Allatheena ya/kuloona alrribala yaqoomoona illa kama yaqoomu allatheeyatakhabbatuhu alshshaytanu mina almassi thalikabi-annahum qaloo innama albayAAu mithlu alrribawaahalla Allahu albayAAa waharrama alrribafaman jaahu mawAAithatun min rabbihi faintahafalahu ma salafa waamruhu ila Allahi wamanAAada faola-ika as-habu alnnarihum feeha khalidoona الذين يأكلون الربا لا يقومون إلا كما يقوم الذي يتخبطه الشيطان من المس ذلك بأنهم قالوا إنما البيع مثل الربا وأحل الله البيع وحرم الربا فمن جاءه موعظة من ربه فانتهى فله ما سلف وأمره إلى الله ومن عاد فأولئك أصحاب النار هم فيها خالدون
الَّذِينَ يَأْكُلُونَ الرِّبَا لاَ يَقُومُونَ إِلاَّ كَمَا يَقُومُ الَّذِي يَتَخَبَّطُهُ الشَّيْطَانُ مِنَ الْمَسِّ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُواْ إِنَّمَا الْبَيْعُ مِثْلُ الرِّبَا وَأَحَلَّ اللّهُ الْبَيْعَ وَحَرَّمَ الرِّبَا فَمَن جَاءَهُ مَوْعِظَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِ فَانتَهَى فَلَهُ مَا سَلَفَ وَأَمْرُهُ إِلَى اللّهِ وَمَنْ عَادَ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ

  جو لوگ سُود کھاتے ہیں وہ (روزِ قیامت) کھڑے نہیں ہو سکیں گے مگر جیسے وہ شخص کھڑا ہوتا ہے جسے شیطان (آسیب) نے چھو کر بدحواس کر دیا ہو، یہ اس لئے کہ وہ کہتے تھے کہ تجارت (خرید و فروخت) بھی تو سود کی مانند ہے، حالانکہ اﷲ نے تجارت (سوداگری) کو حلال فرمایا ہے اور سود کو حرام کیا ہے، پس جس کے پاس اس کے رب کی جانب سے نصیحت پہنچی سو وہ (سود سے) باز آگیا تو جو پہلے گزر چکا وہ اسی کا ہے، اور اس کا معاملہ اﷲ کے سپرد ہے، اور جس نے پھر بھی لیا سو ایسے لوگ جہنمی ہیں، وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے

Yousuf AliThose who devour usury will not stand except as stand one whom the Evil one by his touch Hath driven to madness. That is because they say: "Trade is like usury," but Allah hath permitted trade and forbidden usury. Those who after receiving direction from their Lord, desist, shall be pardoned for the past; their case is for Allah (to judge); but those who repeat (The offence) are companions of the Fire: They will abide therein (for ever).

Ahmed Aliجو لوگ سود کھاتے ہیں قیامت کے دن وہ نہیں اٹھیں گے مگر جس طرح کہ وہ شخص اٹھتا ہے جس کے حواس جن نے لپٹ کر کھو دیئے ہیں یہ حالت ان کی اس لیے ہوگی کہ انہوں نے کہا تھا کہ سوداگری بھی تو ایسی ہی ہے جیسےسود لینا حالانکہ الله نے سوداگری کو حلال کیا ہے اور سود کو حرام کیا ہے پھر جسے اپنے رب کی طرف سے نصیحت پہنچی اوروہ باز آ گیا تو جو پہلے لے چکا ہے وہ اسی کا رہا اور اس کا معاملہ الله کے حوالہ ہے اور جو کوئی پھر سود لے وہی لوگ دوزخ والے ہیں وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے
Ahmed Raza Khanوہ جو سود کھاتے ہیں قیامت کے دن نہ کھڑے ہوں گے مگر، جیسے کھڑا ہوتا ہے وہ جسے آسیب نے چھو کر مخبوط بنادیا ہو اس لئے کہ انہوں نے کہا بیع بھی تو سود ہی کے مانند ہے، اور اللہ نے حلال کیا بیع کو اور حرام کیا سود، تو جسے اس کے رب کے پاس سے نصیحت آئی اور وہ باز رہا تو اسے حلال ہے جو پہلے لے چکا، اور اس کا کام خدا کے سپرد ہے اور جو اب ایسی حرکت کرے گا تو وہ دوزخی ہے وہ اس میں مدتو ں رہیں گے
Shabbir Ahmed جو لوگ کھاتے ہیں سُود، نہیں اُٹھیں گے وہ (روزِ قیامت) مگر جیسے اٹھتا ہے وہ شخص جسے باؤلا کر دیا ہو شیطان نے چھوکر۔ یہ (حال) اس لیے ہوگا کہ وہ کہتے ہیں آخر تجارت بھی تو سود ہی کی مانند ہے۔ حالانکہ حلال کیا ہے اللہ نے تجارت کو اور حرام کردیا ہے سود کو۔ لہٰذا جس کو پہنچ گئی نصیحت اس کے رب کی طرف سے اور وہ باز آگیا (سود خوری سے) تو اس کا ہے وہ جو پہلے لے چُکا وہ۔ اور معاملہ اس کا اللہ کے حوالے اور جس نے پھر لیا (سود) تو ایسے ہی لوگ ہیں جہنمی وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے۔
Fateh Muhammad Jalandharyجو لوگ سود کھاتے ہیں وہ (قبروں سے) اس طرح (حواس باختہ) اٹھیں گے جیسے کسی کو جن نے لپٹ کر دیوانہ بنا دیا ہو یہ اس لئے کہ وہ کہتے ہیں کہ سودا بیچنا بھی تو (نفع کے لحاظ سے) ویسا ہی ہے جیسے سود (لینا) حالانکہ سودے کو خدا نے حلال کیا ہے اور سود کو حرام۔ تو جس شخص کے پاس خدا کی نصیحت پہنچی اور وہ (سود لینے سے) باز آگیا تو جو پہلے ہوچکا وہ اس کا۔ اور (قیامت میں) اس کا معاملہ خدا کے سپرد اور جو پھر لینے لگا تو ایسے لوگ دوزخی ہیں کہ ہمیشہ دوزخ میں (جلتے) رہیں گے

Abul Ala Maududiمگر جو لوگ سود کھاتے ہیں، اُ ن کا حال اُس شخص کا سا ہوتا ہے، جسے شیطان نے چھو کر باؤلا کر دیا ہو اور اس حالت میں اُن کے مبتلا ہونے کی وجہ یہ ہے کہ وہ کہتے ہیں: "تجارت بھی تو آخر سود ہی جیسی چیز ہے"، حالانکہ اللہ نے تجارت کو حلال کیا ہے اور سود کو حرام لہٰذا جس شخص کو اس کے رب کی طرف سے یہ نصیحت پہنچے اور آئندہ کے لیے وہ سود خوری سے باز آ جائے، تو جو کچھ وہ پہلے کھا چکا، سو کھا چکا، اس کا معاملہ اللہ کے حوالے ہے اور جو اِس حکم کے بعد پھر اسی حرکت کا اعادہ کرے، وہ جہنمی ہے، جہاں وہ ہمیشہ رہے گا

LiteralThose who eat the growth/interest/usury , they do not stand/keep up except as (that who) stands/keeps up who the devil strikes/touches him from the madness, that (is) because they (E) said: "But the selling/trading (is) equal/similar/alike (to) the growth/interest/usury , and God permitted/allowed the selling/trading and forbade the growth/interest/usury ." So who came to him (got) a warning/advice from his Lord, so he ended/stopped , so for him what preceded/past , and his matter/affair (is) to God, and who returned , so those are the fire's owners/company , they are in it immortally/eternally .

PickthalThose who swallow usury cannot rise up save as he ariseth whom the devil hath prostrated by (his) touch. He unto whom an admonition from his Lord cometh, and (he) refraineth (in obedience thereto), he shall keep (the profits of) that which is past, and his affair (henceforth) is with Allah. Arberry Those who devour usury shall not rise again except as he rises, whom Satan of the touch prostrates; that is because they say, 'Trafficking (trade) is like usury.' God has permitted trafficking, and forbidden usury. Whosoever receives an admonition from his Lord and gives over, he shall have his past gains, and his affair is committed to God; but whosoever reverts -- those are the inhabitants of the Fire, therein dwelling forever.
ShakirThose who swallow down usury cannot arise except as one whom Shaitan has prostrated by (his) touch does rise. That is because they say, trading is only like usury; and Allah has allowed trading and forbidden usury. To whomsoever then the admonition has come from his Lord, then he desists, he shall have what has already passed, and his affair is in the hands of Allah; and whoever returns (to it)-- these arc the inmates of the fire; they shall abide in it.
SarwarThose who take unlawful interest will stand before God (on the Day of Judgment) as those who suffer from a mental imbalance because of Satan's touch; they have said that trade is just like unlawful interest. God has made trade lawful and has forbidden unlawful interest. One who has received advice from his Lord and has stopped committing sins will be rewarded for his previous good deeds. His affairs will be in the hands of God. But one who turns back to committing sins will be of the dwellers of hell wherein he will live forever.
H/K/SaheehThose who consume interest cannot stand [on the Day of Resurrection] except as one stands who is being beaten by Satan into insanity. That is because they say, "Trade is [just] like interest." But Allah has permitted trade and has forbidden interest. So whoever has received an admonition from his Lord and desists may have what is past, and his affair rests with Allah. But whoever returns to [dealing in interest or usury] those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein.
MalikThose who live on usury will not rise up before Allah except like those who are driven to madness by the touch of Satan. That is because they claim: "Trading is no different than usury, but Allah has made trading lawful and usury unlawful. He who has received the admonition from his Lord and has mended his way may keep his previous gains; Allah will be his judge. Those who turn back (repeat this crime), they shall be the inmates of hellfire wherein they will live forever.[275]

Free MindsThose who consume financial interest, they do not rise except as the one who is being beaten by the devil out of direct touch. That is because they have said: "Trade is like financial interest." While God has made trade lawful, and He has forbidden financial interest. Whoever has received understanding from His Lord and ceases, then he will be forgiven for what was before this and his case will be with God. But whoever returns, then they are the people of the Fire, in it they will abide eternally.
Qaribullah Those who consume usury shall not rise up (from their tomb) except as he who rises in madness that satan has touched. That is because they say: 'Selling is like usury. ' Allah has permitted trading and forbidden usury. To whomsoever an exhortation comes from his Lord then he desists, he shall have his past gains, and his matter is with Allah. But whoever reverts shall be among the people of the Fire and shall remain in it for ever.

Khalifa**Those who charge usury are in the same position as those controlled by the devil's influence. This is because they claim that usury is the same as commerce. However, GOD permits commerce, and prohibits usury. Thus, whoever heeds this commandment from his Lord, and refrains from usury, he may keep his past earnings, and his judgment rests with GOD. As for those who persist in usury, they incur Hell, wherein they abide forever.
Hilali/Khan**Those who eat Riba (usury) will not stand (on the Day of Resurrection) except like the standing of a person beaten by Shaitan (Satan) leading him to insanity. That is because they say: "Trading is only like Riba (usury)," whereas Allah has permitted trading and forbidden Riba (usury). So whosoever receives an admonition from his Lord and stops eating Riba (usury) shall not be punished for the past; his case is for Allah (to judge); but whoever returns (to Riba (usury)), such are the dwellers of the Fire - they will abide therein.
QXP Shabbir Ahemd**On the other hand are those who eat usury. In greed of money, they run around like someone who has been bitten by a snake. They claim that trade is like usury. This is not so. Trade is the return on labor that is permissible (53:39), while usury is the return on money. That is why Allah, in His Infinite Wisdom, has permitted trade and forbidden usury. One to whom the clear Admonition has come from his Sustainer, must abstain from taking usury forthwith. What he has taken in the past, he may keep and his judgment rests with Allah. (It is better for him to return the interest he has earned if possible, but the law shall not force him to do so). As for him who returns to usury, such are the rightful companions of the Fire to abide therein. (Satan=Serpent).
