Waaqsamoo biAllahi jahda aymanihimla-in amartahum layakhrujunna qul la tuqsimoo taAAatunmaAAroofatun inna Allaha khabeerun bima taAAmaloona وأقسموا بالله جهد أيمانهم لئن أمرتهم ليخرجن قل لا تقسموا طاعة معروفة إن الله خبير بما تعملون
وَأَقْسَمُوا بِاللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَانِهِمْ لَئِنْ أَمَرْتَهُمْ لَيَخْرُجُنَّ قُل لَّا تُقْسِمُوا طَاعَةٌ مَّعْرُوفَةٌ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِيْرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ

  اور وہ لوگ اللہ کی بڑی بھاری (تاکیدی) قَسمیں کھاتے ہیں کہ اگر آپ انہیں حکم دیں تو وہ (جہاد کے لئے) ضرور نکلیں گے، آپ فرما دیں کہ تم قَسمیں مت کھاؤ (بلکہ) معروف طریقہ سے فرمانبرداری (درکار) ہے، بیشک اللہ ان کاموں سے خوب آگاہ ہے جو تم کرتے ہو

Yousuf AliThey swear their strongest oaths by Allah that, if only thou wouldst command them, they would leave (their homes). Say: "Swear ye not; Obedience is (more) reasonable; verily, Allah is well acquainted with all that ye do."

Ahmed Aliاور الله کی پکی قسمیں کھا کر کہتے ہیں کہ اگر آپ انہیں حکم دیں تو سب کچھ چھوڑ کر نکل جائیں کہہ دو قسمیں نہ کھاؤ دستور کے موافق فرمانبرداری چاہیئے بے شک الله جانتا ہے جو تم کرتے ہو
Ahmed Raza Khanاور انہوں نے اللہ کی قسم کھائی اپنے حلف میں حد کی کوشش سے کہ اگر تم انہیں حکم دو گے تو وہ ضرور جہاد کو نکلیں گے تم فرماؤ قسمیں نہ کھاؤ موافق شرع حکم برداری چاہیے، اللہ جانتا ہے جو تم کرتے ہو
Shabbir Ahmed اور قسمیں کھاتے ہیں یہ اللہ کی، بڑی سخت قسمیں کہ اگر تم حکم دو اُنہیں تو ضرور نکل کھڑے ہوں گے (اپنے گھروں سے) کہو! قسمیں نہ کھاؤ، اصل چیز، دستور کے مطابق اطاعت ہے۔ بے شک اللہ پُوری طرح باخبر ہے تمہارے کرتوتوں سے۔
Fateh Muhammad Jalandharyاور (یہ) خدا کی سخت سخت قسمیں کھاتے ہیں کہ اگر تم ان کو حکم دو تو (سب گھروں سے) نکل کھڑے ہوں۔ کہہ دو کہ قسمیں مت کھاؤ، پسندیدہ فرمانبرداری (درکار ہے) ۔ بےشک خدا تمہارے سب اعمال سے خبردار ہے
Mehmood Al Hassanاور قسمیں کھاتے ہیں اللہ کی اپنی تاکید کی قسمیں کہ اگر تو حکم کرےتو سب کچھ چھوڑ کر نکل جائیں تو کہہ قسمیں نہ کھاؤ حکمبرداری چاہئے جو دستور ہے البتہ اللہ کو خبر ہے جو تم کرتے ہو
Abul Ala Maududiیہ (منافق) اللہ کے نام سے کڑی کڑی قسمیں کھا کر کہتے ہیں کہ "آپ حکم دیں تو ہم گھروں سے نکل کھڑے ہوں" اِن سے کہو "قسمیں نہ کھاؤ، تمہاری اطاعت کا حال معلوم ہے، تمہارے کرتوتوں سے اللہ بے خبر نہیں ہے"

AsadNow [as for those half-hearted ones,] they do swear by God with their most solemn oaths that if thou [O Apostle] shouldst ever bid them to do so, they would most certainly go forth [and sacrifice themselves]. [This is an allusion to the ephemeral, self-deceiving enthusiasms of the half-hearted and their supposed readiness for "self-sacrifice" contrasting with their obvious reluctance to live up to the message of the Quran in their day-to-day concerns.] Say: "Swear not! Reasonable compliance [with God's message is all that is required of you]. [This elliptic phrase alludes to the principle - repeatedly stressed in the Quran - that God does not burden man with more than he can easily bear.] Verily, God is aware of all that you do!"
Khalifa**They swear by GOD, solemnly, that if you commanded them to mobilize, they would mobilize. Say, "Do not swear. Obedience is an obligation. GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do."
Hilali/Khan**They swear by Allah their strongest oaths, that if only you would order them, they would leave (their homes for fighting in Allahs Cause). Say: "Swear you not; (this) obedience (of yours) is known (to be false). Verily, Allah knows well what you do."
