Qala faithhab fa-innalaka fee alhayati an taqoola la misasawa-inna laka mawAAidan lan tukhlafahu waonthurila ilahika allathee thaltaAAalayhi AAakifan lanuharriqannahu thummalanansifannahu fee alyammi nasfan قال فاذهب فإن لك في الحياة أن تقول لا مساس وإن لك موعدا لن تخلفه وانظر إلى إلهك الذي ظلت عليه عاكفا لنحرقنه ثم لننسفنه في اليم نسفا
قَالَ فَاذْهَبْ فَإِنَّ لَكَ فِي الْحَيَاةِ أَن تَقُولَ لَا مِسَاسَ وَإِنَّ لَكَ مَوْعِدًا لَّنْ تُخْلَفَهُ وَانظُرْ إِلَى إِلَهِكَ الَّذِي ظَلْتَ عَلَيْهِ عَاكِفًا لَّنُحَرِّقَنَّهُ ثُمَّ لَنَنسِفَنَّهُ فِي الْيَمِّ نَسْفًا

  (موسٰی علیہ السلام نے) فرمایا: پس تو (یہاں سے نکل کر) چلا جا چنانچہ تیرے لئے (ساری) زندگی میں یہ (سزا) ہے کہ تو (ہر کسی کو یہی) کہتا رہے: (مجھے) نہ چھونا (مجھے نہ چھونا)، اور بیشک تیرے لئے ایک اور وعدۂ (عذاب) بھی ہے جس کی ہرگز خلاف ورزی نہ ہوگی، اور تو اپنے اس (من گھڑت) معبود کی طرف دیکھ جس (کی پوجا) پر تو جم کر بیٹھا رہا، ہم اسے ضرور جلا ڈالیں گے پھر ہم اس (کی راکھ) کو ضرور دریا میں اچھی طرح بکھیر دیں گے

Yousuf Ali(Moses) said: "Get thee gone! but thy (punishment) in this life will be that thou wilt say, 'touch me not'; and moreover (for a future penalty) thou hast a promise that will not fail: Now look at thy god, of whom thou hast become a devoted worshipper: We will certainly (melt) it in a blazing fire and scatter it broadcast in the sea!"

Ahmed Aliکہا بس چلا جا تیرے لیے زندگی میں یہ سزا ہے کہ توکہے گا ہاتھ نہ لگانا اورتیرے لیے ایک وعدہ ہے جو تجھ سے ٹلنے والا نہیں اور تو اپنے معبود کو دیکھ جس پر تو جما بیٹھا تھا ہم اسے ضرور جلا دیں گے پھر اسے دریا میں بکھیر کر بہا دیں گے
Ahmed Raza Khanکہا تو چلتا بن کہ دنیا کی زندگی میں تیری سزا یہ ہے کہ تو کہے چھو نہ جا اور بیشک تیرے لیے ایک وعدہ کا وقت ہے جو تجھ سے خلاف نہ ہوگا اور اپنے اس معبود کو دیکھ جس کے سامنے تو دن بھر آسن مارے (پوجا کے لیے بیٹھا) رہا قسم ہے ہم ضرور اسے جلائیں گے پھر ریزہ ریزہ کرکے دریا میں بہائیں گے
Shabbir Ahmed موسیٰ نے کہا: اچھا تو جاؤ یقینا ہے (سزا) تیرے لیے زندگی بھر کہ کہتا رہے: ''مجھے نہ چُھونا''۔ اور بے شک تیرے لیے ایک وقت مقّرر ہے (عذاب کا) جو نہ ٹل سکے گا تجھ سے اور ذرا دیکھ اپنے اس خدا کو کہ کرتا رہا تھا تو جس کی عبادت۔ ہم ضرور جلادیں گے اسے پھر بکھیردیں گے ہم اُسے سمندر میں ریزہ ریزہ کر کے۔
Fateh Muhammad Jalandhary(موسیٰ نے) کہا جا تجھ کو دنیا کی زندگی میں یہ (سزا) ہے کہ کہتا رہے کہ مجھ کو ہاتھ نہ لگانا اور تیرے لئے ایک اور وعدہ ہے (یعنی عذاب کا) جو تجھ سے ٹل نہ سکے گا اور جس معبود (کی پوجا) پر تو (قائم و) معتکف تھا اس کو دیکھ۔ ہم اسے جلادیں گے پھر اس (کی راکھ) کو اُڑا کر دریا میں بکھیر دیں گے
Mehmood Al Hassanکہا موسٰی نے دور ہو تیرے لئے زندگی بھر تو اتنی سزا ہے کہ کہا کرے مت چھیڑو اور تیرے واسطے ایک وعدہ ہے وہ ہرگز تجھ سے خلاف نہ ہو گا اور دیکھ اپنے معبود کو جس پر تمام دن تو معتکف رہتا تھا ہم اسکو جلا دیں گے پھر بکھیر دیں گے دریا میں اڑا کر
Abul Ala Maududiموسیٰؑ نے کہا " اچھا تو جا، اب زندگی بھر تجھے یہی پکارتے رہنا ہے کہ مجھے نہ چھونا اور تیرے لیے بازپُرس کا ایک وقت مقرر ہے جو تجھ سے ہرگز نہ ٹلے گا اور دیکھ اپنے اِس خدا کو جس پر تو ریجھا ہُوا تھا، اب ہم اسے جلا ڈالیں گے اور ریزہ ریزہ کر کے دریا میں بہا دیں گے

LiteralHe said: "So go/go away , so then for you in the life that you say: 'No touch/desperate need .'And that for you (is) an appointment you will never/not break it, and look/see to your God whom you continue/remain on him devoting/dedicating , we will burn him (E), then we will uproot and disperse/destroy him (E) in the body of water uprooting and dispersing/destruction ."

Pickthal(Moses) said: Then go! and lo! in this life it is for thee to say: Touch me not! and lo! there is for thee a tryst thou canst not break. Now look upon thy god of which thou hast remained a votary. Verily we will burn it and will scatter its dust over the sea.
Arberry 'Depart!' said Moses. 'It shall be thine all this life to cry "Untouchable!" And thereafter a tryst awaits thee thou canst not fail to keep Behold thy god, to whom all the day thou wast cleaving! We will surely burn it and scatter its ashes into the sea.
ShakirHe said: Begone then, surely for you it will be in this life to say, Touch (me) not; and surely there is a threat for you, which shall not be made to fail to you, and look at your god to whose worship you kept (so long); we will certainly burn it, then we will certainly scatter it a (wide) scattering in the sea.
SarwarMoses said, "Go away! Throughout your life you will not be able to let anyone touch you. This will be your punishment in this life. The time for your final punishment is inevitable. You will never be able to avoid it. Look at your god which you have been worshipping. We will burn it in the fire and scatter its ashes into the sea."
H/K/Saheeh[Moses] said, Then go. And indeed, it is [decreed] for you in [this] life to say, No contact.

George SaleMoses said, get thee gone; for thy punishment in this life shall be, that thou shalt say unto those who shall meet thee, touch me not; and a treat is denounced against thee of more terrible pains, in the life to come, which thou shalt by no means escape. And behold now thy god, to whose worship thou hast continued assiduously devoted: Verily we will burn it; and we will reduce it to powder, and scatter it in the sea.

Khalifa**He said, "Then go, and, throughout your life, do not even come close. You have an appointed time (for your final judgment) that you can never evade. Look at your god that you used to worship; we will burn it and throw it into the sea, to stay down there forever."
Hilali/Khan**Moosa (Moses) said: "Then go away! And verily, your (punishment) in this life will be that you will say: "Touch me not (i.e.you will live alone exiled away from mankind); and verily (for a future torment), you have a promise that will not fail. And look at your ilah (god), to which you have been devoted. We will certainly burn it, and scatter its particles in the sea."
QXP Shabbir Ahemd**Moses said, "Go away then, for good! In this life it is for you to say, "Touch me not!" And moreover you have a promise that will not fail. (People will consider and treat you as untouchable as before, and the suffering of the Hereafter is inescapable). Now, look at your god to whom you were so devoted. Verily, We will burn it and scatter its ashes far and wide over the sea." (Moses wanted his people to behold the powerlessness of the false deities and their potential to divide humanity).
