Waan alqi AAasaka falamma raahatahtazzu kaannaha jannun walla mudbiranwalam yuAAaqqib ya moosa aqbil wala takhafinnaka mina al-amineena وأن ألق عصاك فلما رآها تهتز كأنها جان ولى مدبرا ولم يعقب يا موسى أقبل ولا تخف إنك من الآمنين
وَأَنْ أَلْقِ عَصَاكَ فَلَمَّا رَآهَا تَهْتَزُّ كَأَنَّهَا جَانٌّ وَلَّى مُدْبِرًا وَلَمْ يُعَقِّبْ يَا مُوسَى أَقْبِلْ وَلَا تَخَفْ إِنَّكَ مِنَ الْآمِنِينَ

  اور یہ کہ اپنی لاٹھی (زمین پر) ڈال دو، پھر جب موسٰی (علیہ السلام) نے اسے دیکھا کہ وہ تیز لہراتی تڑپتی ہوئی حرکت کر رہی ہے گویا وہ سانپ ہو، تو پیٹھ پھیر کر چل پڑے اور پیچھے مڑ کر نہ دیکھا، (ندا آئی:) اے موسٰی! سامنے آؤ اور خوف نہ کرو، بیشک تم امان یافتہ لوگوں میں سے ہو

Ahmed Aliاور یہ کہ اپنی لاٹھی ڈال دے پھر جب اسے دیکھا کہ سانپ کی طرح لہرا رہا ہے تو منہ پھیر کر الٹا بھاگا اور پیچھے مڑ کر نہ دیکھا اے موسیٰ! سامنے آ اور ڈر نہیں بے شک تو امن والوں سے ہے
Ahmed Raza Khanاور یہ کہ ڈال دے اپنا عصا پھر جب موسیٰ نے اسے دیکھا لہراتا ہوا گویا سانپ ہے پیٹھ پھیر کر چلا اور مڑ کر نہ دیکھا اے موسیٰ سامنے آ اور ڈر نہیں، بیشک تجھے امان ہے
Shabbir Ahmed اور یہ بھی (ارشاد ہُوا) کہ پھینکو اپنی لاٹھی سو جب دیکھا اسے لہراتا ہُوا گویا کہ وہ سانپ ہے تو بھاگ اُٹھے موسیٰ پیٹھ موڑکر اور مڑکر بھی نہ دیکھا (ارشاد ہُوا) اے موسیٰ! آگے بڑھو اور نہ ڈرو یقینا تم محفوظ ہو۔
Fateh Muhammad Jalandharyاور یہ کہ اپنی لاٹھی ڈالدو۔ جب دیکھا کہ وہ حرکت کر رہی ہے گویا سانپ ہے، تو پیٹھ پھیر کر چل دیئے اور پیچھے پھر کر بھی نہ دیکھا۔ (ہم نے کہا کہ) موسٰی آگے آؤ اور ڈرومت تم امن پانے والوں میں ہو
Mehmood Al Hassanاور یہ کہ ڈالدے اپنی لاٹھی پھر جب دیکھا اسکو پھنپناتے جیسے سانپ کی سٹک الٹا پھرا منہ موڑ کر اور نہ دیکھا پیچھے پھر کر اے موسٰی آگے آ اور مت ڈر تجھ کو کچھ خطرہ نہیں
Abul Ala Maududiاور (حکم دیا گیا کہ) پھینک دے اپنی لاٹھی جونہی کہ موسیٰؑ نے دیکھا کہ وہ لاٹھی سانپ کی طرح بل کھا رہی ہے تو وہ پیٹھ پھیر کر بھاگا اور اس نے مڑ کر بھی نہ دیکھا (ارشاد ہوا) "موسیٰؑ، پلٹ آ اور خوف نہ کر، تو بالکل محفوظ ہے

Arberry 'Cast down thy staff.' And when he saw it quivering like a serpent, he turned about retreating, and turned not back. 'Moses, come forward, and fear not; for surely thou art in security.'
ShakirAnd saying: Cast down you staff. So when he saw it in motion as if it were a serpent, he turned back retreating, and did not return. O Musa! come forward and fear not; surely you are of those who are secure;
SarwarThrow down your staff." When Moses saw his staff moving on the ground like a living being he fled with no desire to step forward. He was told, "Moses, step forward. Do not be afraid; you will be safe and secure.
H/K/SaheehAnd [he was told], Throw down your staff. But when he saw it writhing as if it was a snake, he turned in flight and did not return. [Allah said], O Moses, approach and fear not. Indeed, you are of the secure.
Malik0 Then Allah commanded, "Throw down your staff." When Moses saw that the staff was writhing like a snake, he turned his back and fled, and did not even look behind. Allah said, "O Moses, come back and do not fear; you are quite safe.[31]

Qaribullah Cast down your staff. ' And when he saw his staff writhing as though it were a serpent, he turned about in retreat, and did not turn back. 'O Moses, approach and have no fear. You are surely safe.

[The miracle of the staff has, possibly, a symbolic significance: see surah 20:21.] [And God spoke to him again:] "O Moses! Draw near, and have no fear - for, behold, thou art of those who are secure [in this world and in the next]! [Cf. 27:10 - "no fear need the message-bearers have in My Presence".]

QXP Shabbir Ahemd**(God said), "Rehearse your supporting power of Truth." Moses felt as if the mission assigned to him was like holding a huge dragon, and he retreated hesitating. (See (27:10) 'kannaha jann' -'as if it was a dragon, applies to the living Truth as well as to the great mission). We said, "O Moses! Draw near (to conviction), and fear not - for, behold, you are secure from harm." (7:107-108), (20:17-24), (26:32-33), (27:10-12).
