| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [21:61] | Qaloo fa/too bihi AAalaaAAyuni alnnasi laAAallahum yashhadoona |  قالوا فأتوا به على أعين الناس لعلهم يشهدونقَالُوا فَأْتُوا بِهِ عَلَى أَعْيُنِ النَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْهَدُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ بولے: اسے لوگوں کے سامنے لے آؤ تاکہ وہ (اسے) دیکھ لیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said, "Then bring him before the eyes of the people, that they may bear witness."

| 2. [21:62] | Qaloo aanta faAAalta hatha bi-alihatinaya ibraheemu | قالوا أأنت فعلت هذا بآلهتنا يا إبراهيم قَالُوا أَأَنتَ فَعَلْتَ هَذَا بِآلِهَتِنَا يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (جب ابراہیم علیہ السلام آئے تو) وہ کہنے لگے: کیا تم نے ہی ہمارے معبودوں کے ساتھ یہ حال کیا ہے اے ابراہیم | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said, "Art thou the one that did this with our gods, O Abraham?"

| 3. [21:63] | Qala bal faAAalahu kabeeruhum hathafais-aloohum in kanoo yantiqoona | قال بل فعله كبيرهم هذا فاسألوهم إن كانوا ينطقون قَالَ بَلْ فَعَلَهُ كَبِيرُهُمْ هَذَا فَاسْأَلُوهُمْ إِن كَانُوا يَنطِقُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | آپ نے فرمایا: بلکہ یہ (کام) ان کے اس بڑے (بت) نے کیا ہوگا تو ان (بتوں) سے ہی پوچھو اگر وہ بول سکتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | He said: "Nay, this was done by - this is their biggest one! ask them, if they can speak intelligently!"

| 4. [21:64] | FarajaAAoo ila anfusihim faqalooinnakum antumu alththalimoona | فرجعوا إلى أنفسهم فقالوا إنكم أنتم الظالمون فَرَجَعُوا إِلَى أَنفُسِهِمْ فَقَالُوا إِنَّكُمْ أَنتُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر وہ اپنی ہی (سوچوں کی) طرف پلٹ گئے تو کہنے لگے: بیشک تم خود ہی (ان مجبور و بے بس بتوں کی پوجا کر کے) ظالم (ہوگئے) ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So they turned to themselves and said, "Surely ye are the ones in the wrong!"

| 5. [21:65] | Thumma nukisoo AAala ruoosihim laqadAAalimta ma haola-i yantiqoona | ثم نكسوا على رءوسهم لقد علمت ما هؤلاء ينطقون ثُمَّ نُكِسُوا عَلَى رُؤُوسِهِمْ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا هَؤُلَاءِ يَنطِقُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پھر وہ اپنے سروں کے بل اوندھے کر دیئے گئے (یعنی ان کی عقلیں اوندھی ہوگئیں اور کہنے لگے:) بیشک (اے ابراہیم!) تم خود ہی جانتے ہو کہ یہ تو بولتے نہیں ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then were they confounded with shame: (they said), "Thou knowest full well that these (idols) do not speak!"

| 6. [21:66] | Qala afataAAbudoona min dooni Allahima la yanfaAAukum shay-an wala yadurrukum | قال أفتعبدون من دون الله ما لا ينفعكم شيئا ولا يضركم قَالَ أَفَتَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُكُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَضُرُّكُمْ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | (ابراہیم علیہ السلام نے) فرمایا: پھر کیا تم اﷲ کو چھوڑ کر ان (مورتیوں) کو پوجتے ہو جو نہ تمہیں کچھ نفع دے سکتی ہیں اور نہ تمہیں نقصان پہنچا سکتی ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (Abraham) said, "Do ye then worship, besides Allah, things that can neither be of any good to you nor do you harm?

| 7. [21:67] | Offin lakum walima taAAbudoona mindooni Allahi afala taAAqiloona | أف لكم ولما تعبدون من دون الله أفلا تعقلون أُفٍّ لَّكُمْ وَلِمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | تف ہے تم پر (بھی) اور ان (بتوں) پر (بھی) جنہیں تم اﷲ کے سوا پوجتے ہو، تو کیا تم عقل نہیں رکھتے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | "Fie upon you, and upon the things that ye worship besides Allah! Have ye no sense?"..

| 8. [21:68] | Qaloo harriqoohu waonsurooalihatakum in kuntum faAAileena | قالوا حرقوه وانصروا آلهتكم إن كنتم فاعلين قَالُوا حَرِّقُوهُ وَانصُرُوا آلِهَتَكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ فَاعِلِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | وہ بولے: اس کو جلا دو اور اپنے (تباہ حال) معبودوں کی مدد کرو اگر تم (کچھ) کرنے والے ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | They said, "Burn him and protect your gods, If ye do (anything at all)!"

| 9. [21:69] | Qulna ya naru kooneebardan wasalaman AAala ibraheema | قلنا يا نار كوني بردا وسلاما على إبراهيم قُلْنَا يَا نَارُ كُونِي بَرْدًا وَسَلَامًا عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | ہم نے فرمایا: اے آگ! تو ابراہیم پر ٹھنڈی اور سراپا سلامتی ہو جا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We said, "O Fire! be thou cool, and (a means of) safety for Abraham!"

| 10. [21:70] | Waaradoo bihi kaydan fajaAAalnahumual-akhsareena | وأرادوا به كيدا فجعلناهم الأخسرين وَأَرَادُوا بِهِ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَاهُمُ الْأَخْسَرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور انہوں نے ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) کے ساتھ بری چال کا ارادہ کیا تھا مگر ہم نے انہیں بری طرح ناکام کر دیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | Then they sought a stratagem against him: but We made them the ones that lost most!

| Words | |وأرادوا - And they intended| به - for him,| كيدا - a plan| فجعلناهم - but We made them| الأخسرين - the greatest losers.| | ||||||
| 11. [21:71] | Wanajjaynahu walootan ilaal-ardi allatee barakna feeha lilAAalameena | ونجيناه ولوطا إلى الأرض التي باركنا فيها للعالمين وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَلُوطًا إِلَى الْأَرْضِ الَّتِي بَارَكْنَا فِيهَا لِلْعَالَمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) کو اور لوط (علیہ السلام) کو (جو آپ کے بھتیجے یعنی آپ کے بھائی ہاران کے بیٹے تھے) بچا کر (عراق سے) اس سرزمینِ (شام) کی طرف لے گئے جس میں ہم نے جہان والوں کے لئے برکتیں رکھی ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | But We delivered him and (his nephew) Lut (and directed them) to the land which We have blessed for the nations.

| 12. [21:72] | Wawahabna lahu ishaqawayaAAqooba nafilatan wakullan jaAAalna saliheena | ووهبنا له إسحاق ويعقوب نافلة وكلا جعلنا صالحين وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ نَافِلَةً وَكُلًّا جَعَلْنَا صَالِحِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے انہیں (فرزند) اسحاق (علیہ السلام) بخشا اور (پوتا) یعقوب (علیہ السلام ان کی دعا سے) اضافی بخشا، اور ہم نے ان سب کو صالح بنایا تھا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And We bestowed on him Isaac and, as an additional gift, (a grandson), Jacob, and We made righteous men of every one (of them).

[21:73] | WajaAAalnahum a-immatan yahdoonabi-amrina waawhayna ilayhim fiAAla alkhayratiwa-iqama alssalati wa-eetaa alzzakatiwakanoo lana AAabideena | وجعلناهم أئمة يهدون بأمرنا وأوحينا إليهم فعل الخيرات وإقام الصلاة وإيتاء الزكاة وكانوا لنا عابدين وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْهِمْ فِعْلَ الْخَيْرَاتِ وَإِقَامَ الصَّلَاةِ وَإِيتَاءَ الزَّكَاةِ وَكَانُوا لَنَا عَابِدِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے انہیں (انسانیت کا) پیشوا بنایا وہ (لوگوں کو) ہمارے حکم سے ہدایت کرتے تھے اور ہم نے ان کی طرف اَعمالِ خیر اور نماز قائم کرنے اور زکوٰۃ ادا کرنے (کے احکام) کی وحی بھیجی، اور وہ سب ہمارے عبادت گزار تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And We made them leaders, guiding (men) by Our Command, and We sent them inspiration to do good deeds, to establish regular prayers, and to practise regular charity; and they constantly served Us (and Us only).

| Words | |وجعلناهم - And We made them| أئمة - leaders,| يهدون - they guide| بأمرنا - by Our Command.| وأوحينا - And We inspired| إليهم - to them| فعل - (the) doing| الخيرات - (of) good deeds,| وإقام - and establishment| الصلاة - (of) the prayer| وإيتاء - and giving| الزكاة - (of) zakah;| وكانوا - and they were| لنا - of Us| عابدين - worshippers.| | ||||||

[21:74] | Walootan ataynahu hukmanwaAAilman wanajjaynahu mina alqaryati allatee kanattaAAmalu alkhaba-itha innahum kanoo qawma saw-in fasiqeena | ولوطا آتيناه حكما وعلما ونجيناه من القرية التي كانت تعمل الخبائث إنهم كانوا قوم سوء فاسقين وَلُوطًا آتَيْنَاهُ حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ مِنَ الْقَرْيَةِ الَّتِي كَانَت تَّعْمَلُ الْخَبَائِثَ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فَاسِقِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور لوط (علیہ السلام) کو (بھی) ہم نے حکمت اور علم سے نوازا تھا اور ہم نے انہیں اس بستی سے نجات دی جہاں کے لوگ گندے کام کیا کرتے تھے۔ بیشک وہ بہت ہی بری (اور) بد کردار قوم تھی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And to Lut, too, We gave Judgment and Knowledge, and We saved him from the town which practised abominations: truly they were a people given to Evil, a rebellious people.

| 15. [21:75] | Waadkhalnahu fee rahmatinainnahu mina alssaliheena | وأدخلناه في رحمتنا إنه من الصالحين وَأَدْخَلْنَاهُ فِي رَحْمَتِنَا إِنَّهُ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے لوط (علیہ السلام) کو اپنے حریمِ رحمت میں داخل فرما لیا۔ بیشک وہ صالحین میں سے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And We admitted him to Our Mercy: for he was one of the Righteous.

| 16. [21:76] | Wanoohan ith nadamin qablu faistajabna lahu fanajjaynahuwaahlahu mina alkarbi alAAatheemi | ونوحا إذ نادى من قبل فاستجبنا له فنجيناه وأهله من الكرب العظيم وَنُوحًا إِذْ نَادَى مِن قَبْلُ فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ فَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور نوح (علیہ السلام کو بھی یاد کریں) جب انہوں نے ان (انبیاء علیہم السلام) سے پہلے (ہمیں) پکارا تھا سو ہم نے ان کی دعا قبول فرمائی پس ہم نے ان کو اور ان کے گھر والوں کو بڑے شدید غم و اندوہ سے نجات بخشی | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (Remember) Noah, when he cried (to Us) aforetime: We listened to his (prayer) and delivered him and his family from great distress.

[21:77] | Wanasarnahu mina alqawmi allatheenakaththaboo bi-ayatina innahum kanooqawma saw-in faaghraqnahum ajmaAAeena | ونصرناه من القوم الذين كذبوا بآياتنا إنهم كانوا قوم سوء فأغرقناهم أجمعين وَنَصَرْنَاهُ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فَأَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے اس قوم (کے اذیت ناک ماحول) میں ان کی مدد فرمائی جو ہماری آیتوں کو جھٹلاتے تھے۔ بیشک وہ (بھی) بہت بری قوم تھی سو ہم نے ان سب کو غرق کر دیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We helped him against people who rejected Our Signs: truly they were a people given to Evil: so We drowned them (in the Flood) all together.

[21:78] | Wadawooda wasulaymana ithyahkumani fee alharthi ith nafashatfeehi ghanamu alqawmi wakunna lihukmihim shahideena | وداوود وسليمان إذ يحكمان في الحرث إذ نفشت فيه غنم القوم وكنا لحكمهم شاهدين وَدَاوُودَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ إِذْ يَحْكُمَانِ فِي الْحَرْثِ إِذْ نَفَشَتْ فِيهِ غَنَمُ الْقَوْمِ وَكُنَّا لِحُكْمِهِمْ شَاهِدِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور داؤد اور سلیمان (علیہما السلام کا قصہ بھی یاد کریں) جب وہ دونوں کھیتی (کے ایک مقدمہ) میں فیصلہ کرنے لگے جب ایک قوم کی بکریاں اس میں رات کے وقت بغیر چرواہے کے گھس گئی تھیں (اور اس کھیتی کو تباہ کر دیا تھا)، اور ہم ان کے فیصلہ کا مشاہدہ فرما رہے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And remember David and Solomon, when they gave judgment in the matter of the field into which the sheep of certain people had strayed by night: We did witness their judgment.

[21:79] | Fafahhamnaha sulaymanawakullan atayna hukman waAAilman wasakhkharnamaAAa dawooda aljibala yusabbihna waalttayrawakunna faAAileena | ففهمناها سليمان وكلا آتينا حكما وعلما وسخرنا مع داوود الجبال يسبحن والطير وكنا فاعلين فَفَهَّمْنَاهَا سُلَيْمَانَ وَكُلًّا آتَيْنَا حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا وَسَخَّرْنَا مَعَ دَاوُودَ الْجِبَالَ يُسَبِّحْنَ وَالطَّيْرَ وَكُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | چنانچہ ہم ہی نے سلیمان (علیہ السلام) کو وہ (فیصلہ کرنے کا طریقہ) سکھایا تھا اور ہم نے ان سب کو حکمت اور علم سے نوازا تھا اور ہم نے پہاڑوں اور پرندوں (تک) کو داؤد (علیہ السلام) کے (حکم کے) ساتھ پابند کر دیا تھا وہ (سب ان کے ساتھ مل کر) تسبیح پڑھتے تھے، اور ہم ہی (یہ سب کچھ) کرنے والے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | To Solomon We inspired the (right) understanding of the matter: to each (of them) We gave Judgment and Knowledge; it was Our power that made the hills and the birds celebrate Our praises, with David: it was We Who did (all these things).

| 20. [21:80] | WaAAallamnahu sanAAatalaboosin lakum lituhsinakum min ba/sikum fahal antum shakiroona | وعلمناه صنعة لبوس لكم لتحصنكم من بأسكم فهل أنتم شاكرون وَعَلَّمْنَاهُ صَنْعَةَ لَبُوسٍ لَّكُمْ لِتُحْصِنَكُم مِّن بَأْسِكُمْ فَهَلْ أَنتُمْ شَاكِرُونَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے داؤد (علیہ السلام) کو تمہارے لئے زِرہ بنانے کا فن سکھایا تھا تاکہ وہ تمہاری لڑائی میں تمہیں ضرر سے بچائے، تو کیا تم شکر گزار ہو | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | It was We Who taught him the making of coats of mail for your benefit, to guard you from each other's violence: will ye then be grateful?

[21:81] | Walisulaymana alrreehaAAasifatan tajree bi-amrihi ila al-ardiallatee barakna feeha wakunna bikullishay-in AAalimeena | ولسليمان الريح عاصفة تجري بأمره إلى الأرض التي باركنا فيها وكنا بكل شيء عالمين وَلِسُلَيْمَانَ الرِّيحَ عَاصِفَةً تَجْرِي بِأَمْرِهِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ الَّتِي بَارَكْنَا فِيهَا وَكُنَّا بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَالِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (ہم نے) سلیمان (علیہ السلام) کے لئے تیز ہوا کو (مسخّر کردیا) جو ان کے حکم سے (جملہ اَطراف و اَکناف سے) اس سرزمینِ (شام) کی طرف چلا کرتی تھی جس میں ہم نے برکتیں رکھی ہیں، اور ہم ہر چیز کو (خوب) جاننے والے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | (It was Our power that made) the violent (unruly) wind flow (tamely) for Solomon, to his order, to the land which We had blessed: for We do know all things.

| 22. [21:82] | Wamina alshshayateeni manyaghoosoona lahu wayaAAmaloona AAamalan doona thalikawakunna lahum hafitheena | ومن الشياطين من يغوصون له ويعملون عملا دون ذلك وكنا لهم حافظين وَمِنَ الشَّيَاطِينِ مَن يَغُوصُونَ لَهُ وَيَعْمَلُونَ عَمَلًا دُونَ ذَلِكَ وَكُنَّا لَهُمْ حَافِظِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور کچھ شیطان (دیووں اور جنّوں) کو بھی (سلیمان علیہ السلام کے تابع کر دیا تھا) جو ان کے لئے (دریا میں) غوطے لگاتے تھے اور اس کے سوا (ان کے حکم پر) دیگر خدمات بھی انجام دیتے تھے، اور ہم ہی ان (دیووں) کے نگہبان تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And of the evil ones, were some who dived for him, and did other work besides; and it was We Who guarded them.

| Words | |ومن - And of| الشياطين - the devils| من - (were some) who| يغوصون - would dive| له - for him| ويعملون - and would do| عملا - work| دون - other than| ذلك - that.| وكنا - And We were| لهم - of them| حافظين - Guardians.| | ||||||
| 23. [21:83] | Waayyooba ith nadarabbahu annee massaniya alddurru waanta arhamualrrahimeena | وأيوب إذ نادى ربه أني مسني الضر وأنت أرحم الراحمين وَأَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَى رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ایوب (علیہ السلام کا قصّہ یاد کریں) جب انہوں نے اپنے رب کو پکارا کہ مجھے تکلیف چھو رہی ہے اور تو سب رحم کرنے والوں سے بڑھ کر مہربان ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And (remember) Job, when He cried to his Lord, "Truly distress has seized me, but Thou art the Most Merciful of those that are merciful."

[21:84] | Faistajabna lahu fakashafnama bihi min durrin waataynahu ahlahuwamithlahum maAAahum rahmatan min AAindina wathikralilAAabideena | فاستجبنا له فكشفنا ما به من ضر وآتيناه أهله ومثلهم معهم رحمة من عندنا وذكرى للعابدين فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ فَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِ مِن ضُرٍّ وَآتَيْنَاهُ أَهْلَهُ وَمِثْلَهُم مَّعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِّنْ عِندِنَا وَذِكْرَى لِلْعَابِدِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | تو ہم نے ان کی دعا قبول فرما لی اور انہیں جو تکلیف (پہنچ رہی) تھی سو ہم نے اسے دور کر دیا اور ہم نے انہیں ان کے اہل و عیال (بھی) عطا فرمائے اور ان کے ساتھ اتنے ہی اور (عطا فرما دیئے)، یہ ہماری طرف سے خاص رحمت اور عبادت گزاروں کے لئے نصیحت ہے (کہ اﷲ صبر و شکر کا اجر کیسے دیتا ہے) | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So We listened to him: We removed the distress that was on him, and We restored his people to him, and doubled their number,- as a Grace from Ourselves, and a thing for commemoration, for all who serve Us.

| Words | |فاستجبنا - So We responded| له - to him| فكشفنا - and We removed| ما - what| به - (was) on him| من - of| ضر - (the) adversity.| وآتيناه - And We gave him| أهله - his family| ومثلهم - and (the) like thereof| معهم - with them| رحمة - (as) Mercy| من - from Ourselves,| عندنا - from Ourselves,| وذكرى - and a reminder| للعابدين - for the worshippers.| | ||||||
| 25. [21:85] | Wa-ismaAAeela wa-idreesa wathaalkifli kullun mina alssabireena | وإسماعيل وإدريس وذا الكفل كل من الصابرين وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِدْرِيسَ وَذَا الْكِفْلِ كُلٌّ مِّنَ الصَّابِرِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور اسماعیل اور ادریس اور ذوالکفل (علیہم السلام کو بھی یاد فرمائیں)، یہ سب صابر لوگ تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And (remember) Isma'il, Idris, and Zul-kifl, all (men) of constancy and patience;

| Words | |وإسماعيل - And Ishmael| وإدريس - and Idris| وذا - and Dhul-Kifl;| الكفل - and Dhul-Kifl;| كل - all| من - (were) of| الصابرين - the patient ones.| | ||||||
| 26. [21:86] | Waadkhalnahum fee rahmatinainnahum mina alssaliheena | وأدخلناهم في رحمتنا إنهم من الصالحين وَأَدْخَلْنَاهُمْ فِي رَحْمَتِنَا إِنَّهُم مِّنَ الصَّالِحِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ہم نے انہیں اپنے (دامنِ) رحمت میں داخل فرمایا۔ بیشک وہ نیکو کاروں میں سے تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | We admitted them to Our mercy: for they were of the righteous ones.

| Words | |وأدخلناهم - And We admitted them| في - in| رحمتنا - Our Mercy.| إنهم - Indeed, they| من - (were) of| الصالحين - the righteous.| | ||||||

[21:87] | Watha alnnooni ith thahabamughadiban fathanna an lan naqdira AAalayhifanada fee alththulumatian la ilaha illa anta subhanaka inneekuntu mina alththalimeena | وذا النون إذ ذهب مغاضبا فظن أن لن نقدر عليه فنادى في الظلمات أن لا إله إلا أنت سبحانك إني كنت من الظالمين وَذَا النُّونِ إِذ ذَّهَبَ مُغَاضِبًا فَظَنَّ أَن لَّن نَّقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ فَنَادَى فِي الظُّلُمَاتِ أَن لَّا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور ذوالنون (مچھلی کے پیٹ والے نبی علیہ السلام کو بھی یاد فرمائیے) جب وہ (اپنی قوم پر) غضبناک ہو کر چل دیئے پس انہوں نے یہ خیال کر لیا کہ ہم ان پر (اس سفر میں) کوئی تنگی نہیں کریں گے پھر انہوں نے (دریا، رات اور مچھلی کے پیٹ کی تہہ در تہہ) تاریکیوں میں (پھنس کر) پکارا کہ تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں تیری ذات پاک ہے، بیشک میں ہی (اپنی جان پر) زیادتی کرنے والوں میں سے تھا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And remember Zun-nun, when he departed in wrath: He imagined that We had no power over him! But he cried through the deptHs of darkness, "There is no god but thou: glory to thee: I was indeed wrong!"

| Words | |وذا - And Dhun-Nun| النون - And Dhun-Nun| إذ - when| ذهب - he went| مغاضبا - (while) angry| فظن - and thought| أن - that| لن - never| نقدر - We would decree| عليه - upon him.| فنادى - Then he called| في - in| الظلمات - the darkness(es)| أن - that,| لا - "(There is) no| إله - god| إلا - except| أنت - You,| سبحانك - Glory be to You!| إني - Indeed, [I]| كنت - I am| من - of| الظالمين - the wrongdoers."| | ||||||
| 28. [21:88] | Faistajabna lahu wanajjaynahumina alghammi wakathalika nunjee almu/mineena | فاستجبنا له ونجيناه من الغم وكذلك ننجي المؤمنين فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ مِنَ الْغَمِّ وَكَذَلِكَ نُنجِي الْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | پس ہم نے ان کی دعا قبول فرما لی اور ہم نے انہیں غم سے نجات بخشی، اور اسی طرح ہم مومنوں کو نجات دیا کرتے ہیں | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | So We listened to him: and delivered him from distress: and thus do We deliver those who have faith.

| 29. [21:89] | Wazakariyya ith nadarabbahu rabbi la tatharnee fardan waanta khayru alwaritheena | وزكريا إذ نادى ربه رب لا تذرني فردا وأنت خير الوارثين وَزَكَرِيَّا إِذْ نَادَى رَبَّهُ رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِي فَرْدًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْوَارِثِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اور زکریا (علیہ السلام کو بھی یاد کریں) جب انہوں نے اپنے رب کو پکارا: اے میرے رب! مجھے اکیلا مت چھوڑ اور تو سب وارثوں سے بہتر ہے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And (remember) Zakariya, when he cried to his Lord: "O my Lord! leave me not without offspring, though thou art the best of inheritors."

| Words | |وزكريا - And Zakariya,| إذ - when| نادى - he called| ربه - (to) his Lord,| رب - "My Lord!| لا - (Do) not| تذرني - leave me| فردا - alone,| وأنت - while You| خير - (are) [the] Best| الوارثين - (of) the inheritors."| | ||||||

[21:91] | Waallatee ahsanat farjahafanafakhna feeha min roohinawajaAAalnaha waibnaha ayatanlilAAalameena | والتي أحصنت فرجها فنفخنا فيها من روحنا وجعلناها وابنها آية للعالمين وَالَّتِي أَحْصَنَتْ فَرْجَهَا فَنَفَخْنَا فِيهَا مِن رُّوحِنَا وَجَعَلْنَاهَا وَابْنَهَا آيَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ | |||||
| Tahir ul Qadri | اس (پاکیزہ) خاتون (مریم علیہا السلام) کو (بھی یاد کریں) جس نے اپنی عفت کی حفاظت کی پھر ہم نے اس میں اپنی روح پھونک دی اور ہم نے اسے اور اس کے بیٹے (عیسٰی علیہ السلام) کو جہان والوں کے لئے (اپنی قدرت کی) نشانی بنا دیا | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And (remember) her who guarded her chastity: We breathed into her of Our spirit, and We made her and her son a sign for all peoples.
