| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [21:90] | Faistajabna lahu wawahabnalahu yahya waaslahna lahuzawjahu innahum kanoo yusariAAoona fee alkhayratiwayadAAoonana raghaban warahaban wakanoo lanakhashiAAeena |  فاستجبنا له ووهبنا له يحيى وأصلحنا له زوجه إنهم كانوا يسارعون في الخيرات ويدعوننا رغبا ورهبا وكانوا لنا خاشعينفَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ يَحْيَى وَأَصْلَحْنَا لَهُ زَوْجَهُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَيَدْعُونَنَا رَغَبًا وَرَهَبًا وَكَانُوا لَنَا خَاشِعِينَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | تو ہم نے ان کی دعا قبول فرما لی اور ہم نے انہیں یحیٰی (علیہ السلام) عطا فرمایا اور ان کی خاطر ان کی زوجہ کو (بھی) درست (قابلِ اولاد) بنا دیا۔ بیشک یہ (سب) نیکی کے کاموں (کی انجام دہی) میں جلدی کرتے تھے اور ہمیں شوق و رغبت اور خوف و خشیّت (کی کیفیتوں) کے ساتھ پکارا کرتے تھے، اور ہمارے حضور بڑے عجز و نیاز کے ساتھ گڑگڑاتے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So We listened to him: and We granted him Yahya: We cured his wife's (Barrenness) for him. These (three) were ever quick in emulation in good works; they used to call on Us with love and reverence, and humble themselves before Us.

| Words | |فاستجبنا - So We responded| له - to him,| ووهبنا - and We bestowed| له - on him| يحيى - Yahya,| وأصلحنا - and We cured| له - for him| زوجه - his wife.| إنهم - Indeed, they| كانوا - used (to)| يسارعون - hasten| في - in| الخيرات - good deeds,| ويدعوننا - and they supplicate to Us| رغبا - (in) hope| ورهبا - and fear,| وكانوا - and they were| لنا - to Us| خاشعين - humbly submissive.| | ||||||
| 2. [21:92] | Inna hathihi ommatukum ommatan wahidatanwaana rabbukum faoAAbudooni | إن هذه أمتكم أمة واحدة وأنا ربكم فاعبدون إِنَّ هَذِهِ أُمَّتُكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَأَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُونِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک یہ تمہاری ملت ہے (سب) ایک ہی ملت ہے اور میں تمہارا رب ہوں پس تم میری (ہی) عبادت کیا کرو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Verily, this brotherhood of yours is a single brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore serve Me (and no other).

| 3. [21:93] | WataqattaAAoo amrahum baynahum kullunilayna rajiAAoona | وتقطعوا أمرهم بينهم كل إلينا راجعون وَتَقَطَّعُوا أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ كُلٌّ إِلَيْنَا رَاجِعُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ان (اہلِ کتاب) نے آپس میں اپنے دین کو ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کر ڈالا، یہ سب ہماری ہی جانب لوٹ کر آنے والے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But (later generations) cut off their affair (of unity), one from another: (yet) will they all return to Us.

| Words | |وتقطعوا - But they cut off| أمرهم - their affair| بينهم - among themselves,| كل - all| إلينا - to Us| راجعون - (will) return.| | ||||||
| 4. [21:94] | Faman yaAAmal mina alssalihatiwahuwa mu/minun fala kufrana lisaAAyihi wa-innalahu katiboona | فمن يعمل من الصالحات وهو مؤمن فلا كفران لسعيه وإنا له كاتبون فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِنَ الصَّالِحَاتِ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَا كُفْرَانَ لِسَعْيِهِ وَإِنَّا لَهُ كَاتِبُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس جو کوئی نیک عمل کرے اور وہ مومن بھی ہو تو اس کی کوشش (کی جزا) کا انکار نہ ہوگا، اور بیشک ہم اس کے (سب) اعمال کو لکھ رہے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Whoever works any act of righteousness and has faith,- His endeavour will not be rejected: We shall record it in his favour.

| Words | |فمن - Then whoever| يعمل - does| من - [of]| الصالحات - [the] righteous deeds| وهو - while he| مؤمن - (is) a believer| فلا - then not| كفران - (will be) rejected| لسعيه - [of] his effort.| وإنا - And indeed, We| له - of it| كاتبون - (are) Recorders.| | ||||||
| 5. [21:95] | Waharamun AAalaqaryatin ahlaknaha annahum la yarjiAAoona | وحرام على قرية أهلكناها أنهم لا يرجعون وَحَرَامٌ عَلَى قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَاهَا أَنَّهُمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور جس بستی کو ہم نے ہلاک کر ڈالا ناممکن ہے کہ اس کے لوگ (مرنے کے بعد) ہماری طرف پلٹ کر نہ آئیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But there is a ban on any population which We have destroyed: that they shall not return,

| Words | |وحرام - And (there is) prohibition| على - upon| قرية - a city| أهلكناها - which We have destroyed,| أنهم - that they| لا - not| يرجعون - will return.| | ||||||
| 6. [21:96] | Hatta itha futihatya/jooju wama/jooju wahum min kulli hadabin yansiloona | حتى إذا فتحت يأجوج ومأجوج وهم من كل حدب ينسلون حَتَّى إِذَا فُتِحَتْ يَأْجُوجُ وَمَأْجُوجُ وَهُم مِّن كُلِّ حَدَبٍ يَنسِلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | یہاں تک کہ جب یاجوج اور ماجوج کھول دیئے جائیں گے اور وہ ہر بلندی سے دوڑتے ہوئے اتر آئیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Until the Gog and Magog (people) are let through (their barrier), and they swiftly swarm from every hill.

| Words | |حتى - Until| إذا - when| فتحت - has been opened| يأجوج - (for) the Yajuj| ومأجوج - and Majuj,| وهم - and they| من - from| كل - every| حدب - elevation| ينسلون - descend.| | ||||||

[21:97] | Waiqtaraba alwaAAdu alhaqqufa-itha hiya shakhisatun absaru allatheenakafaroo ya waylana qad kunna fee ghaflatinmin hatha bal kunna thalimeena | واقترب الوعد الحق فإذا هي شاخصة أبصار الذين كفروا يا ويلنا قد كنا في غفلة من هذا بل كنا ظالمين وَاقْتَرَبَ الْوَعْدُ الْحَقُّ فَإِذَا هِيَ شَاخِصَةٌ أَبْصَارُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا قَدْ كُنَّا فِي غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَذَا بَلْ كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (قیامت کا) سچا وعدہ قریب ہو جائے گا تو اچانک کافر لوگوں کی آنکھیں کھلی رہ جائیں گی (وہ پکار اٹھیں گے:) ہائے ہماری شومئ قسمت! کہ ہم اس (دن کی آمد) سے غفلت میں پڑے رہے بلکہ ہم ظالم تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then will the true promise draw nigh (of fulfilment): then behold! the eyes of the Unbelievers will fixedly stare in horror: "Ah! Woe to us! we were indeed heedless of this; nay, we truly did wrong!"

| 8. [21:98] | Innakum wama taAAbudoona min dooniAllahi hasabu jahannama antum laha waridoona | إنكم وما تعبدون من دون الله حصب جهنم أنتم لها واردون إِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ أَنتُمْ لَهَا وَارِدُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک تم اور وہ (بت) جن کی تم اﷲ کے سوا پرستش کرتے تھے (سب) دوزخ کا ایندھن ہیں، تم اس میں داخل ہونے والے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Verily ye, (unbelievers), and the (false) gods that ye worship besides Allah, are (but) fuel for Hell! to it will ye (surely) come!

| Words | |إنكم - Indeed, you| وما - and what| تعبدون - you worship| من - besides Allah| دون - besides Allah| الله - besides Allah| حصب - (are) firewood| جهنم - (of) Hell.| أنتم - You| لها - to it| واردون - will come.| | ||||||
| 9. [21:99] | Law kana haola-i alihatanma waradooha wakullun feeha khalidoona | لو كان هؤلاء آلهة ما وردوها وكل فيها خالدون لَوْ كَانَ هَؤُلَاءِ آلِهَةً مَّا وَرَدُوهَا وَكُلٌّ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اگر یہ (واقعۃً) معبود ہوتے تو جہنم میں داخل نہ ہوتے، اور وہ سب اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | If these had been gods, they would not have got there! but each one will abide therein.
| ||||||
| Words | |لو - If| كان - were| هؤلاء - these| آلهة - gods,| ما - not| وردوها - they (would) have come to it.| وكل - And all| فيها - therein| خالدون - will abide forever.| | ||||||
| 10. [21:100] | Lahum feeha zafeerun wahum feehala yasmaAAoona | لهم فيها زفير وهم فيها لا يسمعون لَهُمْ فِيهَا زَفِيْرٌ وَهُمْ فِيهَا لَا يَسْمَعُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہاں ان کی (آہوں کا شور اور) چیخ و پکار ہوگی اور اس میں کچھ (اور) نہ سن سکیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | There, sobbing will be their lot, nor will they there hear (aught else).
| ||||||
| Words | |لهم - For them| فيها - therein| زفير - (is) sighing,| وهم - and they| فيها - therein| لا - not| يسمعون - will hear.| | ||||||
| 11. [21:101] | Inna allatheena sabaqat lahum minnaalhusna ola-ika AAanha mubAAadoona | إن الذين سبقت لهم منا الحسنى أولئك عنها مبعدون إِنَّ الَّذِينَ سَبَقَتْ لَهُم مِّنَّا الْحُسْنَى أُوْلَئِكَ عَنْهَا مُبْعَدُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک جن لوگوں کے لئے پہلے سے ہی ہماری طرف سے بھلائی مقرر ہو چکی ہے وہ اس (جہنم) سے دور رکھے جائیں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Those for whom the good (record) from Us has gone before, will be removed far therefrom.

| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الذين - those| سبقت - has gone forth| لهم - for them| منا - from Us| الحسنى - the good,| أولئك - those| عنها - from it| مبعدون - (will be) removed far.| | ||||||
| 12. [21:102] | La yasmaAAoona haseesahawahum fee ma ishtahat anfusuhum khalidoona | لا يسمعون حسيسها وهم في ما اشتهت أنفسهم خالدون لَا يَسْمَعُونَ حَسِيسَهَا وَهُمْ فِي مَا اشْتَهَتْ أَنفُسُهُمْ خَالِدُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ اس کی آہٹ بھی نہ سنیں گے اور وہ ان (نعمتوں) میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے جن کی ان کے دل خواہش کریں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Not the slightest sound will they hear of Hell: what their souls desired, in that will they dwell.

| Words | |لا - Not| يسمعون - they will hear| حسيسها - (the) slightest sound of it| وهم - and they| في - in| ما - what| اشتهت - desire| أنفسهم - their souls| خالدون - will abide forever.| | ||||||

[21:103] | La yahzunuhumu alfazaAAual-akbaru watatalaqqahumu almala-ikatu hathayawmukumu allathee kuntum tooAAadoona | لا يحزنهم الفزع الأكبر وتتلقاهم الملائكة هذا يومكم الذي كنتم توعدون لَا يَحْزُنُهُمُ الْفَزَعُ الْأَكْبَرُ وَتَتَلَقَّاهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ هَذَا يَوْمُكُمُ الَّذِي كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (روزِ قیامت کی) سب سے بڑی ہولناکی (بھی) انہیں رنجیدہ نہیں کرے گی اور فرشتے ان کا استقبال کریں گے (اور کہیں گے:) یہ تمہارا (ہی) دن ہے جس کا تم سے وعدہ کیا جاتا رہا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The Great Terror will bring them no grief: but the angels will meet them (with mutual greetings): "This is your Day,- (the Day) that ye were promised."

[21:104] | Yawma natwee alssamaakatayyi alssijlli lilkutubi kama bada/naawwala khalqin nuAAeeduhu waAAdan AAalayna innakunna faAAileena | يوم نطوي السماء كطي السجل للكتب كما بدأنا أول خلق نعيده وعدا علينا إنا كنا فاعلين يَوْمَ نَطْوِي السَّمَاءَ كَطَيِّ السِّجِلِّ لِلْكُتُبِ كَمَا بَدَأْنَا أَوَّلَ خَلْقٍ نُّعِيدُهُ وَعْدًا عَلَيْنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اس دن ہم (ساری) سماوی کائنات کو اس طرح لپیٹ دیں گے جیسے لکھے ہوئے کاغذات کو لپیٹ دیا جاتا ہے، جس طرح ہم نے (کائنات کو) پہلی بار پیدا کیا تھا ہم (اس کے ختم ہو جانے کے بعد) اسی عملِ تخلیق کو دہرائیں گے۔ یہ وعدہ پورا کرنا ہم نے لازم کر لیا ہے۔ ہم (یہ اعادہ) ضرور کرنے والے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | The Day that We roll up the heavens like a scroll rolled up for books (completed),- even as We produced the first creation, so shall We produce a new one: a promise We have undertaken: truly shall We fulfil it.

| 15. [21:105] | Walaqad katabna fee alzzaboorimin baAAdi alththikri anna al-arda yarithuhaAAibadiya alssalihoona | ولقد كتبنا في الزبور من بعد الذكر أن الأرض يرثها عبادي الصالحون وَلَقَدْ كَتَبْنَا فِي الزَّبُورِ مِن بَعْدِ الذِّكْرِ أَنَّ الْأَرْضَ يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِيَ الصَّالِحُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور بلا شبہ ہم نے زبور میں نصیحت کے (بیان کے) بعد یہ لکھ دیا تھا کہ (عالمِ آخرت کی) زمین کے وارث صرف میرے نیکو کار بندے ہوں گے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Before this We wrote in the Psalms, after the Message (given to Moses): My servants the righteous, shall inherit the earth."

| Words | |ولقد - And verily,| كتبنا - We have written| في - in| الزبور - the Scripture| من - after| بعد - after| الذكر - the mention,| أن - that| الأرض - the earth -| يرثها - will inherit it| عبادي - My slaves,| الصالحون - the righteous.| | ||||||
| 16. [21:106] | Inna fee hatha labalaghanliqawmin AAabideena | إن في هذا لبلاغا لقوم عابدين إِنَّ فِي هَذَا لَبَلَاغًا لِّقَوْمٍ عَابِدِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک اس (قرآن) میں عبادت گزاروں کے لئے (حصولِ مقصد کی) کفایت و ضمانت ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Verily in this (Qur'an) is a Message for people who would (truly) worship Allah.

| Words | |إن - Indeed,| في - in| هذا - this| لبلاغا - surely is a Message| لقوم - for a people,| عابدين - worshippers.| | ||||||
| 17. [21:107] | Wama arsalnaka illa rahmatanlilAAalameena | وما أرسلناك إلا رحمة للعالمين وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (اے رسولِ محتشم!) ہم نے آپ کو نہیں بھیجا مگر تمام جہانوں کے لئے رحمت بنا کر | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We sent thee not, but as a Mercy for all creatures.
| ||||||
| Words | |وما - And not| أرسلناك - We have sent you| إلا - but| رحمة - (as) a mercy| للعالمين - for the worlds.| | ||||||
| 18. [21:108] | Qul innama yooha ilayya annamailahukum ilahun wahidun fahal antummuslimoona | قل إنما يوحى إلي أنما إلهكم إله واحد فهل أنتم مسلمون قُلْ إِنَّمَا يُوحَى إِلَيَّ أَنَّمَا إِلَهُكُمْ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | فرما دیجئے کہ میری طرف تو یہی وحی کی جاتی ہے کہ تمہارا معبود فقط ایک (ہی) معبود ہے، تو کیا تم اسلام قبول کرتے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say: "What has come to me by inspiration is that your Allah is One Allah: will ye therefore bow to His Will (in Islam)?"

| Words | |قل - Say,| إنما - "Only| يوحى - it is revealed| إلي - to me| أنما - that| إلهكم - your god| إله - (is) God| واحد - One;| فهل - so will| أنتم - you| مسلمون - submit (to Him)?"| | ||||||
| 19. [21:109] | Fa-in tawallaw faqul athantukum AAalasawa-in wa-in adree aqareebun am baAAeedun matooAAadoona | فإن تولوا فقل آذنتكم على سواء وإن أدري أقريب أم بعيد ما توعدون فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا فَقُلْ آذَنتُكُمْ عَلَى سَوَاءٍ وَإِنْ أَدْرِي أَقَرِيبٌ أَم بَعِيدٌ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر اگر وہ رُوگردانی کریں تو فرما دیجئے: میں نے تم سب کو یکساں طور پر باخبر کر دیا ہے، اور میں نہیں جانتا کہ وہ (عذاب) نزدیک ہے یا دور جس کا تم سے وعدہ کیا جا رہا ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But if they turn back, Say: "I have proclaimed the Message to you all alike and in truth; but I know not whether that which ye are promised is near or far.

| Words | |فإن - But if| تولوا - they turn away| فقل - then say,| آذنتكم - "I (have) announced to you| على - equally| سواء - equally| وإن - And not| أدري - I know| أقريب - whether is near| أم - or| بعيد - far| ما - what| توعدون - you are promised.| | ||||||
| 20. [21:110] | Innahu yaAAlamu aljahra mina alqawliwayaAAlamu ma taktumoona | إنه يعلم الجهر من القول ويعلم ما تكتمون إِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ مِنَ الْقَوْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْتُمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | بیشک وہ بلند آواز کی بات بھی جانتا ہے اور وہ (کچھ) بھی جانتا ہے جو تم چھپاتے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "It is He Who knows what is open in speech and what ye hide (in your hearts).

| Words | |إنه - Indeed, He| يعلم - knows| الجهر - the declared| من - [of]| القول - [the] speech| ويعلم - and He knows| ما - what| تكتمون - you conceal.| | ||||||
| 21. [21:111] | Wa-in adree laAAallahu fitnatun lakum wamataAAunila heenin | وإن أدري لعله فتنة لكم ومتاع إلى حين وَإِنْ أَدْرِي لَعَلَّهُ فِتْنَةٌ لَّكُمْ وَمَتَاعٌ إِلَى حِينٍ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور میں یہ نہیں جانتا شاید یہ (تاخیرِ عذاب اور تمہیں دی گئی ڈھیل) تمہارے حق میں آزمائش ہو اور (تمہیں) ایک مقرر وقت تک فائدہ پہنچانا مقصود ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "I know not but that it may be a trial for you, and a grant of (worldly) livelihood (to you) for a time."

| Words | |وإن - And not| أدري - I know,| لعله - perhaps it may be| فتنة - a trial| لكم - for you,| ومتاع - and an enjoyment| إلى - for| حين - a time."| | ||||||
| 22. [21:112] | Qala rabbi ohkum bialhaqqiwarabbuna alrrahmanu almustaAAanuAAala ma tasifoona | قال رب احكم بالحق وربنا الرحمن المستعان على ما تصفون قَالَ رَبِّ احْكُم بِالْحَقِّ وَرَبُّنَا الرَّحْمَنُ الْمُسْتَعَانُ عَلَى مَا تَصِفُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (ہمارے حبیب نے) عرض کیا: اے میرے رب! (ہمارے درمیان) حق کے ساتھ فیصلہ فرما دے، اور ہمارا رب بے حد رحم فرمانے والا ہے، اسی سے مدد طلب کی جاتی ہے ان (دل آزار) باتوں پر جو (اے کافرو!) تم بیان کرتے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Say: "O my Lord! judge Thou in truth!" "Our Lord Most Gracious is the One Whose assistance should be sought against the blasphemies ye utter!"

| Words | |قال - He said,| رب - "My Lord!| احكم - judge| بالحق - in truth.| وربنا - And our Lord| الرحمن - (is) the Most Gracious,| المستعان - the One Whose help is sought| على - against| ما - what| تصفون - you attribute."| | ||||||
