Watafaqqada alttayra faqalama liya la ara alhudhuda am kana minaalgha-ibeena وتفقد الطير فقال ما لي لا أرى الهدهد أم كان من الغائبين
وَتَفَقَّدَ الطَّيْرَ فَقَالَ مَا لِيَ لَا أَرَى الْهُدْهُدَ أَمْ كَانَ مِنَ الْغَائِبِينَ

  اور سلیمان (علیہ السلام) نے پرندوں کا جائزہ لیا تو کہنے لگے: مجھے کیا ہوا ہے کہ میں ہدہد کو نہیں دیکھ پا رہا یا وہ (واقعی) غائب ہو گیا ہے

Ahmed Aliاور پرندوں کی حاضری لی تو کہا کیا بات ہے جو میں ہُد ہُد کو نہیں دیکھتا کیا وہ غیر حاضر ہے
Ahmed Raza Khanاور پرندوں کا جائزہ لیا تو بولا مجھے کیا ہوا کہ میں ہد ہد کو نہیں دیکھتا یا وہ واقعی حاضر نہیں،
Shabbir Ahmed اور جائزہ لیا سلیمان نے پرندوں کی فوج کا اور فرمایا: کیا بات ہے؟ نہیں دیکھ رہا ہُوں میں ہُد ہُد کو کیا وہ کہیں غائب ہوگیا ہے؟۔
Fateh Muhammad Jalandharyانہوں نے جانوروں کا جائزہ لیا تو کہنے لگے کیا سبب ہے کہ ہُدہُد نظر نہیں آتا۔ کیا کہیں غائب ہوگیا ہے؟
Mehmood Al Hassanاور خبر لی اڑتے جانوروں کی تو کہا کیا ہے جو میں نہیں دیکھتا ہد ہد کو یا ہے وہ غائب
Abul Ala Maududi(ایک اور موقع پر) سلیمانؑ نے پرندوں کا جائزہ لیا اور کہا “کیا بات ہے کہ میں فلاں ہُد ہُد کو نہیں دیکھ رہا ہوں کیا وہ کہیں غائب ہو گیا ہے؟

QXP Shabbir Ahemd**(Leaving the peaceful tribe of An-Naml alone, Solomon marched forward.) As he examined the cavalry, he said, "How is it that I do not see the commander Al-hoodhood, the Hoopoe? Is he one of the absentees?"
