| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |
| 1. [2:51] | Wa-ith waAAadna moosaarbaAAeena laylatan thumma ittakhathtumu alAAijla minbaAAdihi waantum thalimoona |  وإذ واعدنا موسى أربعين ليلة ثم اتخذتم العجل من بعده وأنتم ظالمونوَإِذْ وَاعَدْنَا مُوسَى أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً ثُمَّ اتَّخَذْتُمُ الْعِجْلَ مِن بَعْدِهِ وَأَنتُمْ ظَالِمُونَ | |||||

| Tahir ul Qadri | اور (وہ وقت بھی یاد کرو) جب ہم نے موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) سے چالیس راتوں کا وعدہ فرمایا تھا پھر تم نے موسیٰ (علیہ السلام کے چلّہءِ اعتکاف میں جانے) کے بعد بچھڑے کو (اپنا) معبود بنا لیا اور تم واقعی بڑے ظالم تھے | ||||||
| Yousuf Ali | And remember We appointed forty nights for Moses, and in his absence ye took the calf (for worship), and ye did grievous wrong.
