Yawma-ithin yattabiAAoona alddaAAiyala AAiwaja lahu wakhashaAAati al-aswatu lilrrahmanifala tasmaAAu illa hamsan يومئذ يتبعون الداعي لا عوج له وخشعت الأصوات للرحمن فلا تسمع إلا همسا
يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَّبِعُونَ الدَّاعِيَ لَا عِوَجَ لَهُ وَخَشَعَتِ الْأَصْوَاتُ لِلرَّحْمَنِ فَلَا تَسْمَعُ إِلَّا هَمْسًا

  اس دن لوگ پکارنے والے کے پیچھے چلتے جائیں گے اس (کے پیچھے چلنے) میں کوئی کجی نہیں ہوگی، اور (خدائے) رحمان کے جلال سے سب آوازیں پست ہوجائیں گی پس تم ہلکی سی آہٹ کے سوا کچھ نہ سنوگے

Yousuf AliOn that Day will they follow the Caller (straight): no crookedness (can they show) him: all sounds shall humble themselves in the Presence of (Allah) Most Gracious: nothing shalt thou hear but the tramp of their feet (as they march).

Ahmed Aliاس دن پکارےنے والے کا اتباع کریں گے اس میں کوئی کجی نہیں ہوگی اور رحمان کے ڈر سے آوازیں دب جائیں گی پھر تو پاؤں کی آہٹ کے سوا کچھ نہیں سنے گا
Ahmed Raza Khanاس دن پکارنے والے کے پیچھے دوڑیں گے اس میں کجی نہ ہوگی اور سب آوازیں رحمن کے حضو ر پست ہوکر رہ جائیں گی تو تُو نہ سنے گا مگر بہت آہستہ آواز
Shabbir Ahmed اس دن پیچھے پیچھے چلیں گے سب لوگ پُکارنے والے کے (اس طرح) کہ ذرا بھی اکڑ نہیں دکھاسکیں گے اور پست ہوجائیں گی آوازیں رحمٰن کے حضور، نہ سُنے گا تو مگر کُھسر پُھسر۔
Fateh Muhammad Jalandharyاس روز لوگ ایک پکارنے والے کے پیچھے چلیں گے اور اس کی پیروی سے انحراف نہ کرسکیں گے اور خدا کے سامنے آوازیں پست ہوجائیں گی تو تم آواز خفی کے سوا کوئی آواز نہ سنو گے
Mehmood Al Hassanاُس دن پیچھے دوڑیں گے پکارنے والے کے ٹیڑھی نہیں جسکی بات اور دب جائیں گی آوازیں رحمٰن کے ڈر سے پھر تو نہ سنے گا مگر گھس گھسی آواز
Abul Ala Maududiاس روز سب لوگ منادی کی پکار پر سیدھے چلے آئیں گے، کوئی ذرا اکڑ نہ دکھا سکے گا اور آوازیں رحمان کے آگے دب جائیں گی، ایک سرسراہٹ کے سوا تم کچھ نہ سنو گے

Literal(On) that day they follow the caller/requester, no crookedness/indirectness for it, and the voices/sounds silenced/humbled to the merciful, so you do not hear except whispering/quiet or subdued voices.

QXP Shabbir Ahemd**On that Day all people will follow the caller who has no crookedness in him. (Ta Ha, the Ideal Prophet's call. The Call that is straight, without crookedness (2:186), (7:86), (18:1), (33:46)). And they will follow the call without deviation. The most vociferous of leaders will subdue their voices before the Message of the Beneficent. You will only hear soft voices, gentle footsteps.
