| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [29:29] | A-innakum lata/toona alrrijalawataqtaAAoona alssabeela wata/toona fee nadeekumualmunkara fama kana jawaba qawmihi illaan qaloo i/tina biAAathabi Allahi inkunta mina alssadiqeena |  أئنكم لتأتون الرجال وتقطعون السبيل وتأتون في ناديكم المنكر فما كان جواب قومه إلا أن قالوا ائتنا بعذاب الله إن كنت من الصادقينأَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ الرِّجَالَ وَتَقْطَعُونَ السَّبِيلَ وَتَأْتُونَ فِي نَادِيكُمُ الْمُنكَرَ فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِ إِلَّا أَن قَالُوا ائْتِنَا بِعَذَابِ اللَّهِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا تم (شہوت رانی کے لئے) مَردوں کے پاس جاتے ہو اور ڈاکہ زنی کرتے ہو اور اپنی (بھری) مجلس میں ناپسندیدہ کام کرتے ہو، تو ان کی قوم کا جواب (بھی) اس کے سوا کچھ نہ تھا کہ کہنے لگے: تم ہم پر اللہ کا عذاب لے آؤ اگر تم سچے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Do ye indeed approach men, and cut off the highway?- and practise wickedness (even) in your councils?" But his people gave no answer but this: they said: "Bring us the Wrath of Allah if thou tellest the truth."

| 2. [29:32] | Qala inna feeha lootanqaloo nahnu aAAlamu biman feehalanunajjiyannahu waahlahu illa imraatahu kanat minaalghabireena | قال إن فيها لوطا قالوا نحن أعلم بمن فيها لننجينه وأهله إلا امرأته كانت من الغابرين قَالَ إِنَّ فِيهَا لُوطًا قَالُوا نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن فِيهَا لَنُنَجِّيَنَّهُ وَأَهْلَهُ إِلَّا امْرَأَتَهُ كَانَتْ مِنَ الْغَابِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: اس (بستی) میں تو لوط (علیہ السلام بھی) ہیں، انہوں نے کہا: ہم ان لوگوں کوخوب جانتے ہیں جو (جو) اس میں (رہتے) ہیں ہم لوط (علیہ السلام) کو اور ان کے گھر والوں کو سوائے ان کی عورت کے ضرور بچالیں گے، وہ پیچھے رہ جانے والوں میں سے ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He said: "But there is Lut there." They said: "Well do we know who is there : we will certainly save him and his following,- except his wife: she is of those who lag behind!"

[29:33] | Walamma an jaat rusulunalootan see-a bihim wadaqa bihim tharAAan waqaloola takhaf wala tahzan inna munajjookawaahlaka illa imraataka kanat mina alghabireena | ولما أن جاءت رسلنا لوطا سيء بهم وضاق بهم ذرعا وقالوا لا تخف ولا تحزن إنا منجوك وأهلك إلا امرأتك كانت من الغابرين وَلَمَّا أَن جَاءَتْ رُسُلُنَا لُوطًا سِيءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعًا وَقَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ وَلَا تَحْزَنْ إِنَّا مُنَجُّوكَ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلَّا امْرَأَتَكَ كَانَتْ مِنَ الْغَابِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جب ہمارے بھیجے ہوئے (فرشتے) لوط (علیہ السلام) کے پاس آئے تو وہ ان (کے آنے) سے رنجیدہ ہوئے اور ان کے (ارادۂ عذاب کے) باعث نڈھال سے ہوگئے اور (فرشتوں نے) کہا: آپ نہ خوفزدہ ہوں اور نہ غم زدہ ہوں، بیشک ہم آپ کو اور آپ کے گھر والوں کو بچانے والے ہیں سوائے آپ کی عورت کے وہ (عذاب کے لئے) پیچھے رہ جانے والوں میں سے ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And when Our Messengers came to Lut, he was grieved on their account, and felt himself powerless (to protect) them: but they said: "Fear thou not, nor grieve: we are (here) to save thee and thy following, except thy wife: she is of those who lag behind.

| 4. [29:34] | Inna munziloona AAala ahli hathihialqaryati rijzan mina alssama-i bima kanooyafsuqoona | إنا منزلون على أهل هذه القرية رجزا من السماء بما كانوا يفسقون إِنَّا مُنْزِلُونَ عَلَى أَهْلِ هَذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ رِجْزًا مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْسُقُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک ہم اس بستی کے باشندوں پر آسمان سے عذاب نازل کرنے والے ہیں اس وجہ سے کہ وہ نافرمانی کیا کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "For we are going to bring down on the people of this township a Punishment from heaven, because they have been wickedly rebellious."

| 5. [29:35] | Walaqad tarakna minha ayatanbayyinatan liqawmin yaAAqiloona | ولقد تركنا منها آية بينة لقوم يعقلون وَلَقَد تَّرَكْنَا مِنْهَا آيَةً بَيِّنَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بیشک ہم نے اس بستی سے (ویران مکانوں کو) ایک واضح نشانی کے طور پر عقل مند لوگوں کے لئے برقرار رکھا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And We have left thereof an evident Sign, for any people who (care to) understand.

| Words | |ولقد - And verily,| تركنا - We have left| منها - about it| آية - a sign,| بينة - (as) evidence| لقوم - for a people| يعقلون - who use reason.| | ||||||

[29:36] | Wa-ila madyana akhahumshuAAayban faqala ya qawmi oAAbudoo Allahawaorjoo alyawma al-akhira wala taAAthaw feeal-ardi mufsideena | وإلى مدين أخاهم شعيبا فقال يا قوم اعبدوا الله وارجوا اليوم الآخر ولا تعثوا في الأرض مفسدين وَإِلَى مَدْيَنَ أَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْبًا فَقَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَارْجُوا الْيَوْمَ الْآخِرَ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور مَدیَن کی طرف ان کے (قومی) بھائی شعیب (علیہ السلام) کو (بھیجا)، سو انہوں نے کہا: اے میری قوم! اللہ کی عبادت کرو اور یومِ آخرت کی امید رکھو اور زمین میں فساد انگیزی نہ کرتے پھرو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | To the Madyan (people) (We sent) their brother Shu'aib. Then he said: "O my people! serve Allah, and fear the Last Day: nor commit evil on the earth, with intent to do mischief."

| Words | |وإلى - And to| مدين - Madyan| أخاهم - their brother| شعيبا - Shuaib.| فقال - And he said,| يا - O| قوم - "O my people!| اعبدوا - Worship| الله - Allah| وارجوا - and expect| اليوم - the Day| الآخر - the Last,| ولا - and (do) not| تعثوا - commit evil| في - in| الأرض - the earth| مفسدين - (as) corrupters."| | ||||||
| 7. [29:37] | Fakaththaboohu faakhathat-humualrrajfatu faasbahoo fee darihim jathimeena | فكذبوه فأخذتهم الرجفة فأصبحوا في دارهم جاثمين فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الرَّجْفَةُ فَأَصْبَحُوا فِي دَارِهِمْ جَاثِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | تو انہوں نے شعیب (علیہ السلام) کو جھٹلا ڈالا پس انہیں (بھی) زلزلہ (کے عذاب) نے آپکڑا، سو انہوں نے صبح اس حال میں کی کہ اپنے گھروں میں اوندھے منہ (مُردہ) پڑے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But they rejected him: Then the mighty Blast seized them, and they lay prostrate in their homes by the morning.

| Words | |فكذبوه - But they denied him,| فأخذتهم - so seized them| الرجفة - the earthquake,| فأصبحوا - and they became| في - in| دارهم - their home| جاثمين - fallen prone.| | ||||||
| 8. [29:38] | WaAAadan wathamooda waqad tabayyanalakum min masakinihim wazayyana lahumu alshshaytanuaAAmalahum fasaddahum AAani alssabeeli wakanoomustabsireena | وعادا وثمود وقد تبين لكم من مساكنهم وزين لهم الشيطان أعمالهم فصدهم عن السبيل وكانوا مستبصرين وَعَادًا وَثَمُودَ وَقَد تَّبَيَّنَ لَكُم مِّن مَّسَاكِنِهِمْ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ فَصَدَّهُمْ عَنِ السَّبِيلِ وَكَانُوا مُسْتَبْصِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور عاد اور ثمود کو (بھی ہم نے ہلاک کیا) اور بیشک ان کے کچھ (تباہ شدہ) مکانات تمہارے لیئے (بطورِ عبرت) ظاہر ہو چکے ہیں اور شیطان نے ان کے اَعمالِ بد، ان کے لئے خوش نما بنا دیئے تھے اورانہیں (حق کی) راہ سے پھیر دیا تھا حالانکہ وہ بینا و دانا تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (Remember also) the 'Ad and the Thamud (people): clearly will appear to you from (the traces) of their buildings (their fate): the Evil One made their deeds alluring to them, and kept them back from the Path, though they were gifted with intelligence and skill.

| Words | |وعادا - And Aad| وثمود - and Thamud,| وقد - and verily,| تبين - (has) become clear| لكم - to you| من - from| مساكنهم - their dwellings.| وزين - And made fair-seeming| لهم - to them| الشيطان - the Shaitaan| أعمالهم - their deeds| فصدهم - and averted them| عن - from| السبيل - the Way,| وكانوا - though they were| مستبصرين - endowed with insight.| | ||||||
| 9. [29:39] | Waqaroona wafirAAawna wahamanawalaqad jaahum moosa bialbayyinati faistakbaroofee al-ardi wama kanoo sabiqeena | وقارون وفرعون وهامان ولقد جاءهم موسى بالبينات فاستكبروا في الأرض وما كانوا سابقين وَقَارُونَ وَفِرْعَوْنَ وَهَامَانَ وَلَقَدْ جَاءَهُم مُّوسَى بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا كَانُوا سَابِقِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (ہم نے) قارون اور فرعون اور ہامان کو (بھی ہلاک کیا) اور بیشک موسٰی (علیہ السلام) ان کے پاس واضح نشانیاں لے کر آئے تھے تو انہوں نے ملک میں غرور و سرکشی کی اور وہ (ہماری گرفت سے) آگے بڑھ جانے والے نہ تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (Remember also) Qarun, Pharaoh, and Haman: there came to them Moses with Clear Signs, but they behaved with insolence on the earth; yet they could not overreach (Us).

| Words | |وقارون - And Qarun,| وفرعون - and Firaun| وهامان - and Haman.| ولقد - And certainly| جاءهم - came to them| موسى - Musa| بالبينات - with clear evidences,| فاستكبروا - but they were arrogant| في - in| الأرض - the earth,| وما - and not| كانوا - they could| سابقين - outstrip Us.| | ||||||
| 10. [29:40] | Fakullan akhathna bithanbihifaminhum man arsalna AAalayhi hasiban waminhum manakhathat-hu alssayhatu waminhum mankhasafna bihi al-arda waminhum man aghraqnawama kana Allahu liyathlimahumwalakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoona | فكلا أخذنا بذنبه فمنهم من أرسلنا عليه حاصبا ومنهم من أخذته الصيحة ومنهم من خسفنا به الأرض ومنهم من أغرقنا وما كان الله ليظلمهم ولكن كانوا أنفسهم يظلمون فَكُلًّا أَخَذْنَا بِذَنبِهِ فَمِنْهُم مَّنْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ حَاصِبًا وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ أَخَذَتْهُ الصَّيْحَةُ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ خَسَفْنَا بِهِ الْأَرْضَ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ أَغْرَقْنَا وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَكِن كَانُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | سو ہم نے (ان میں سے) ہر ایک کو اس کے گناہ کے باعث پکڑ لیا، اور ان میں سے وہ (طبقہ بھی) تھا جس پر ہم نے پتھر برسانے والی آندھی بھیجی اوران میں سے وہ (طبقہ بھی) تھا جسے دہشت ناک آواز نے آپکڑا اور ان میں سے وہ (طبقہ بھی) تھا جسے ہم نے زمین میں دھنسا دیا اور ان میں سے (ایک) وہ (طبقہ بھی) تھا جسے ہم نے غرق کر دیا اور ہرگز ایسا نہ تھا کہ اللہ ان پر ظلم کرے بلکہ وہ خود ہی اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Each one of them We seized for his crime: of them, against some We sent a violent tornado (with showers of stones); some were caught by a (mighty) Blast; some We caused the earth to swallow up; and some We drowned (in the waters): It was not Allah Who injured (or oppressed) them:" They injured (and oppressed) their own souls.

[29:41] | Mathalu allatheena ittakhathoomin dooni Allahi awliyaa kamathali alAAankabootiittakhathat baytan wa-inna awhana albuyooti labaytualAAankabooti law kanoo yaAAlamoona | مثل الذين اتخذوا من دون الله أولياء كمثل العنكبوت اتخذت بيتا وإن أوهن البيوت لبيت العنكبوت لو كانوا يعلمون مَثَلُ الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ كَمَثَلِ الْعَنكَبُوتِ اتَّخَذَتْ بَيْتًا وَإِنَّ أَوْهَنَ الْبُيُوتِ لَبَيْتُ الْعَنكَبُوتِ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ایسے (کافر) لوگوں کی مثال جنہوں نے اللہ کو چھوڑ کر اوروں (یعنی بتوں) کو کارساز بنا لیا ہے مکڑی کی داستان جیسی ہے جس نے (اپنے لئے جالے کا) گھر بنایا، اور بیشک سب گھروں سے زیادہ کمزور مکڑی کا گھر ہے، کاش! وہ لوگ (یہ بات) جانتے ہوتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The parable of those who take protectors other than Allah is that of the spider, who builds (to itself) a house; but truly the flimsiest of houses is the spider's house;- if they but knew.

| 12. [29:42] | Inna Allaha yaAAlamu mayadAAoona min doonihi min shay-in wahuwa alAAazeezu alhakeemu | إن الله يعلم ما يدعون من دونه من شيء وهو العزيز الحكيم إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ مِن شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک اللہ ان (بتوں کی حقیقت) کو جانتا ہے جن کی بھی وہ اس کے سوا پوجا کرتے ہیں، اور وہی غالب ہے حکمت والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Verily Allah doth know of (every thing) whatever that they call upon besides Him: and He is Exalted (in power), Wise.

| 13. [29:43] | Watilka al-amthalu nadribuhalilnnasi wama yaAAqiluha illaalAAalimoona | وتلك الأمثال نضربها للناس وما يعقلها إلا العالمون وَتِلْكَ الْأَمْثَالُ نَضْرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ وَمَا يَعْقِلُهَا إِلَّا الْعَالِمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہ مثالیں ہیں ہم انہیں لوگوں (کے سمجھانے) کے لئے بیان کرتے ہیں، اور انہیں اہلِ علم کے سوا کوئی نہیں سمجھتا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And such are the Parables We set forth for mankind, but only those understand them who have knowledge.

| Words | |وتلك - And these| الأمثال - examples| نضربها - We set forth| للناس - to mankind,| وما - but not| يعقلها - will understand them| إلا - except| العالمون - those of knowledge.| | ||||||
| 14. [29:44] | Khalaqa Allahu alssamawatiwaal-arda bialhaqqi inna fee thalikalaayatan lilmu-mineena | خلق الله السماوات والأرض بالحق إن في ذلك لآية للمؤمنين خَلَقَ اللَّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اللہ نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو درست تدبیر کے ساتھ پیدا فرمایا ہے، بیشک اس (تخلیق) میں اہلِ ایمان کے لئے (اس کی وحدانیت اور قدرت کی) نشانی ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Allah created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): verily in that is a Sign for those who believe.

| 15. [29:48] | Wama kunta tatloo min qablihi min kitabinwala takhuttuhu biyameenika ithan lairtabaalmubtiloona | وما كنت تتلو من قبله من كتاب ولا تخطه بيمينك إذا لارتاب المبطلون وَمَا كُنتَ تَتْلُواْ مِن قَبْلِهِ مِن كِتَابٍ وَلَا تَخُطُّهُ بِيَمِينِكَ إِذًا لَّارْتَابَ الْمُبْطِلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (اے حبیب!) اس سے پہلے آپ کوئی کتاب نہیں پڑھا کرتے تھے اور نہ ہی آپ اسے اپنے ہاتھ سے لکھتے تھے ورنہ اہلِ باطل اسی وقت ضرور شک میں پڑ جاتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And thou wast not (able) to recite a Book before this (Book came), nor art thou (able) to transcribe it with thy right hand: In that case, indeed, would the talkers of vanities have doubted.

[29:45] | Otlu ma oohiya ilayka minaalkitabi waaqimi alssalata inna alssalatatanha AAani alfahsha-i waalmunkariwalathikru Allahi akbaru waAllahuyaAAlamu ma tasnaAAoona | اتل ما أوحي إليك من الكتاب وأقم الصلاة إن الصلاة تنهى عن الفحشاء والمنكر ولذكر الله أكبر والله يعلم ما تصنعون اتْلُ مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ تَنْهَى عَنِ الْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنكَرِ وَلَذِكْرُ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَصْنَعُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (اے حبیبِ مکرّم!) آپ وہ کتاب پڑھ کر سنائیے جو آپ کی طرف (بذریعہ) وحی بھیجی گئی ہے، اور نماز قائم کیجئے، بیشک نماز بے حیائی اور برائی سے روکتی ہے، اور واقعی اﷲ کا ذکر سب سے بڑا ہے، اور اﷲ ان (کاموں) کو جانتا ہے جو تم کرتے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Recite what is sent of the Book by inspiration to thee, and establish regular Prayer: for Prayer restrains from shameful and unjust deeds; and remembrance of Allah is the greatest (thing in life) without doubt. And Allah knows the (deeds) that ye do.

[29:49] | Bal huwa ayatun bayyinatunfee sudoori allatheena ootoo alAAilma wamayajhadu bi-ayatina illa alththalimoona | بل هو آيات بينات في صدور الذين أوتوا العلم وما يجحد بآياتنا إلا الظالمون بَلْ هُوَ آيَاتٌ بَيِّنَاتٌ فِي صُدُورِ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِآيَاتِنَا إِلَّا الظَّالِمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بلکہ وہ (قرآن ہی کی) واضح آیتیں ہیں جو ان لوگوں کے سینوں میں (محفوظ) ہیں جنہیں (صحیح) علم عطا کیا گیا ہے، اور ظالموں کے سوا ہماری آیتوں کا کوئی انکار نہیں کرتا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Nay, here are Signs self-evident in the hearts of those endowed with knowledge: and none but the unjust reject Our Signs.

[29:46] | Wala tujadiloo ahla alkitabiilla biallatee hiya ahsanu illa allatheenathalamoo minhum waqooloo amanna biallatheeonzila ilayna waonzila ilaykum wa-ilahunawa-ilahukum wahidun wanahnu lahu muslimoona | ولا تجادلوا أهل الكتاب إلا بالتي هي أحسن إلا الذين ظلموا منهم وقولوا آمنا بالذي أنزل إلينا وأنزل إليكم وإلهنا وإلهكم واحد ونحن له مسلمون وَلَا تُجَادِلُوا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ إِلَّا بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ إِلَّا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْهُمْ وَقُولُوا آمَنَّا بِالَّذِي أُنزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَأُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ وَإِلَهُنَا وَإِلَهُكُمْ وَاحِدٌ وَنَحْنُ لَهُ مُسْلِمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (اے مومنو!) اہلِ کتاب سے نہ جھگڑا کرو مگر ایسے طریقہ سے جو بہتر ہو سوائے ان لوگوں کے جنہوں نے ان میں سے ظلم کیا، اور (ان سے) کہہ دو کہ ہم اس (کتاب) پر ایمان لائے (ہیں) جو ہماری طرف اتاری گئی (ہے) اور جو تمہاری طرف اتاری گئی تھی، اور ہمارا معبود اور تمہارا معبود ایک ہی ہے، اور ہم اسی کے فرمانبردار ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And dispute ye not with the People of the Book, except with means better (than mere disputation), unless it be with those of them who inflict wrong (and injury): but say, "We believe in the revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you; Our Allah and your Allah is one; and it is to Him we bow (in Islam)."

[29:50] | Waqaloo lawla onzila AAalayhi ayatunmin rabbihi qul innama al-ayatu AAinda Allahiwa-innama ana natheerun mubeenun | وقالوا لولا أنزل عليه آيات من ربه قل إنما الآيات عند الله وإنما أنا نذير مبين وَقَالُوا لَوْلَا أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ آيَاتٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِ قُلْ إِنَّمَا الْآيَاتُ عِندَ اللَّهِ وَإِنَّمَا أَنَا نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور کفّار کہتے ہیں کہ اِن پر (یعنی نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم پر) ان کے رب کی طرف سے نشانیاں کیوں نہیں اتاری گئیں، آپ فرما دیجئے کہ نشانیاں تو اﷲ ہی کے پاس ہیں اور میں تو محض صریح ڈر سنانے والا ہوں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Ye they say: "Why are not Signs sent down to him from his Lord?" Say: "The signs are indeed with Allah: and I am indeed a clear Warner."

| Words | |وقالوا - And they say,| لولا - "Why not| أنزل - are sent down| عليه - to him| آيات - (the) Signs| من - from| ربه - his Lord?"| قل - Say,| إنما - "Only| الآيات - the Signs| عند - (are) with| الله - Allah,| وإنما - and only| أنا - I (am)| نذير - a warner| مبين - clear."| | ||||||

[29:47] | Wakathalika anzalna ilaykaalkitaba faallatheena ataynahumualkitaba yu/minoona bihi wamin haola-i manyu/minu bihi wama yajhadu bi-ayatinailla alkafiroona | وكذلك أنزلنا إليك الكتاب فالذين آتيناهم الكتاب يؤمنون به ومن هؤلاء من يؤمن به وما يجحد بآياتنا إلا الكافرون وَكَذَلِكَ أَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ فَالَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ وَمِنْ هَؤُلَاءِ مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِهِ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِآيَاتِنَا إِلَّا الْكَافِرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اسی طرح ہم نے آپ کی طرف کتاب اتاری، تو جن (حق شناس) لوگوں کو ہم نے (پہلے سے) کتاب عطا کر رکھی تھی وہ اس (کتاب) پر ایمان لاتے ہیں، اور اِن (اہلِ مکّہ) میں سے (بھی) ایسے ہیں جو اس پر ایمان لاتے ہیں، اور ہماری آیتوں کا اِنکار کافروں کے سوا کوئی نہیں کرتا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And thus (it is) that We have sent down the Book to thee. So the People of the Book believe therein, as also do some of these (pagan Arabs): and none but Unbelievers reject our signs.

[29:51] | Awa lam yakfihim anna anzalnaAAalayka alkitaba yutla AAalayhim inna fee thalikalarahmatan wathikra liqawmin yu/minoona | أولم يكفهم أنا أنزلنا عليك الكتاب يتلى عليهم إن في ذلك لرحمة وذكرى لقوم يؤمنون أَوَلَمْ يَكْفِهِمْ أَنَّا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ يُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَرَحْمَةً وَذِكْرَى لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | کیا ان کے لئے یہ (نشانی) کافی نہیں ہے کہ ہم نے آپ پر (وہ) کتاب نازل فرمائی ہے جو ان پر پڑھی جاتی ہے (یا ہمیشہ پڑھی جاتی رہے گی)، بیشک اس (کتاب) میں رحمت اور نصیحت ہے ان لوگوں کے لئے جو ایمان رکھتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And is it not enough for them that we have sent down to thee the Book which is rehearsed to them? Verily, in it is Mercy and a Reminder to those who believe.

[29:52] | Qul kafa biAllahibaynee wabaynakum shaheedan yaAAlamu ma fee alssamawatiwaal-ardi waallatheena amanoobialbatili wakafaroo biAllahi ola-ikahumu alkhasiroona | قل كفى بالله بيني وبينكم شهيدا يعلم ما في السماوات والأرض والذين آمنوا بالباطل وكفروا بالله أولئك هم الخاسرون قُلْ كَفَى بِاللَّهِ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ شَهِيدًا يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِالْبَاطِلِ وَكَفَرُوا بِاللَّهِ أُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | آپ فرما دیجئے: میرے اور تمہارے درمیان اﷲ ہی گواہ کافی ہے۔ وہ جو کچھ آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہے (سب کا حال) جانتا ہے، اور جو لوگ باطل پر ایمان لائے اور اﷲ کا انکار کیا وہی نقصان اٹھانے والے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say: "Enough is Allah for a witness between me and you: He knows what is in the heavens and on earth. And it is those who believe in vanities and reject Allah, that will perish (in the end).

[29:53] | WayastaAAjiloonaka bialAAathabiwalawla ajalun musamman lajaahumu alAAathabuwalaya/tiyannahum baghtatan wahum la yashAAuroona | ويستعجلونك بالعذاب ولولا أجل مسمى لجاءهم العذاب وليأتينهم بغتة وهم لا يشعرون وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالْعَذَابِ وَلَوْلَا أَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى لَّجَاءَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ وَلَيَأْتِيَنَّهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور یہ لوگ آپ سے عذاب میں جلدی چاہتے ہیں، اور اگر (عذاب کا) وقت مقرر نہ ہوتا تو ان پر عذاب آچکا ہوتا، اور وہ (عذاب یا وقتِ عذاب) ضرور انہیں اچانک آپہنچے گا اور انہیں خبر بھی نہ ہوگی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They ask thee to hasten on the Punishment (for them): had it not been for a term (of respite) appointed, the Punishment would certainly have come to them: and it will certainly reach them,- of a sudden, while they perceive not!

| Words | |ويستعجلونك - And they ask you to hasten| بالعذاب - [with] the punishment.| ولولا - And if not| أجل - (for) a term| مسمى - appointed,| لجاءهم - surely (would) have come to them| العذاب - the punishment.| وليأتينهم - But it will surely come to them| بغتة - suddenly| وهم - while they| لا - (do) not| يشعرون - perceive.| | ||||||
| 24. [29:54] | YastaAAjiloonaka bialAAathabiwa-inna jahannama lamuheetatun bialkafireena | يستعجلونك بالعذاب وإن جهنم لمحيطة بالكافرين يَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالْعَذَابِ وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمُحِيطَةٌ بِالْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | یہ لوگ آپ سے عذاب جلد طلب کرتے ہیں، اور بیشک دوزخ کافروں کو گھیر لینے والی ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They ask thee to hasten on the Punishment: but, of a surety, Hell will encompass the Rejecters of Faith!-

| Words | |يستعجلونك - They ask you to hasten| بالعذاب - the punishment.| وإن - And indeed,| جهنم - Hell,| لمحيطة - will surely, encompass| بالكافرين - the disbelievers| | ||||||

[29:55] | Yawma yaghshahumu alAAathabumin fawqihim wamin tahti arjulihim wayaqoolu thooqooma kuntum taAAmaloona | يوم يغشاهم العذاب من فوقهم ومن تحت أرجلهم ويقول ذوقوا ما كنتم تعملون يَوْمَ يَغْشَاهُمُ الْعَذَابُ مِن فَوْقِهِمْ وَمِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِهِمْ وَيَقُولُ ذُوقُوا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | جس دن عذاب انہیں ان کے اوپر سے اور ان کے پاؤں کے نیچے سے ڈھانپ لے گا تو ارشاد ہوگا: تم ان کاموں کا مزہ چکھو جو تم کرتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | On the Day that the Punishment shall cover them from above them and from below them, and (a Voice) shall say: "Taste ye (the fruits) of your deeds!"

| 26. [29:56] | Ya AAibadiya allatheenaamanoo inna ardee wasiAAatun fa-iyyayafaoAAbudooni | يا عبادي الذين آمنوا إن أرضي واسعة فإياي فاعبدون يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ أَرْضِي وَاسِعَةٌ فَإِيَّايَ فَاعْبُدُونِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اے میرے بندو! جو ایمان لے آئے ہو بیشک میری زمین کشادہ ہے سو تم میری ہی عبادت کرو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | O My servants who believe! truly, spacious is My Earth: therefore serve ye Me - (and Me alone)!

| Words | |يا - O| عبادي - O My servants| الذين - who| آمنوا - believe!| إن - Indeed,| أرضي - My earth| واسعة - (is) spacious,| فإياي - so only| فاعبدون - worship Me.| | ||||||
| 27. [29:57] | Kullu nafsin tha-iqatu almawti thummailayna turjaAAoona | كل نفس ذائقة الموت ثم إلينا ترجعون كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ ثُمَّ إِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ہر جان موت کا مزہ چکھنے والی ہے، پھر تم ہماری ہی طرف لوٹائے جاؤ گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Every soul shall have a taste of death in the end to Us shall ye be brought back.

| Words | |كل - Every| نفس - soul| ذائقة - (will) taste| الموت - the death.| ثم - Then| إلينا - to Us| ترجعون - you will be returned.| | ||||||

[29:58] | Waallatheena amanoowaAAamiloo alssalihati lanubawwi-annahummina aljannati ghurafan tajree min tahtiha al-anharukhalideena feeha niAAma ajru alAAamileena | والذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات لنبوئنهم من الجنة غرفا تجري من تحتها الأنهار خالدين فيها نعم أجر العاملين وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَنُبَوِّئَنَّهُم مِّنَ الْجَنَّةِ غُرَفًا تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا نِعْمَ أَجْرُ الْعَامِلِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور نیک اعمال کرتے رہے ہم انہیں ضرور جنت کے بالائی محلّات میں جگہ دیں گے جن کے نیچے سے نہریں بہہ رہی ہوں گی وہ ان میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے، یہ عملِ (صالح) کرنے والوں کا کیا ہی اچھا اجر ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But those who believe and work deeds of righteousness - to them shall We give a Home in Heaven,- lofty mansions beneath which flow rivers,- to dwell therein for aye;- an excellent reward for those who do (good)!-

| Words | |والذين - And those who| آمنوا - believe| وعملوا - and do| الصالحات - [the] righteous deeds,| لنبوئنهم - surely We will give them a place| من - in| الجنة - Paradise| غرفا - lofty dwellings,| تجري - flow| من - from| تحتها - underneath it| الأنهار - the rivers,| خالدين - will abide forever| فيها - in it.| نعم - Excellent is| أجر - (the) reward| العاملين - (of) the workers| | ||||||
| 29. [29:59] | Allatheena sabaroo waAAalarabbihim yatawakkaloona | الذين صبروا وعلى ربهم يتوكلون الَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (یہ وہ لوگ ہیں) جنہوں نے صبر کیا اور اپنے رب پر ہی توکّل کرتے رہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Those who persevere in patience, and put their trust, in their Lord and Cherisher.
| ||||||
| Words | |الذين - Those who| صبروا - (are) patient| وعلى - and upon| ربهم - their Lord| يتوكلون - put their trust.| | ||||||
| 30. [29:60] | Wakaayyin min dabbatin la tahmilurizqaha Allahu yarzuquha wa-iyyakumwahuwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu | وكأين من دابة لا تحمل رزقها الله يرزقها وإياكم وهو السميع العليم وَكَأَيِّن مِن دَابَّةٍ لَا تَحْمِلُ رِزْقَهَا اللَّهُ يَرْزُقُهَا وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور کتنے ہی جانور ہیں جو اپنی روزی (اپنے ساتھ) نہیں اٹھائے پھرتے، اﷲ انہیں بھی رزق عطا کرتا ہے اور تمہیں بھی، اور وہ خوب سننے والا جاننے والا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | How many are the creatures that carry not their own sustenance? It is Allah who feeds (both) them and you: for He hears and knows (all things).

| Words | |وكأين - And how many| من - of| دابة - a creature| لا - (does) not| تحمل - carry| رزقها - its provision.| الله - Allah| يرزقها - provides (for) it| وإياكم - and (for) you.| وهو - And He| السميع - (is) the All-Hearer,| العليم - the All-Knower.| | ||||||
