: and it will certainly reach them,- of a sudden, while they perceive not!
