Qala basurtu bima lamyabsuroo bihi faqabadtu qabdatan min atharialrrasooli fanabathtuha wakathalikasawwalat lee nafsee قال بصرت بما لم يبصروا به فقبضت قبضة من أثر الرسول فنبذتها وكذلك سولت لي نفسي
قَالَ بَصُرْتُ بِمَا لَمْ يَبْصُرُوا بِهِ فَقَبَضْتُ قَبْضَةً مِّنْ أَثَرِ الرَّسُولِ فَنَبَذْتُهَا وَكَذَلِكَ سَوَّلَتْ لِي نَفْسِي

  اس نے کہا: میں نے وہ چیز دیکھی جو ان لوگوں نے نہیں دیکھی تھی سو میں نے اُس فرستادہ (فرشتے) کے نقش قدم سے (جو آپ کے پاس آیا تھا) ایک مٹھی (مٹی کی) بھر لی پھر میں نے اسے (بچھڑے کے قالب میں) ڈال دیا اور اسی طرح میرے نفس نے مجھے (یہ بات) بھلی کر دکھائی

Ahmed Aliکہا میں نے وہ چیز دیکھی تھی جو دوسروں نے نہ دیکھی پھر میں نے رسول کے نقشِ قدم کی ایک مٹھی مٹی میں لے کر ڈال دی اور میرے دل نے مجھے ایسی ہی بات سوجھائی

Fateh Muhammad Jalandharyاس نے کہا کہ میں نے ایسی چیز دیکھی جو اوروں نے نہیں دیکھی تو میں نے فرشتے کے نقش پا سے (مٹی کی) ایک مٹھی بھر لی۔ پھر اس کو (بچھڑے کے قالب میں) ڈال دیا اور مجھے میرے جی نے (اس کام کو) اچھا بتایا

Abul Ala Maududiاس نے جواب دیا "میں نے وہ چیز دیکھی جو اِن لوگوں کو نظر نہ آئی، پس میں نے رسُول کے نقش قدم سے ایک مٹھی اٹھا لی اور اُس کو ڈال دیا میرے نفس نے مجھے کچھ ایسا ہی سجھایا"

SarwarHe replied, "I had the skill (of carving) which they did not have. I followed some of the Messengers's (Moses) tradition, but I then ignored it. Thus, my soul prompted me (to carve a golden calf with an artificial hollow sound).
